Right after reading through the past winners of major cups in England I have noticed not many teams from down south (EXCLUDING LONDON) have been successful in the past. So what I intend to do in this career is to try and win as many trophies as I can strictly from teams based in the South of England. And i will starting from Level 10 in the Football League System and working my way up only by promotion, now that means I can not accept job offers from clubs higher than me, but I can only accept an offer if the team is in the same level as me.

This is a tough ask!! i will be interested to see how it unravels so ill be following mate! Best of luck to you

MATTHEW KING SPEAKS ABOUT HIS FIRST JOB IN MANAGEMENT

You sit here as the new manager of Falmouth Town, is this your dream job:
No it is not my dream job, but I am delighted to be given this great opportunity to take this club to the next level

This is your first job in management, what approach will you be taking to ensure Falmouth Town can progress to the next level:
I will try to get Falmouth playing in a positive manner combining hard work and an attacking style to provide our fans with the performances they deserve to be watching on a regular basis

To what extent will you be involved with the day to day running of the club:
I will getting involved with all aspects of the club, but due to my lack of experience, my backroom staff will be assisting me on various parts of the job

Real Academia 2 - 0 Falmouth Town
Tampa Bay 4 - 0 Falmouth Town

PRE SEASON SUMMARY
In terms of results it was a poor pre season, but due to these matches being played away from home the club was able to pick up some much needed cash which will go towards the stadium maintenance for the season ahead.

hard luck in preseason. are there no lower teams you could play to get confidence up?

no, because unlike the already established leagues in England I did not have friendlies already set up, and by the time realised no friendlies were arranged there was only 2 weeks till start of season so I had to quickly arrange some, and I just picked the most lucrative opponents

AUGUST

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Falmouth Town 0 - 1 Lauceston
Bad start as Falmouth were punished for some rather poor finishing with not a single shot on target.

Plymouth Parkway 0 - 3 Falmouth Town
Falmouth made an excellent reply to the poor start, with some devastating counter-attacking football with new signing Phil Parsons running the show with some precise passing and a goal to wrap up a breathtaking performance.

F.A Cup Extra Preliminary Round

Falmouth Town 1 - 0 Blackfield & Langley
Falmouth progressed into the next round with a professional looking display in which was a poor match. Phil Parsons was again the difference for Falmouth as he lashed in the winning goal after 21 minutes of play, If Falmouth are to progress further in the competition the finishing must improve.

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Falmouth Town 1 - 0 Royal Marines
A fortunate victory for Falmouth, as the Royal Marines dominated for most of the game but were punished for some poor finishing when centre forward Ian Cooper slotted home the winner just before half time.

F.A Cup Preliminary Round

Falmouth Town 3 - 0 Causeway United
In which was one of the shocks of the round Falmouth produced a scintillating display to convincingly beat a team in a division above themselves. A combination of quick and direct passing ensured they gave the fans the kind of performance that manager Matthew King had promised in pre-season.

MONTHLY REVIEW

In a month which began poorly for Falmouth, they quickly turned things round and started producing the results that may see Falmouth pushing for promotion come the end of the season. Falmouth Town also bolstered there squad with six signings which Mr King hoped would make his side more competitive throughout the season.

Nice layout, and good luck. Premier league, here we come ! :)

SEPTEMBER

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Liskeard Athletic 0 - 0 Falmouth Town
A shocker of a match, with not many shots and with sloppy passing from both sides. The only good point was the man of the match display from Falmouth's Wes Simpson as he made some crucial challenges and was unbeatable in the air.

F.A Vase 1st Qualifying Round

Falmouth Town 2 - 0 Bridport Town
A solid display from Falmouth saw them progress to the next round with relative ease. Some simple passing and clinical finishing was enough to put Bridport to the sword.

F.A Cup 1st Qualifying Round

Romsey Town 0 - 1 Falmouth Town
A spirited performance from Falmouth saw them overcome the odds and eliminate another opponent from a higher division to reach the next round. In what was a tight affair the match was decided in the 92nd minute when substitute Leon Perks slotted home the winner, which left the fans and players of Romsey heartbroken.

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Cullompton Rangers 0 - 2 Falmouth Town
A poor performance from Cullompton ensured Falmouth kept winning as they capitalised on some poor defending to keep moving up in the table.

F.A Vase 2nd Qualifying Round

Falmouth Town 3 - 0 Bookham
A brilliant performance from Falmouth sent them powering into the next round with some delightful passing and clinical finishing the player of Bookham did not know what hit them.

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Falmouth Town 0 - 0 St Austell
In front of a crowd of 226 Falmouth and St Austell played out 90 minutes of dull football with both teams finshing poorly. Falmouth will be greatly disappointed with this result as they were heavily favoured for this match.

F.A Cup 2nd Qualifying Round

Falmouth Town 1 - 2 Dawlish Town
The F.A Cup dreams of Falmouth came to an abrupt end as a poor performance gave Dawlish Town an easy route to the next round.

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Falmouth Town 2 - 0 St Blazey
Falmouth returned to winning ways with a solid display against St Blazey, this win kept Falmouth in pursuit of the league leaders.

MONTHLY REVIEW

A good month in general with some solid performances, the only disappointment coming in the FA Cup as Falmouth completely underperformed by Dawlish where they should have done better. Also a bonus in the month was not conceding in the league.

Ahh nice, I'll follow. I'm currently visiting family in Hereford, so I'll be doing a Hereford story soon! Good luck, keep it up!

James, you will see a table with the next update which will be coming soon

MONTHLY REVIEW
A pretty good month, with some decent performances but I still feel that this team is not hitting the potential they should be. The obvious bad point of the month was the 4 - 0 thrashing at the hands of Ivybridge which was quite frankly the worst performance I have seen from them this season and I sincerely hope i never see that kind of performance again. But second in table with Falmouth means I am in contention for promotion which would be a case of 1 down 9 to go in terms of the challenge.

HELP
If anyone reading this story knows of any decent tactics for Lower League Clubs, as despite being second I still feel the tactics are not right, as most of my wins come because the opposition is as **** at shooting as my team is.

Also does anybody know how to insert the screenshots but not by attachments because i feel it looks a bit ****.

NOVEMBER

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Falmouth Town 1 - 0 Bovey Tracey
Tavistock 2 - 2 Falmouth Town

F.A Vase 2nd Round

New Milton Town 2 - 0 Falmouth Town

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Torpoint Athletic 0 - 1 Falmouth Town
Falmouth Town 0 - 1 Saltash United

MONTHLY REVIEW
My worst month so far with some ****** frustrating matches. The main frustration was being knocked out of the only cup I had a serious chance of winning due to yet another disgraceful performance and the second and probably most iritating has been the number of times concede late goals. Despite the poor month I remain in second postiton and also usually when I go on slightly dodgy form like that I get bored and start again but im proud of the fact I am still going.

DECEMBER

Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier Division

Falmouth Town 1 - 1 Elburton Villa
Penzance 1 - 2 Falmouth Town
Launceston 0 - 0 Falmouth Town
Falmouth Town 2 - 0 Plymouth Parkway

MONTHLY REVIEW
A satisfactory month with some solid performances, consistency is still a problem but watching the matches I could see they are a lot better than they were at the beginning.

Hi, looking good so far,
for ure tactic, look at the preset 4-1-3-2, which is a narrow formation, but set the RB and LBto wingbacks, and strikers as poacher and deep lying (both attacking) on rotation. Works a treat in the LL's.

Just a suggestion, and good luck!!! :)
