is the other tactic still working for you mate? i much prefer to use the 2 BBM in midfield.
ive just completed a season with Man Utd and didn't use volante once, I too prefer the 2 BBM Version. I will try it again in a big away game. Now going to post about the utd season
Just tried this with Man Utd and its not disappointed. I wanted to try it without transfers and it worked really well upto January but injuries forced my hand to buy in Jan. Bringing in Tonali, Bellingham & Werner spurred me to a treble(League, Carabao Cup & Europa League). Chelsea seemed to have sussed it out pretty quickly beating me twice in a short space both away games. Again its been a great season but just like with Liverpool it does leave you a bit exposed away at the big clubs so maybe a bit more tinkering for those specific games

So after a few weeks away from my Man Utd save I jumped back in to complete my 2nd season. Its was going very well and looking like the quadruple was coming my way until a couple of days before my 1st leg SF tie with Liverpool David De Gea got a training injury for 3-6 weeks!!!! I then realised how much my defence relied on him - leading up to that game id kept 11 clean sheets in 13 games conceding 4, after that I conceded 16 in 8 games with Henderson and Romero both being tried between the sticks!! resulting in me being knocked out of the champs league, losing out on the title & even though I brought DDG back in for the cup final I lost that 3-2. Ive immediately transfer listed both Romero & Henderson, and gone on the hunt for a couple of CB's and a replacement back up GK. Man City & Liverpool are both very strong teams so ive got to dethrone them again next season, also Arsenal are now looking a force with Ancelotti as manager. Hope you guys are still having fun with it.
