Thye've been discussing this on Revista every week and it looks certain Jose is Bernabound.

Loving the play on words. Perhaps Jose might not be the best candidate as he may go against the presidency.. and we all know in Spain what happens then..

Spanish newspaper Marca have listed their five candidates to take over Real Madrid in the summer.

Current coach Manuel Pellegrini, who has spent a huge amount of money, has seen Real knocked out of the Champions League, quite possibly out of the title race in Spain, after the 2-0 home defeat to Barcelona on Saturday.

The five names linked are England boss Fabio Capello, Inter's Jose Mourinho, Liverpool's Rafa benitez, former Chelsea head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, and current Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.

What are your thoughts???
You missed off Brian Laws and Tony Adams. oO)

This is jumping the gun a bit? media assuming Real, based on reputation, are going to sack Pellegrini. To inherit a completely new squad is a great task for any new manager, especially when they are not your signings.

They finished on what? 96 points? To do that and not win the league is incredibely unlucky. Just shows how well Barca have done.

Hopefully Perez will give the guy time, Real have been good to watch this year.

The problem with the selection of managers StuW has linked us with is that they lack the 'style' Real Madrid fans crave, They could not care less about an amazingly organised unit that defends and works for each other, winning games 2-0 1-0 every week, They would rather win 6-3 5-1 5-4 and I can't picture any of those 5 gaffers either leaving there current jobs or playing that brand of football.

They should give Pellegrini more time. He's done well with a difficult job, difficult because he obviously has no say in which players are bought and sold.

How can they have any lasting success when they are changing managers every season. I dont care how good their players are,if there is no continuity with the manager they will always be 2nd best in Spain and Europe.

Pellegrini deserves another season. They got 96 points. Not many teams come second with that amount of points. He hasn't done that badly and to try and top a side with the likes of Messi, Xavi, Ibrahimovic and Puyol is a struggle.

He hasn't failed and I reckon they could challenge and even win it next year. :)

At madrid no manager gets a say when it comes to transfers. Not even Pep. Thats why Madrid sold Robben when Pelligrini wanted him. So the weakest point of Rafa can be ignored. He is a good manager actually. He won 2 la liga's with Valencia and started his Career at Madrid. Having said that Madrid wont take him as they are some sort of circus.
An intresting thought.Still I think they sold Arjen Robben not because he was bad or something they thought with ronaldo nothing could stop them. And they were wrong I TELL YA :D .
