I know it's an old tactic in an old topic for an old game, and this is an old question, but forgive me I'm an old guy!
Whats stats should I be focusing on for the Left and Right sided strikers?
I've read through from page 161 onwards and there's differing and mixed answers.
Does the right want to be finishing and pace?
The left headers and strength?
If someone could jsut go into a little depth, top 5 stats for each side even, please, I'd be most grateful.
I've been playing these game since CM 2000, so I'm an "old guy "too...lol
GK: the best could find.
FB: a) physical qualities, especially speed, b) techniques such as cross, marking, steps b) mental like without the ball, position, team play.
CB: best you could buy (you can add "corner scoring" though...lol)
MC: MCR deffensive MCL Offensive, never with 2 Technical Midfielders (Fabregas+Pastore). 2 Pure MC, if not, Un-tick "Swapping".
WGS: fast, cross and dribble, play as a team. Do not need finalizing. Must be of the wings as well, not adapted attackers.
FR: finalizer (target man), consider physical values.
Tick how to play him, but Don't tick "target man" in tactic.
FL: 'finalizer, a little' finisher, technical quality: passes, mental qualities: teamwork, Without the ball, intuition and even a bit of imagination.
so, it could be said:
STCR : Strong and finisher ex: Drogba, Dzeko, Ibrahimovic.
If he's really quick you can tick "run onto ball" in tactic (target man supply), If he's strong but slow (Carroll) tick "to head" (PPM play with back to goal is an advantage), if none strong or pacey but have good finishing you can tick "to feet"
STCL : Agile and Quick ex: Aquero, Neymar, Pato.
This tactic has a little weakness though which is in defending free-kick and corner, so it's better to tweak a little on those, but keep you most speedy player to "stay forward"
