Last update tonight and it still looks bleak, started match counter, then standard after 0-1 then attack in the 2nd half. I was outclassed. Hope this picks up

This has happened to me too. When the team don't seem to understand the tactic I had better results, and when they got it, it all changed. I just won Championship easily with Cardiff and Bothroyd was amazing. I think, as with all, when there a lot of new players, the tactic struggles. Stick with it and let me know.... Keep up the good work I appreciate it!!

Yeah I've signed 9 players and the boro squad is originally full of strachans new signings, plus I sold off a ****** off Barry Robson because he didn't like my 'disappointing' after being sent off. Team blending not at its best !

Well I looked on kofloks goals galore and took some hints on closing down wide players and match prep and with the last kick of the game won, nail biting stuff.

Last update tonight, not many matches played (part-time single Dad) this week, but should get more games in on the weekend. Team seems better defensively, Leeds and Millwall I should have won.:S

Havanaclue,

If you could keep at it and updating that would be great. Have you set your match preparation to team blend so they learn to work together quicker. A suggestion I saw on Koflok's page. I used to the this to my assistant, but have had more success doing it myself....

BR

Yes I did match prep to team blend, but as you can see my problem is that I get in too many new players (partly because I enjoy scouting and searching for bargains)

What a match, started standard, after 15mins with only 30% posession I switched to counter, went 2-0 down first half, half time talk - want to see more, attacking and scored the 3rd goal in 93rd minute.Typical Boro !

In most matches the opposition starts off with loads of possession and the Boro take over after ca 40 mins.

Start match standard, after 0-2, attacking, 10 men after 72 min. Still not working.
I changed defending set pieces to man mark (instead of go back), close down and tight marking wide players and AMC, but still the defence is ****..... Just like the Boro.

Results and table after 15 matches. Going to try Striker on support and inside forwards on attack.

Ok difficult to judge after 1 game especially since BC got a man sent off in the 3rd min but the stats are just too good not to post

One question though, team settings are Zonal marking, but I have changed settings on set pieces to man mark. Does this confuse the players ?

Ok after 3 games (maybe should try longer) it seems not to be working, I'll go back to your original settings on striker and inside forwards

Update after 20 games, I tried the forward roles in the Bristol City, Cardiff and Barnsley games only, then reverted to your original forward roles. Still difficult away from home.

Sorry mate. Haven't been on here since yesterday lunch. Looks like you are talking to yourself mate. By now your team should be settled and players have understanding. What you could do is have a few games with Koflok's version of my tactic. He had a play with it and it seemed to get great results with his Hercules team. I have put it to for download on first page of this thread. 4-1-3-2 BlueRoss v. Koflok

I thought I would continue with your tactic and try and find an away strategy. Some stats coming up soon. And I'm gettibg use to talking to myself, I usually get the answers I want.:D
