A fantastic start to what i thought would be a difficult start, humiliating my local rivals Barnsley smashing 5 goals past the recently relegated side, to then beat a strong Derby County side in the League cup with another 5 goals. To then throughout the month scoring 4 on another 2 occasion and 3 on 2 occasion. This league was seeming easy!

Another very strong month for the Bantam's bagging a lot of goals and only conceding 3 goals, however i saw my resilient Bradford side, reside to their first loss of the season against promotion chasing Millwall at The New Den, was a case of not put the ball in the back of the net, which we had to take on the chin and move on.
October View attachment 64154
Another strong month for the team picking up wins home and away keeping the belief to go all the way in the JPT trophy. Highlighted result, 3-1 away at Bristol Rovers, showing no fear and attacking at will was a fantastic sight to watch.
November View attachment 64155
A very much back on track to the start of the season month, with the goals flowing again, scoring at will game in game out. Continuing the FA cup run with wins against Barrow and AFC Wimbledon to reach the 3rd round. Most memorable win 1-0 away at recently relegated Peterborough United, with Aaron McLean scoring the sucker punch 5 minutes from time against his former club.
December View attachment 64156
Another exceptional month, with many supporters of the Bantam's thinking there could be another promotion on the cards under the management of Matthew Fage. Goals flowing more than ever approaching the extremely busy Christmas period. The highlight was trouncing Barnsley for the second time in the season 4-0 away at Oakwell, sending the massive travelling army of Bantam's fans home with a raised smile.
January View attachment 64157
A disappointing performance in the FA cup having a bite of a reality sandwich being very truly beaten by a strong Bristol City side. Another strong month with wins across the board, the fans, the board the players are starting to believe that successive promotional seasons could be on their way! Most significant result 2-0 away at Carrow Road.
Up to this point Bradford's away form has been the cutting edge of their season, with a consistent home form but devastating away form has made a fantastic combination for a promotion chase.
League Table View attachment 64148
Although the look of the table currently shows a team dominating the league, funnily enough it hasn't been like that until the Christmas period. It was very much level between my selves and Millwall until December came about. Extremely pleased with our position, it would take a massive drop in form, which im determined doesn't happen to let it slip now.
Transfers View attachment 64150
Extremely pleased with the acquisitions that i have been able to make, very young prosperous talents that will only add to the depth of the squad. Having only spent the amount i have sold i still have a substantial transfer budget sitting in the bank.
The Squad View attachment 64147
Extremely happy with the performance of the squad, everyone of them has performed well together, those that haven't done well up until now have been let go in January.
Joe Lewis, Damien Stewart, Anton Jongsma, Aaron McLean and Febian Brandy have all been immense for me being solid throughout!
Star Player.. So Far! View attachment 64149
Goal basically per game, can't argue with that! Possess amazing pace, any ball knocked over the top is always his. Aaron McLean basically owns this division! Febian Brandy also has the same ratio 17 goals in 17 games. A partnership to reckoned with!
Finances View attachment 64151
A very sound financial structure has been formed at the club, which looked impossible at the start of my first season in charge, having to decide with 10k, it looked a hard task. With intelligent spending on players, and limiting the outgoings of the clubs finances a big step has been made at placing this team in the top division in the country. A hopeful promotion this season will advance us even further.
Many of you that follow this story will be confused how there has been an update. Today i have been at Uni for a few hours, with time to kill due to lack of results to do any further of my mass of assignments. So i cracked out a few months . I now have 2 MAHUSSIVE assignment in due a week tomorrow. I will need a lot of luck! So please wish it me in bundles! Hope your enjoying the read, i do have to admit im not very pleased with this update, it was a bit rushed, just wanted to get it in, so people stay interested in the story. Up the Bantam's!
Manager Matthew Fage's second term at the helm of Yorkshire club Bradford City was dubbed an epic season by club favourite Paul Jewell. Jewell believed that any future success that Bradford could achieve would only occur under the reigns of this young starlet of management. View attachment 67094
Fage took Bradford to their second consecutive Promotion and Championship, leaving the Bantam's fans in hysteria, finding themselves once again at the same level as their fierce rivals Leeds United. Massive squad changes in both seasons for Bradford although keeping the key members of the team has payed off for manager Fage. The acquisitions of Joe Lewis, Aaron McLean and Tom Kennedy have been inspirations behind this seasons triumph. A prolonged run of form prior to the Christmas period was the turning point for Bradford's success, where they pulled away from the rest of the pack, putting clear daylight between themselves and their closest rivals. It is strongly suggested that Fage will be provided with vast sums compared to previous seasons in an attempt to maintain their status within the Coca Cola Championship.
Johnstones Paint Trophy Final...
Coinciding with the fantastic ventures Fage's Bantam's have achieved in the league in his two seasons as gaffer, a historic Wembley appearance in the JPT Trophy against Southampton had the Bradford fans turning out in the masses selling out their allocation in one week. Southampton being the favourites even with Bradford flying high at the top of Coca Cola League One, Fage's Bradford side showed no fear from the outset with flowing attacking football providing an end to end game, with a final to remember. Aaron Davies struck early for Bradford it to be cancelled out early in the second half. With one minute of time remaining what seemed to be disaster struck as a penalty was awarded in The Saints favour, which was despatched confidently by Lee Barnard. The game was all but over when a Bradford made their 3 minutes of constant pressure tell when Damien Stewart in his second spell at the club nodding the ball home from 5 yards sending the game into extra time and the Bantam's faithful into raptures. Extra time, by both teams was played out cautiously, a lack of ambition and forward play had the fans nervy and surprisingly quiet for a final in the capital. A dart forward from lively substitute Febian Brandy forced Seb Hines to bring him down on the edge of the penalty area. From lack of any flair in the game for the entire of the extra time played not much expectation ranged around the stadium. Tom Kennedy Bradford's regular left back and penalty taker stepped up to take the direct free kick with one minute left of extra time and belted it into the top right hand corner, sending the forty thousand Bradford fans into raptures once more sealing the victory with no time left for Southampton to reply!
Matthew Fage prior to the final whistle seemed totally overwhelmed with the emotion from the fans towards him, with his second consecutive promotion as champions of both leagues followed by cup success Fage has won every realistic competition that has been presented to him. This achievement gained through difficult financial situations at Valley Parade and external distractions such as the completion of his University degree, makes his reign so far at the Bradford realm that much more satisfying.
When met at pitch side and asked about his feelings towards his success Fage remarked; "This moment right now is the biggest and best moment of my life, to think i took over this club with the chairman remarking to me that we are close to the edge of closure, it makes it even more remarkable to see how far we have come. I dedicate this cup success to every single Bradford fan out there not only those tens of thousands here today, but anyone who proclaims themselves a Bantam. Hopefully with recently improved structure and belief of the club, we can starve off relegation next season and push on again for the promise land in seasons to come"
Fage had been keeping a blog for fans to keep track of the managers thoughts and feelings with a clear similar structure devised each time. However the Bradford Boss has decided to provide a surprise for blog subscribers for the following seasons additions, changing the structure and style of the broadcast, which has stirred massive expectation amongst the streets of Bradford.
