After a very successful first season in League 2 obtaining promotion in the process, Bradford have had to rebuild their squad so that it is capable of competing at the higher level of League One. The vast majority of the squad has had a complete change over since last season. With vastly improved finances for the club, i was given a £925k transfer budget which i decided to change mostly to wages, as i was very impressed with the quality that was on the free list in pre season.
Finances

With the club getting in fantastic financial shape for the first time in a vast number of years through hardly any spending on wages or transfers throughout of last season, combined with many money spinning friendlies have rectified the situation for the club. Another plus financial point is the way over average sized Valley Parade stadium that is progressively getting more full as the games go by.
Transfers

The pick of the transfers is definitely the raiding of Peterborough United who were relegated to the same league as Bradford this season. Joe Lewis for £300k and Aaron McLean for £95k are selling the replica shirts off the shelf. Cash strapped Posh decided to transfer list there most valuable players in order to balance the books. The other outstanding signings that have stirred massive interest before the start of the new season are the likes of David Elm formally at Fulham, Liam Bridcutt formally Chelsea and Febian Brandy formally of Man Utd.

The predicted first XI from pre season performance and player ratings according to my coaching staff. The successful formation and tactics will be applied in the same accordance to last season.
Pre Season & Start of Season

A very successful pre season, with the Bantams winning every pre season friendly only conceding against the strongest opposition who they played on their last friendly game. All the friendlies were arranged abroad and gained the club at least £100k for each friendly played.
A baptism of fire has been arranged for newly promoted Bradford, who are set to play local rivals Barnsley and Derby County who were both recently relegated from the Coca Cola Championship.
