For the original Home tactic follow the (original instructions)
with the new 442 use the corner instructions (lower down the OP)

I would add to the tweaks (Counter and DLP to BBM) for the Away version is:
Wingbacks to - Automatic, PI - Sit Narrower and TI - Look for Overlap
(TI - Look for Overlap - only Change to Home Version)

Its works amazing (H)

Hey Clark...so these tweaks are for the away version and not the home version away tweak which JimmyX suggested a page back?

This has been excellent on my legends save. Will try the tweaks though s away I have had to pull things out of the fire a few times.

Awesome results mate! You're going to have to clarify what tactic/tweaks you used as it seems everyone is using different versions?! Original 442 or are you using the newer set?

I would just like to note as a silent party to your work, that anybody browsing in here looking for something new for their team, or to begin a new save with..give Clarks tactics a whirl as they match if not better anything else out there the guy is a genius on FM and will have your squad playing lovely football.

If you are a United fan, download the legends league from this site and use the same tactic. There is something great about playing 4-4-2 with Giggs, Best and Beckham out wide with Law and Charlton up top ably backed up by Edwards/Scholes and Keane at CM.
 
Final result of my season in the championship with Coventry. Tailed off towards the end of the season due to injuries but still managed to (only just) claim the title. Next stop the Premier League!

So this is what I'm doing at the moment, but again I'm still busy with work atm so will need someone to really test it.

For home games: Original home
For away games: Original Home + Strategy changed to Counter + DLP (S) changed to BBM (S) + WB's changed to (AUTO) + Add "Sit Narrower" PI to WB's + Add "Look for overlap" to TI
For away games games where the opponent is playing an AMC (especially narrow formations eg. Man Utd): V3 HOME (4123/433)

For now this set up seems to be working very well for me. Ideally, I'd like to use two strikers all the time, but tbh away from home in real life against a bigger team playing a talented AMC, you would probably play a DM yourself to close the space.
When I have time though I will try and tweak that V3 HOME tactic so that it works with a DM and two strikers- the DM seems to be key away from home in general. Ideally, id then use that version for all away games regardless of if they play an AMC or not as I much prefer using just two tactics!

I hope all this makes sense, let me know if you're all a bit confused :/ If it's not clear what I'm on about in the last part then just use the 3 tactics as I've suggested at the top for now. Cheers again to Clark for a great set of tactics!
 
Scratch that above! Had some time to test during my break yesterday and sadly, it seemed my 4-1 away win against United was a fluke as I continued to struggle away against smaller teams. I might win by a couple of corner goals but open play always feels a bit shakey away.

If anyone has any suggestions for an away version please do let me know :)
