Hey mate, great story love it. How are Gillingham doing?

Not too well buddy, they got relegated in the first year of my save but after 5 years or so are finally back in L2!

Messi has once again claimed the Ballon d'Or meaning he has won the award for an 8th time, a crazy statistic which I'm sure no player will ever replicate. Astonishing.

Elsewhere Kevin De Bruyne and Paul Pogba got in the World XI, very pleasing for us as these two players have been fantastic this year but it's a shame not to see either of them finish in the top 3 for the Ballon d'Or.

Elsewhere Paul Pogba won French Player of the Year and Keylor Navas won North American Goalkeeper of the Year. A pleasing year for our players!

My first act in the January transfer window was to sell Veteran striker Carlos Tevez, the move to Napoli wasn't exactly my ideal scenario but Tevez is 35 now and eating up £205,000 per week as a back-up striker, this is why I chose to move him on.

As you can see he's been fantastic for Juventus since his move from Manchester City back in 2013/14 but it's time for change here at Juventus, de Jager and Lacazette will carry us forward for now!

An absolutely bonkers game at the Juventus Stadium saw us beat our Turin rivals Torino 1-0, a game which resulted in 4 red cards! I'm disappointed that we had three of those with Morillo, Vidal and Bonucci being dismissed for us but I'm delighted we managed to pull out a win, Serbian striker Luka Jovic bagging the only goal.

I'm sure the fans had a lot to say about the red cards that were dished out, but we'll be 3 players down for our game against Sassuolo next week.

We today confirmed the signing of German Goalkeeper Bernd Leno for £6.5m from Borussia Dortmund, since my arrival here I haven't really thought much of Keylor Navas and decided it would be best to invest in a younger, more prominent goalkeeper and with Dortmund's #1 being Jeronimo Rulli, I was able to snap Leno up on the cheap.

At first I worried, the scouts originally said he was a 3* keeper but on arrival it quickly dropped to 2 1/2* which was a bit disappointing, but once I went onto the squad screen it was at 3 1/2* so I'm not too sure about that one...But his value has gone up so I'm assuming it was a good deal!

I'll probably be looking to move Navas on now and have already accepted a £7.25m bid from French side AS Monaco.

You can see here that Leno has some very good stats for a Goalkeeper, he's good at coming off his line, good reflexes, fantastic handling and low eccentricity. I'm excited about this signing as we got him for such a bargain price and he looks like twice the Goalkeeper that Keylor Navas is.

The comparison shows here that Leno is the better goalkeeper overall, he only ranks behind Navas in a couple of attributes, some of which aren't even that important for a goalkeeper.

With the arrival of Bernd Leno we've waved goodbye to Keylor Navas..He's been a good keeper for us this year but I just don't feel he's up to the grade of a Juventus goalkeeper. The fans seem a bit disappointed but I'm sure Leno will help them move on fairly quickly, best of luck to Navas!

Still a decent goalkeeper!

Well...We paid the price for our suspensions in the Turin Derby, a second string defence as well as changes up front and on the left meant we played a much rotated side which wasn't helped at all by the suspensions or injuries picked up last week.

Leno had a good debut, he made big saves left, right and center to keep us in the game but ultimately he was powerless against two good Sassuolo goals, we only managed to pull one back in injury time.

Luckily for us Sampdoria drew against Napoli in the other Saturday night match meaning we keep our spot at the top of the table but dropping points against teams below us is going to put us in great danger sooner or later.

Doing well at Juve, 1st trophy on the cards you reckon?

Maybe! But we've started slipping up a bit lately so I don't think I'd be overly surprised if we finished 2nd! I might change the way I post updates, rather than do each match individually I might just play a month or two and then re-cap it. Otherwise it's such slow progression! Newcastle have gone downhill without me. ;)

Change in structure

The updates are now going to be either monthly or bi-monthly..Posting an in-depth analysis every time I play a match means that my progression into the save is very slow. While I wouldn't mind this at certain times I feel that Italy and Juventus in general don't seem to be creating a whole host of interest, so I'll be shortening the updates to make it more bearable.

January 2020

Returning to the save I'm now going to re-cap January following on from the loss to Sassuolo.

cfdffa02d60ea7375c197c6d8b3a757a.png

For the remainder of January we played three league matches, bagging wins against Reggina, Udinese and Palermo. To my delight we also kept three successive clean sheets which is a great feat following on from our loss to Sassuolo.

6cb5b69136922370e9c6d17459742b68.png

We also played Copa Italia matches against Parma and Fiorentina, once again picking up the wins. The match against Fiorentina was more impressive as we came from behind to win the game, elsewhere Roma lost to Novara in the other Quarter-Final which means we'll be playing Novara in the Semi-Final.

In full here's a look at our results from January, a decent run in apart from the loss to Sassuolo but we'll look to rebuild now.

But where does this leave us in the table?

Much to my delight we've rebuilt our 3 point gap at the top, it's not much but it's a bit of a cushion.

Transfer wise only two more sales were made, Belgian winger Theo Bongonda who I signed upon arrival left for £3m to Atalanta, having not developed enough to break into the first team I chose to take the offer and made a quick £3m profit.

Elsewhere I made a tough decision, I sold Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio to Dinamo Moscow for £2m, he's 35 years old now and unable to get a game ahead of some of our bigger name players. Hopefully one day he'll return as a coach. He's been at the club since 2003 after all!

Next month we play some big fixtures, not only the Champions League tie against Atletico but also the cup tie against Novara and tough league matches against Lazio, Genoa and Milan.

Thinking of ending the thread here, I've pretty much lost enthusiasm to play on this save which makes posting updates pretty much impossible.

I would like to see you carry on mate but I do understand that feeling, I get that at times on here

Why dont you try to finish the season? Then atleast end it in style with a trophy or two?

February 2020

Following on from January we now headed into February where we would be playing tough matches, matches that could shape the way our season is going to go as we head towards the end.

A lot of goals scored this month, but arguably a lot of goals conceded. We picked up big wins against Verona and Genoa in which we managed to put 6 past the 2017/18 Serie A winners before slumping to a 5-4 defeat against 4th placed A.C. Milan, a game in which we led 3-0 at half-time before once again collapsing at the back. It's beginning to become costly!

In the cup we managed to pull off an 8-3 aggregate win over Serie B side Novara in the Semi-Final, the first leg was disappointing but ultimately our stature came out on top which was much expected by fans everywhere. The big talking point now is that we'll be facing Torino in the Final, our fierce Turin rivals..A rivalry that resulted in 4 red cards in the previous encounter. It's going to be a big one!

Our final game of the month saw us pick up a 2-1 victory away from home against Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, a big result for us as we bag two away goals to put ourselves in a good position for the second leg in Turin.

The victory over Atletico means that our 100% record in this seasons Champions League continues, can we progress to the next round?

Dutch Striker Kenneth de Jager has been continuing his fine form as the £40m signing from Benfica has now racked up 20 goals and 12 in 26 appearances, he's proved to be a phenomenal player so far this season and has already attracted major interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

Although I'd like to see more league goals from the Dutchman, he's currently not ranked in the top 5 league scorers.

Despite our heavy loss to A.C. Milan at the end of the month we still sit 3 points at the top due to Sampdoria losing 3-0 to Torino last week, it's a tight run-in and we know that the title is far from won...

6da7df8bf19a77246ae82532d5f9c197.png

March see's some more big football to be played as we face Spezia and Bari in back-to back home games, we'll be expected to win these games meaning the pressure will really be on us before heading to Florence and back to face Napoli in the following weeks, it doesn't get much hard than that!

The biggest game of the month will arguably be the home tie against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, all we have to do is avoid a heavy defeat to progress into the next round.

45ec2ec48c7b1957d74875690ec5e867.png

In other news we've sold our attacking midfielder Matias Reynoso to Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk for £10m, the transfer window is still open in Eastern Europe meaning the move was able to go through. I originally intended to keep the young play-maker but his demand for Football can't be met with De Bruyne in such fine form and so I opted to accept his demands to leave. £10m is a good price.

As you can see he's got some great stats but has failed to break into the team here at Juventus, maybe one day he'll prove me wrong but we'll have to see!
