After playing for a season with Newcastle Utd and getting them into Euro cup the club was taken over during the next season. Got them into Euro cup again and also won FA cup. Wage budget for 2nd season was £1,800,000 but i wasn't spending anywhere near that figure, think it was something like £1,103,000.

Anyway, the next (3rd) season starts and suddenly my wage budget was been massively reduced to £650,000 and so I was overspending by quite a lot. Sold some players to try and reduce the wage bill down but didnt have much of an impact.

Just after the sponsorship fees come in (think that was over £1billion) the club called in the recievers because I couldn't afford to pay players wages, even though I had a billion £ in the bank. So the administrators come in and start selling all my players to try and cope with the wage bill. First month goes by and the club makes £17 million profit from ticket sales and and mainly player sales. Thats enough for over a year of players wages, but the club doesn't recover and more players are sold. It is now getting ridiculous, I am basically players u18 and reserve team as all my first team have gone apart from a few. Surprisingly Andy Caroll stayed.

Boardroom confidence in me is still high, but I think that is because of the results I am was achieving. (won Community Shield and first 5 league games) I expected to be sacked soon, players that I have left are unhappy because of the league position.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

Holy ****! You nearly gave me a heart attack. Never experienced it myself. What's the clubs loan debt? How much were you spending on players. It might just be the owner though.

Yeah a 'in my save game' in the title would of been nice... think first

If its in the 'football manager' section. Do you think its going to be about fm?

I dont look at the section, half the people on here can't select the right one anyway.

I don't think you should blame others for being stupid... If you don't bother reading, I don't think a forum is the right place for you.

Now on topic:
Resign as Newcastle manager and find another club that is the easiest way to get out that. You have to make sure you control your economy better next time. I don't know how, but I always seem to have a good economy in my games.

With sponsorship fees of over £1 Billion, i would think administration would be pretty much impossible

LOL!

Anyway, you must keep an eye on your finances mate. Did you use monthly installments when you bought players?

You seem to be enjoying this. I didnt blame anyone or call anyone stupid, and I dont read categories because as I said, most people don't put them in the right place. Your title was vague and I wasn't the only one who misread it, get off your high horse and simmer the **** down.

peace

Your first post made the author of this thread seem like an idiot. I didn't liked it, so I defended him. Now lets stop this discussion, before I have to call in Stephen Toulmin to point out that my argumentations was the best.

For those who can't see what forum it is in I have edited the title so you don't get too confused.

According to the information screen the club is still worth £472m with debts of £183m.

Wages are still over spending by £300,000 but with a worth of £472m that wouldn't bring the recievers in.

Edit: I never use monthly installments with big clubs, only small ones where it is more beneficial

How the **** did you bankrupt a club despite getting sponsor ship fees of 1 billion, unless of course this is a bug.

well i did go thought something like this, were my transfer and wage budget went ****, but not that radical were players get axed by admins.

how much is ur club worth. ?

unlucky mate, how much are your staff member geting? Know some staff members have crazy salaries.

I created 2 save games and ran through both of them for a few months to see what would happen.

1. Stayed at the club, administrators left after 2 months and i managed to get some decent players in on loan, but a month later they were back.
2. Resigned and took a job at Stoke, the club went in and out of administration a lot, looks like they are going to get relegated.

The staff members aren't being paid that much, at the save point the wage budget is £754k but wages are totalling just over £1m.

I think its just a bug in the game and think i will start again.
