i lost them 3 games 2-1,2-1,2-0 but im finding in the league that my strikers waste so many chances, any ideas?

let them learn the tactic....get your match prep on team blend till the tactic is fluid in all areas. it just a case of getting the players to know the tactic, then it will start working much better

alrite cheerz tbf most of the leeds team to start are completely new so it could take longer than usual

the older version is a little more basic. the only problem with the new tactic is that the midfield rely very much on keeping possession, so with teams that arnt as good, they can become less formidable in possession.

good work with wimbledon though!¬!

Right i thought i would add my thoughts to this VERY good tactic.

I started with Brighton in League 1 & won promotion via the play offs using the V3 version of this tactic.
I then took on the hard job of steering Sheffield United away from relegation (a 3rd of the way) on season 2. I have switched to using the V1 of this tactic with better results & as such my team is now in contention for the play offs (in 5th place) with around 13 games remaining & an outside chance of going up by Auto!

A couple of questions really.

My Keeper always seems to be in bad form (according to my *** man) i find this strange as i managed to sign Juan Pablo Carizo on a free to replace the gaff prone Simmonsen. Is this due to the number of goals opp teams score?

Secondly - i am conceding less goals with V1 rather than V3, which is strange as you said V3 was tighter at the back!

Thirdly - has anyone managed to leak less goals via any tweeks to the tactic?

Forthly - Thanks! This is the best tactic ive found yet!

Hi Harriers,

Thought I would give you a quick update on my Everton game. As I posted earlier I won the prem in my first season but no cups due to a small squad, since then I have bought Eden Hazard and Ryan shawcross (£4m..bargin) kept Babacar on loan for another season and got Wilshire on loan. My second season is 14 games in and has been nothing short of amazing.

Prem - P14 W13 D1 L0 Gls For 43 Agg 7.

Wins have been impressive 3-0 against Liverpoo at Anfield, 4-1 against Chelski at the Bridge but at home my last two games have been 8-1 against Villa then the next game I beat **** 7-1 who were 2nd in the prem and unbeaten also. Match prep during pre-season was defensive pos but now changed to Att Pos at the start of the season...My only defeat has been in the champs League against Inter...3-2. Cahill, Lukaku and Babacar have been on fire along with Hazard - 16 assists in 14 league games!!!

Current starting 11 is T.HOWARD, HEITINGA, SHAWCROSS, JAGIELKA, BAINES, WILSHIRE, FELLAINI, ARTETA, HAZARD, CAHILL (Retrained as a striker..amazing return) and LUKAKU. I have a few youngsters like Kadlec/Rodwell/Babacar warming the bench but they are great when brought in.

Still using V1 and think it is brilliant...cheers

On another note does anyone know how to take and save screenshots on FM11, and if possible where to save them???

Cheers

I always find you need a good keeper for this tactic

V1 will probably be tighter at the back for lesser teams because it is less creative minded in the midfield, where as V3 is slightly more attacking minded.

Havent had any feedback on anyone tweaking the tactic and what they've done to it. To be honest its fairly basic at the back so tweaking could work.

And thanx for trying. Glad the tactic is working so well for you, keep up the good work!

WOW! Thats really impressive first and second seasons for Everton!!

To be honest even I'm suprised its doing so well for you! lol

Cheers anyway. I think ive come to the conclusion that version 1 is the best.

To take a screenshot, press ALT and F9 on the screen you wanna take a screenshot of, then it will be automatically saved into your football manager folder in my documents (or documents) in the screenshots folder

Im also testing a "Man United" version of this tactic so far in the league played 8, won 8, scored 28, conceeded none. just beat arsenal 6-0. lets see how it goes once other teams learn how to combat it....

Hi Harriers,

I have finally managed to save some screenshots from Everton game (post above), fixtures/results are from my second season so far...not too bad for an average team. They just need 4-5 games to get used to the tactic and then the results will come.

thats pretty awesome considering you've only bought a couple of players!

Right a quick update.
I managed to sneak into second spot in the Championship by beating second placed blackpool with two games to spare & i won promotion!
Quite unbelievable really as the Blades were fighting relegation when i stepped in.

Just started season two & the first two games were Chelsea 2 - 0 Sheff Utd & Sheff Utd 1-1 Liverpool .
Ive totally over hauled the squad & signed around 16 players to try & stave off relegation.

glad its going well for you. will be hard for the first season in the prem but once the new players have got used to the style of football you'll get some good results

Hi ,

Ive read up to the 9th page and seem really impressed with the feedback results from other managers , im going to give this a go with Stoke City. Any tips where too strengthen

thanks.

id buy someone quick up front for the left striker position, and some one more creative in the middle of the park. other than that should work well i think.

also change the set pieces of the tactic to take advantage of that long throw!

Am finding the first season in the Prem very hard going.
I just cant seem to score & my strikers are wasting chances.
The team is fluid in all areas as well :(

try changing team instruction from very fluid to fluid or maybe even rigid

im struggling with chelsea with V3, my defence is far from solid. Oppositions having 2 or 3 CCC's and also concede on corners too often.

why cant i download the tactic
i have no idea, what does it say?

Hey Harriers,

Some screenshots from the end of my second season with Everton using V1...It is still working a treat for me, my two league defeats were away against **** 4-3 and Man Ure 3-2, knocked out of both cups by Man Shity.

amazing couple of seasons there mate! Champs League second season with Everton is unbeleivable!
