Yer i agree but that press conference at the World Cup was ment to be the Captains job so why didn't Gerrard come out?? Terry feels he has been treated unfairly and as a person if you feel you are being treated unfairly how does it make you feel towards the person that is making you feel like that??

No excuse to fake an injury to get out of a friendly. If this were an important match, he'd have played. He can't pick and choose.

And so he should.

No offence to Paulo Ferreira, but isn't he essentially your third choice right back (behind Bosingwa and Ivanovic)? So when he's forced to play in the middle, something's not right. Two injuries shouldn't bring the champions to their knees.

Nah i agree and i only found out when i got into the ground that JT had pulled out and Ferrira was at centre back. We have Bruma who has even earned a Dutch cap this season but he has recently come back from a Hernia op so it would have been risky to throw him into the first team straight away.

I think starting 11 and possibly to even 12-13 we have the best squad in the Premier League but beyond that all we have in youngsters. But if we still had Ballack, Belletti, Cole etc we wouldnt have seen McEachran and i know majority of the Chelsea fans love this lad already.

Once again Chelsea show why they win the league and Arsenal don't, we have real men who play with injuries to win us the title, whereas they can't stop complaining about injuries. :')

The injury must have been somewhat bad as he missed the Sunderland game and looks like he could miss our next 2 games. And thats the point if Terry has a choice to be fit for a man who stood by him or a man who he feels treated him unfairly then its a no brainer.

To be fair i would rather JT miss a few games and play while he is fit but yes it does show what Chelsea means to him. On the Arsenal argument i have noticed Wenger somtimes rushes his big players back and then moans when they get injured again.

from reading his interview on the daily mail website, it seemed that terry was saying he was going to be out for a few months. Maybe this was before he got the injury identified?

it wasnt the time or the place thats why. He opened his mouth when he should have kept it shut, he must deal with the consequences. still think the young players should get a runout

To be fair Terry only said what everyone was thinking and wanted to hear and how did we get on in that next game??? Everyone was backing him until Capello come out and said he was wrong for doing this and the media was always going to jump on the Capello bandwagon.

Yer it was at the start of the week mate, he has been in Italy to see a specialist since then.

Ashley Cole would rather win the Champs League with Chelsea than the World Cup with England because the fans at Chelsea love him while with England he isn't appreciated. Same situation tbh.

And he's a ***** for it. I like him as a defender, he's always done well for England, and I didn't change my views after his off the field antics. But after he said this, I lost all respect for him. The world cup is the biggest prize in world football, and anyone who thinks differently shouldn't be playing international football.

And Ride the Walrus - you are in no position to judge JT (who I believe has a genuine injury) given what Gerrard has done in the past. I remember some years back that gerrard missed a few england games but miraculously recovered in time for the liverpool fixture the weekend after.

Oh, and for the record while I'm ranting, I'm not a fan of Assou Ekotto after he claimed that football was just a job. The lack of passion in modern day football is sickening

To be fair Ashley Cole isen't the only player or manager or media source to state that the Champions Leauge is bigger than the World Cup. I have heard it alot recently especially after this years goalless tournement.

But as a England fan first i agree the World Cup should be the pinical of anyones carear.

If you want to win the biggest prize in football why don't you become the best left-back in the world? And have your boyhood club offer the best left-back in the world 30k a week? Maybe you should start praising him for his incredible stamina and effort and stop booing him for choosing the fans that really care about him.

But it's not a bigger prize, a better, more entertaining competition YES but youngsters dream of winning the World Cup, not the CL

I take your opinion that you don't think we will win the league its all about debate and your opinion is as valued as mine.

No it isn't, his is far more important.

No one cares about your opinion ;)

I don't, EVER boo england players, no matter who they are or what they have done. I loved the guy until he came out and said he'd rather win the champions league

Im agreeing with you lol, im just saying he isen't the only one that believes this. Also he gets unfairly treated by the England supporters for the most stupid reason ever i may add and he dosen't deserve this abuse. We arguably have the best left back in the world playing for our country and because he has cheated on someone who the public like/fancy he gets bad treatment on the field.

Same here but it is a Chelsea hate thing, Lampard gets booed by England supporters and he has never cheated on anyone??

I agrre with you for once, although I wouldn't say it's really a chelsea hate thing. Lampard just hasn't taken his club form into international football, but I'd suggest that is down to how he is managed and played. I think Lamps does a decent job for england, and he always shows passion.

Anyway, we've gone a little off topic. The injury news is good for chelsea. As long as two of Terry, Alex and Ivanovic are fit, chelsea have a pretty formidable defence. Bosingwa's steady introduction should see them maintain the position of favourites in my opinion

I have just watched a interview with Ancelotti on ChelseaTV and he has said we will all see a different Drogba tomorrow from what we have recently seen. He has had a full week training at Chelsea and has looked more sharp than ever, fingers crossed.

looks pretty good this news, hopefully Ferreira can hold at CB tomorrow :)

Whatever happens, I don't think Chelsea will win the title now. As good as your team is, I cannot see it. Injuries have hindered your progress and despite this 'good' news, Alex will probably make his injury worse and Terry spends 75% of his time injured.

Not for me this year.

Alex cannot make it worse, and even you know yourself Terry isn't injured that much.
