She works very good =D , 3 games won with Anderlecht since I use this tactic...
Anderlecht-Courtrai: 3-0
Anderlecht-Westerlo: 3-1
Valencia-Anderlecht: 0-2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you ;-)

Been playing 17games now.
16wins 1 draw 0 losses
59goals scored 8 let in.

Works fantastic, and iam still using v1 of the tac.

Okay as requested by blueross I'll test this tactic out for a while.
The tactic with my gg is basically the same so it would not take long to adapt.

I'm Hercules and have a decent squad especially on the attack with Ozil as the playmaker, Douglas Costa and De Las Cuevas on the wings and Kadlec upfront - who have been on fire with 20 goals in 11 games. :D

I won't tweak too much with the tactic other than some individuals settings so that it fits so that the tactic can be measured reliably.
Gonna test this until it adapts and then 15 games or so and report the results soon.

EDIT : turns on no adapting is needed

So I can go straight away with the 15 games.

Cheers

I'm looking for this test between 2 great tacticians ^^... I'm trying too this tactic et the koflok's tactic with Anderlecht and the two works quite good ;-)

thx man i 'l try this one 2 if turns out 2 be good you 'l now

Ok blueross I'm here for the report.

First of all great tactic. My results probably doesn't really reflect much since my team maybe lack the quality

So basically as mentioned above my team didn't need much adapting to do so I just get straight with it.

Here's the results and my analysis.

The first 3 matches are relatively hard-away matches which the results can be understood.
From then on I got mixed results. Honest to god I don't know why the results are like that despite playing better football.

Some 'not so good' things I'm noticing are
1. Your player seems to do a lot of long shot instead of creating CCC
2. Same goes to crossing
3. Defending against corner and set pieces still need work.

That being said. I really enjoy how you play around with the ball, keeping possession and build up plays. Sometimes a bit too much, though, as the players tend to do one pass too many. Preferring to keep possession instead of delivering that killer ball - which causes the lack of clear cut chances for the striker.
Another thing I like how the midfielder is working hard to win back possession on the middle of the field which help the percentage of the possession. Against Barca on one point we got more possession.

Okay so the final 5 games, I tweaked the tactic a bit. Not too much that it change the overall tactic but just enough to fix some issues. Some tweakings are borrowed from my own unreleased updated tactic :)

So basically what you need to do is convert that possession football to clear cut opportunities on goal.
Ok what I did was man marking for the fullback, lessen some crossing and long shots and I encourage more freedom as well as more mixed-direct passing for the wingers so that the striker would get more through ball. As well as some other tweakings of my own.

The result is I notched up 4 straight wins - including 5-1 trashing of Liverpool. I got 6 CCCs in that game. and a draw against Madrid at Bernebau which is not a bad thing, really - especially due to the fact that I got 2 red cards in 88th minute and 5 minutes later Madrid equalized.

Basically what you need to do is to convert your possession into clear cut chances and you're golden.

Sorry for the long post. I thought a full analysis would help you make the tactic that much better.

Cheers.

I've been trying this tactic first season with Leeds in pre season.
I alternate between this tactic (for small pitches) and the park the plane tactic for large pitches.
Played four games so far with this tacticand have won them all.
Win Vs. Grimbsy 2-0 14 shots on goal 52% possession
Win Vs. Queen Of South 3-0 8 shots on goal 46% possession
Win Vs. Distillery 5-0 24 Shots on goal 56% possession
Win Vs. Kettering 5-1 29 shots on goal 59% possession

Didn't play particulary very well against Queen Of South but apart from that very good tactic so far usually giving me the most possession and lots of shots on goal. I play wingers with their strongest foot on the opposite side if you understand ? Works well cutting inside and shooting for them. The only tweak i've made is changing the right centre mid to advanced playmaker (attack) with runs through centre with ball and shoots with power as his PPM's, meaning all my goals come from striker, both wingers and both centre mids. I'll update more when i've played more games.

Thanks for all your testing and feedback. Are you using V2 of the tactic or sticking to the first version?

I think version 3 could be on its way...

I will try and do it within the next couple of days...

Koflok - I will PM you

Mark - I will PM you when online

maxizou - Thanks for compliments, but I think I have just stumbled across a formula that works

I dont get why people say the striker aint scoring to much oO?
Iam finished with my third season now, and my striker ended up on 27games played 34goals scroed.
Not using the best striker ever aswell, Vagner Love, using him as poacher.

Positive Input
Nice tactic havnt tested it in depth but its nice to see some CCCs appearing for once whilst maintaining a good level of possession. Passing seems to be always 80-90% completion which is nice all in all thumbs up here

Perhaps try and tweak for v3?
Even tho its solid defensively which seems to be the only way to succed in FM2011 seeing 20+ shots on goal and only a small amount on target and 50% are always long shots is the only let down. Are there any tweaks that can be made to stop the waste of possession with all these long shots.

Is this because the Striker is dropping too deep so players are taking long shots from lack of support up front? The old no one to pass to so shoot maybe?

Keep up the good work

Help Needed!!!

Dear All who have enjoyed this tactic....

I am not going to lie to you, I have seemed to have hit a brick wall. I have scrapped version 2 and started again from my first version. I have had a series of games against the 'big boys', still with my Birmingham save, and the results have dipped massively. We were competing a lot better on the previous season finishing 5th and winning FA Cup. I am hoping by making smaller adaptions to the first version I will be able to improve it.

Here, these are the changes I've made to your tactic. They seem to work for me, hope they do for you as well.

Thanks mate...

I will give it a go and maybe add the couple of things that I have found that work. If it does happen, would you mind me submitting it with your name included?

Sure mate, although I don't think I've really done too much to your tactic :P

A massive thanks to Nocashboy and Koflok, as I think there will be a new version of this one coming out soon. I have made some tweaks and will be testing over the weekend. If anyone would really like it before hand, just PM me, but don't want to upload it to here until its a real winner.....

Keep Right On

Massuk - great comments. I think I have found a bit of a solution for creating more CCC's. Will let you know and would love you to try this version when I upload it....

won 2 and drawn 2 so far with newcastle using v2.1, can you recommend a complete forward for newcastle as lukaku and carroll are both struggling a bit so far. good tactic, defence seems solid and jonas and ben arfa are both peforming well as the inside forwards

Looking forward to version 3, had good results with version 1 but form dipped after applying versoin 2. Third time's the charm!

Not very good results with V2 as Arsenal so far.

2-2 away to Blackpool
2-1 home to Wigan (1-0 down at H/T)
1-1 away to Aston Villa
1-1 away to Bursaspor
1-1 home to West Brom (couldn't defend a 1-0 lead against a West Brom side down to 10 men)

Contrary to what others have been saying, my Arsenal squad is having a really hard time keeping hold of the ball. Wigan and Aston Villa dominated possession, and even Blackpool and Bursaspor were getting as many shots on goal as we were. Players seem to be very slow to get forward when my AMs are going down the flanks, they often have nobody to cross to.

For anyone who has tried this tactic I wouldn't bother with tactic v2.1

I am aiming to give you two newer options within 48 hours. One is version 4 which I have head success with which is a more clinical version of version 1, and the second is one that the master tactician Koflok has had a look at. They both seem to be successful and would love some testers to try out both versions....

Cheers
