Andy Carroll: I Was Not Wanted.

what a ****
signs contract in October, because he was happy at the time with terms offered, now because other clubs wanted him he wanted better contract. So knowing club wouldnt be stupid to offer him new contract he says "either give me new contract or byebye

Not his finest hour, IF Ashley is to be believed.

I really don't believe this source tbh - I don't anything about 'Toontalk' or how reliable it is, but it seems somewhat unlikely that the owner of the site is "good mates" with Carroll and Carroll was texting him in the midst of sorting out his future.. It's obviously not entirely unlikely that what apparently happened, did happen and I wouldn't put it past Cashley.. Agree with Stu saying Newcastle should have negotiated for a loan from Liverpool in the deal, since history suggests this money will be spent in a casino/burger bar somewhere rather than on a new striker.. Really hope Newcastle stay up though

first of all 30 million get a grip we got bumped
An newcastle fans stop whining u will stay up and wiv the 30M u can invest in the summer so if I was A newcastle fan i woud be happy wiv the deal

Hopefully Carroll can deliver, regardless of his intention to join us.We payed for him and hes already at the club, there's nothing we can do now.Lets just hope for the best.

Fair enough if Carroll had been sold for a small-ish fee I could understand Newcastle fans being dissapointed, but £35m for a club like them is a huge boost, especially for an unproven Premiership striker and they can get 4 or 5 good quality players into the club using that money. IMO, good deal for Newcastle, bad deal for Liverpool.

Pardew has said today that all of the cash will be invested back into the market in the summer. The reason that no-one signed for Toon last night is because clubs knew that Newcastle had 35m to spend and were sending inflated prices on the hope Newcastle would knee-jerk into a hasty deal.

Lol and you guys were complaining about the fm transfer bug! rather than throw some insults at my northernly neighbours, i 'd say newcastle got a pretty good deal. carroll was not forced out, the fans still liked him and so did the teammates. he couldve easily rejected liverpool. but take the 35, grab a few quality buys and the club could be very strong next year.
