Boring 1 - 0 at Stamford; Chelsea clear path to Wembley
A boring 1 - 0 for Chelsea today. They won the game vs Charlton for the Carling cup with a 44th minute goal by Neymar. Other than that there wasn't much excitement in the game. That is not surprising, because Chelsea started with the following line-up: Sam Walker (GK), Aanholt, Terry, De Vrij, Bosingwa, Ramires, Malouda, McEachran, Benayoun, Borini, Neymar. At half - time Kalou and Sturridge replaced Benayoung and Neymar, but nothing much more happened. Despite the fact Chelsea were leading with only one goal, the solid performance in defence destroyed any chance Charlton had of scoring.
Chelsea 1 - 0 Charlton

Carling Cup 1/4 final draw
The Carling Cup draw was very interesting today. As the first draw put's the teams of Plymouth Argyle and Chelsea London. Plymouth will have a bit of advantage against the substitutions of Chelsea as they will face them at their own stadium - Home Park Stadium. Meanwhile Fulham will face Sunderland in West London and Cardiff take on Wolverhampton. The last 1/4 final faces the "killer" of Manchester United Stoke City against Middlesbrough.

Derby day..Quiet but not dull; Spurs unable to stop Chelsea
Tottenham fell hard at Stamford Bridge! An incredible display by both sides ended up with a 1 - 0 result for Chelsea. Despite the recent nice results by The Whites, Spurs couldn't stop Chelsea who are yet to be defeated in the Barclays Premier League. A lot of interesting attacks and shots were witnessed by the public at the Bridge. The fantastic performances of Hazard, Drogba, Bale and Modric surely had the crowd in ecstasy for the whole match. The match started a little bit quiet, but then a thunder-bolt counter-attack by Bale ended with Van Der Vaart hitting the post. Right after that shot, Lampard return the favour. "Super Frank" lobbed the ball over Van Gomes but hid the bar and couldn't give Chelsea the lead. The еxpected happened in the 35th minute after Neymar gave a short pass to Hazard who lead to Drogba to a one-on-one with Gomes. Drogba didn't have any problems scoring and Chelsea greeted themselves with a well earned lead at the break. In the second half Spurs tried to equalize but couldn't. De Vrij, Alex and Terry kept away from Petr Cech players like Bale and Modric. Drogba and Sturridge also had some chances but couldn't convert them. Definite bad news though, is the injury of Frank Lampard who will be out for 4 weeks.
Chelsea 1 - 0 Tottenham
Drogba
