2014 World Cup thread

Brilliant game. Mexico really played well but were so unlucky. Absolute cracker of a WC so far!
 
Argentina don't play well-****** a win.
Brazil don't play well-****** a win.
Netherlands don't play well-****** a win.

God knows what the final is going to be like.
 
Yet to see a side that are clear favourites for the tournament. Brazil have been wank in every game except for perhaps Cameroon (lol) but the are picking up wins. Same can be said of Belgium as well. Holland started off brilliantly but have tailed off although they too are picking up wins. Argentina and Germany have been pretty **** as well. Surprisingly the likes of Colombia and Costa Rica have at least maintained some semblance of consistency

Someones luck has to run out eventually though right? Loads of big teams just riding a wave of luck at the moment

Tbh it's nice that you can win even without playing well but it is getting a little annoying. Hopefully they start putting in good performances or see their luck run out next round
 
Is it me but if you look at Robben the expression is always the same on his face when he falls in the box. Chronic constipation.

Tbh with these nations riding their luck in the knockout stages i wouldn't be surprised to see an ultra defensive WC final

That would be extremely disappointing especially after the WC we have had so far. I guess it will be just extremely frustrating if we see a team like Brazil win the tournament without putting in a single good performance. Hope the big teams start stepping up now

Yeah it's about time some of the players showed why they are worthy of being in the national sides. There's been some very por performances all round. Messi may have scored 4 goals in a couple of games but he's been sub par aswell. Maybe it's tired legs from a lengthy domestic season who knows.
 
Ian Wright calling Hoddle "Gaffer" every 10 seconds is becoming nauseating.
 
Costa Rica one up. I think it's safe to say if they make it to the quarter-finals the whole country's going to be celebrating.
