Wenger would be the perfect manager for Madrid.
Wenger's style of football + unlimited money = New Barcelona

would they give him the time though? thats their problems, real madrid academy is actually very good, they reason not many of them make the first team is becuse the you managers cant risk breaking them in since is al about results, so quite a few go on to play in other spainish teams, there is no continuity at real madrid

That's why Roberto Soldado is beast at Getafe now.

Hiddink would be great for the job. Its just a shame hes managing Turkey, he was linked with us aswell

Well, there would be nothing to stop him managing both, its been done before.

The story of Madrid goes likes. They ALWAYS feel they have to win everything, and on top of that they HAVE to play beautiful football. Capello had 2 seasons in RM, and got them both times the league title. Still they sacked him, because it was no beautiful football, effective yes.

As for the coach its hard to say. He has no decision in buying players. He may have his opinion. Lets say, he needs a striker, and they will get him the best striker available in the world, regardless if it fits his tactic. Thats what Florentino Perez, Jorge Valdano and Miguel Pardeza do. They are responsible for buying the players. This season when they bought so many players, Pellegrini had to inevitabily to discard some of the existing players, and RM had a difficult task to sell all the players, and sold them pretty badly (Sneijder, Robben, Javi Garcia, Negredo, etc.

What will they get? A coach with good reputation, that they can manipulate one way or the other.
What should they get? A coach with high character, outspoken, that speaks his mind, and that has the personality to manage a squad filled with world class players and their ego´s.

P.S. I think this was Guti´s and Raul last season there. Pellegrini had tremendous guts to bench them through the whole season.

Nice to see everyone is on the same page here. Real Madrid is the cancer of world football.

As for who should take over, it has to be Mourinho. I hope not, though, they might win a thing or two with him at the helm.

I don't mind madrid as a club, quite like them actually, but really where the **** do
you think you'll get with a new manager every year.

roy hodgson or david moyes are good solid managers so madrid won`t go for them probley rafa.

they get what they deserve, have disliked them since their treatment of del bosque, the man wins two Champions league titles , two la liga titles , a spanish super cup , a uefa super cup, and the intercontinental cup, and they have the gall to sack him

Thye've been discussing this on Revista every week and it looks certain Jose is Bernabound.

personaly i dont think rafa is good enough for real madrid and they know that. jose is in a different league to rafa and even any of the other candidates.

rafa is good enough for real madrid, IF he doesnt let himself get distracted by off the field stuff like at liverpool.

The manager isn't the one making the signings at Madrid....

At madrid no manager gets a say when it comes to transfers. Not even Pep. Thats why Madrid sold Robben when Pelligrini wanted him. So the weakest point of Rafa can be ignored. He is a good manager actually. He won 2 la liga's with Valencia and started his Career at Madrid. Having said that Madrid wont take him as they are some sort of circus.
