Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new chapter in Scottish football after the leagues were completely reconstructed in the summer, resulting in an SPL1 containing 16 teams and an SPL2, also playing host to 16 teams. And prior to the opening day of the season, the BBC Sport messageboards were host to the opinions of Scottish football fans across the country.​

This season I'll settle for top half and a cup final, with the new boss coming in and a new league format it's difficult to see where the club is at at this moment in time.

Board expectations :

• SPL1 - Respectable league position (I would assume that just means top half)
• League Cup - Semi Finals
• Scottish Cup - Semi Finals

And, yes, just the 2 players as I've got very little wages to work with but hopefully there'll be more signings in January.

I gave some of the young lads a run out today and I'm
delighted with their performance and the result,
we've now got just over a month to prepare for the 6th round tie
at home to Falkirk, by then I hope to have
brought in a couple of new faces.​

Overall I'm pleased with how things are going,
we're 7th in the league (only 3 points off 3rd)
and running well in both domestic cup competitions.
If the 1st is anything to go by, I look forward to the 2nd half
of what I hope will be a very successful season.​
