I've always loved to recreate tactics in FM, especially testing with my favorited team, Manchester United. This time I've gone on and tried to emulate and switch up a total football system in a crazy 3-2-4-1 formation, it's produced devastating effect. I decided to sign Costa to see how the tactic would work with a good SK ( De Gea is definitely not a good SK ). I know it's not a normal thing to do with tests but it's whatever.
Set Pieces
For me set pieces, like most, depend on the actual attributes of the players so for this system Bruno Fernandes is the main set piece taker.
Player Instructions
Neither of the wide CB's have anything. The BPD has dribble more. The VOL-AT, both wingers, the DM-S and the CF all have mark Tighter. Every all of the 4 ahead of the 2 dm's have '' roam from position
Recommended attributes
You need a VOL - A that can finish as he will get into lots of great positions to score , for a bigger team Jude Bellingham would be an obvious recommendation, with SS you'll obviously need good finishers and an all round great striker, good passing, can at least somewhat jump you get the gist.
Footedness
All I'd recommend is a right footed Left Winger and a Left footed Right winger, haven't seen much problems with Martinez as RCB.
