Bit of a shame if you were end it now.

I'm going to finish the season and see how it goes, being in Italy doesn't seem to attract as much attention from readers than the Premier League did when I managed there. Which can sometimes make it feel a bit pointless! But we'll see. :)

March 2020

February was a tough month but we still found ourselves top of the league, as the end of the season comes nearer we were looking for a big month in March to boost our hopes of winning the Scudetto.

These are the fixtures that we faced for the month of March, but how did we do?

Not too well...Sure we went unbeaten but three draws from five games means we dropped 6 points in March, I said Spezia would be a tough game and it proved to be that way while Fiorentina and Napoli also held us to a 1-1 draw.

We managed to beat Atletico 3-0 at the Juventus Stadium to help us progress into the Quarter-Finals, a brilliant performance in which we dominated the game and ultimately bagged the goals when they mattered.

I'm fairly happy with this draw, we managed to avoid some of the big guns and were instead drawn against mid-table Roma, I fancy our chances of progression but we'll have to wait and see!

I was surprised to see Athletic Bilbao in the Quarter-Finals but it looks like they could be at the end of the road, but apart from them I think we were drawn against the best possible team.

In terms of the Serie A we still sit at the top, but recent dropped points have seen the gap drop to a single point, we definitely need to get our winning form back, otherwise it's goodbye to our title hopes.

Here's a look at next months fixtures, 3 ties against Roma which are all vital games as well as league matches against Champions Sampdoria and in-form Inter Milan. It's a make or break month!

The month has been made more difficult though by the injury to our star playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, the Belgian is now set to miss the remainder of the season, this could be massive during the final run-in!

April 2020

With the gap down to a single point we faced a tough month in April as we looked to get the title challenge back on track, as well as that we would face Roma in the UEFA Champions League.

We had a good month in terms of the league, well until the last match that is..We picked up big wins over Empoli, Chievo and Roma but a devastating defeat to Sampdoria means that the gap remains one point with 3 games to play.

4f0bc739acde4361e5adfd1d17f5b1a3.png

In Europe we also managed to breeze past AS Roma, our 100% record was ended but an impressive home display saw us progress into the Quarter-Finals.

We were drawn against Paris Saint Germain in the semi-finals, a tough draw that would see me pit against the club where I once coached alongside Ancelotti. He was back in charge there now following a stint in Spain which meant it was once again Master v Apprentice, but who would come out on top?

f5fc274a706e028672d4d589a9123ed5.png

Sadly it wasn't to be..PSG were far too strong at the Parc Des Princes for us, despite the two away goals we weren't quite able to turn the deficit around despite a home win, a 6-4 aggregate loss but at least we went down with some pride.

Elsewhere Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-0 to set-up a PSG v Real Madrid Champions League Final.

I don't wanna be one for excuses but we've had a lot of injuries lately that I think affected our chances in Europe. De Jager, De Bruyne, Rafinha..All out injured which meant we had players playing well out of their position, but we'll never know if that affected things or not.

Overall this is how the month looked, it all went well bar the two defeats but it's a tough league and the Champions League is self-explanatory...We have 3 games left to bag the title, we need concentration!

As I said, still one point above Sampdoria and only two above Milan.

Next month will be a proper challenge..If we're to win the league we have to do it the hard way. Games against three of the best teams in the league as well as a Cup Final.

In other news our points tally has secured our spot in the Champions League next season.

A massive amount of money has been promised for next season which will certainly help to strengthen the squad, if I'm still in charge that is.

Happy to see Milan doing well, they never do much on my saves!

Who you planning on buying?

This is it, the final month..Will we win two trophies or will we win nothing?

Woo! The first piece of silverware I've won as a manager! After 4 runners-up medals I've finally added something to the cabinet. We had a lot of players out injured or being rested but Luka Jovic's 113th minute winner was enough to lift the Italian Cup!

London Buses! From nothing to two trophies in a matter of days, both of which were against Torino! A 2-1 win over our Turin rivals secured the title win following Sampdoria's dropped points against Bari.

A.C. Milan had a good finish to the season as they nipped in ahead of Sampdoria to claim second place, Sassuolo also secured European qualification but overall there aren't any real surprises.

Lazio were almost relegated until they beat Reggina on the final day of the season whereas Roma secured a sloppy 12th placed finish with 2017/18 Champions Genoa finishing way down in 13th. No surprising relegations this year.

Immobile once again claimed the Golden Boot after bagging an impressive 32 goals from 38 games. A late run of goalscoring form from De Jager saw him finish the season on 22 league goals. A fantastic debut season from the 21 year old.

Kenneth de Jager's debut season saw him win the POTY award, not a bad start to life in Turin for the Dutchman!

Yeah...We pretty much dominated the TOTY.

Here are my managerial stats at the end of Season 5:

I always aim for a win percentage of 50+ so I'm delighted with how it's going so far!

Finally some Silverware! (Or gold apparently..)

The real question now is..Do I stay at Juventus or do I move on?

Genoa's season got more miserable as they not only performed poorly in the league but they fell to defeat against Manchester City in the Europa League Final. City also had a poor year domestically but the Europa win will qualify them for the Champions League.

Elsewhere Ancelotti overcame his old team to win the Champions League, a great year for the Italian as he's overseen his team lift not only European glory, but the league title as well.

Another Break...

Well...

Having won some trophies with Juventus I've decided to take an indefinite break, it seems like a suitable time to do so after my barren run without a trophy..But I have a lot of work coming up over the next few weeks.

Thank you for understanding!

As it turns out..The end of the story was only temporary...It's back, with a twist!

Nice story this has been! I think you should think outside the box and make your own style story, you would be good at that!

Every rollercoaster has to end sometime. It's been a pleasure reading this mate.

I agree, it's been slowing down lately and as I'm now managing Juventus it's either going to be me winning the Serie A every year or a constant change from big club to big club which can get boring for not just me but the readers too! I'm currently in the process of working out my new long-term save, hint is that it's a Conference North side. I probably won't get them to the Prem but at least it'll be fun working my way to the top. Should last until FM16 too! :)

Been a great story pal,
If your like rollercoasters how about portsmouth?

Solid end to the year. Would've liked to see you win the Champions League as well, but I can imagine this becoming stale really fast. As mentioned in your new career thread I'll be following that AND try and comment a bit more often.
