Has anybody used this tactic to sucess in lower leagues (Worse than the Premiership)? I manage Leyton Orient, and I lack a creative forward, and my straight up finisher is pretty poor. My best forward (Tehoue) has never scored a goal in 2 seasons, all he does is score assists acting as a target man in my 4-1-4-1. Do you think this tactic would work well for such a squad?

(Sorry for my bad English and a little bit of using sarcasm:))
I am playing on 11.3 with Gloucester City (Blue Square Bet South) using "Brobs 17 Ultimate 11.3 V3". Signed and loaned lots of free-rubbish-players since this tactic consumes physical aspect.
Got promoted all the way to Premiership. Then, it became "every single match is a headache"-thing..:'(, beaten almost every match to another on my first year on EPL. I've tried a couple of tactics (some of them even fluid on familiarity) but still the result was the same. Managed to survive though, my savior was "JP Woody Anti Football".

And then.... here came MIRACLE!!! it's called "4-2-2-2 II Devasto"

Used this tactic for the first time against Spurs at home and won 5-2!!

From now on, I'll use this tactic for Home matches and against similar -squad strength- opponents (of course...how in the heck could I win against the like of United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs on their home ground? get real...). For the rest of those "can buy anyone-club" I'll stick to JP Woody Anti Football:wub:.

2 Questions: what logo pack and what skin are you using? I love them both

where to place messi to make him score 60+ goals? at the moment villa is scoring all and messi keeps assisting although hes has 40 goals

I know it's an old tactic in an old topic for an old game, and this is an old question, but forgive me I'm an old guy!

Whats stats should I be focusing on for the Left and Right sided strikers?
I've read through from page 161 onwards and there's differing and mixed answers.

Does the right want to be finishing and pace?
The left headers and strength?

If someone could jsut go into a little depth, top 5 stats for each side even, please, I'd be most grateful.

Aww c'mon guys, help a fella out.

Seriously I can't work out if I want a strong CF in the left, or a nippy little finisher in the STCL slot.

and now they'll be FM 2013!! what of it...

I've been playing these game since CM 2000, so I'm an "old guy "too...lol

GK: the best could find.
FB: a) physical qualities, especially speed, b) techniques such as cross, marking, steps b) mental like without the ball, position, team play.
CB: best you could buy (you can add "corner scoring" though...lol)
MC: MCR deffensive MCL Offensive, never with 2 Technical Midfielders (Fabregas+Pastore). 2 Pure MC, if not, Un-tick "Swapping".
WGS: fast, cross and dribble, play as a team. Do not need finalizing. Must be of the wings as well, not adapted attackers.
FR: finalizer (target man), consider physical values. Tick how to play him, but Don't tick "target man" in tactic.
FL: 'finalizer, a little' finisher, technical quality: passes, mental qualities: teamwork, Without the ball, intuition and even a bit of imagination.

so, it could be said:
STCR : Strong and finisher ex: Drogba, Dzeko, Ibrahimovic.
If he's really quick you can tick "run onto ball" in tactic (target man supply), If he's strong but slow (Carroll) tick "to head" (PPM play with back to goal is an advantage), if none strong or pacey but have good finishing you can tick "to feet"
STCL : Agile and Quick ex: Aquero, Neymar, Pato.

This tactic has a little weakness though which is in defending free-kick and corner, so it's better to tweak a little on those, but keep you most speedy player to "stay forward"
