Anyone noticed a change with the full version compared to BETA?

Defending crosses does seems difficult atm, I feel if the opposition have the ball in a byline crossing position, 8 times out of 10 its going to result in a goal. The few times it doesnt are usually when the opposition striker misses a sitter from the millimetre-perfect cross thats placed directly onto his forehead.

little do they realise that every team has different players that require their own separate tactics. you can't simply chuck your low grade C grade team with a 3-4-3 very fluid super smasher tac u downloaded off the internet. it simply won't work. LOOK AT YOUR ******* TEAM. who are your players. what are their roles. do you have a short or tall striker. what is his finishing. what is his off the ball. how fast are your wide wingers? what about defense ? can you play wingbacks at all? can you play a poacher or a targetman? is your DM a playemaker or an actual DM? can you play AM or treq?

i have a better 0.5 star poacher than a 3.5 star player that can play 4 positions, simply because he is 1.89m tall and gets me home with headers and smart targetman holds and backpassing

Lol... obviously people bring in players and play players that suit the given tactic, they don't just use the tactic and expect to win every game 3-0. It just a solid base to grow you're team around.

I'm playing as Nottingham Forrest and I've scored exactly 90 goals this season playing 4-2-4 with Billy Sharp and Simon *** up front and just finished 3rd in the league one point off of Watford.... 2 Striker tactics work as does any tactic with the right team.

Well, I´ve never understood why people download tactics at all. I think that creating my own tactic is what the game is about.

For you it may be, but people play it for different reasons. People who don't understand tactics and are useless at them download them so they can enjoy other aspects of the game (like myself).

The keepers are terrible, if you cross then you've scored and you can score from ANY angle.

Its annoying that no 2 striker formations seem to work without getting hammered by 4 or 5 though! I hate playing with 1 striker!!

I had a 4-4-2 formation with 2 complete forwards Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney and both were scoring alot between them until Chicharito came in and cleaned up all the goals.(something that would happen in real life if he started all the time)

For me this is comfortably the worst FM ever to be released. It is so unrealistic that it becomes genuinely infuriating. I am Liverpool and in my first 10 games I am yet to win and have lost 8 of those games including Southampton, Norwich and Reading all at home. Against Southampton, I supposedly had 34 shots, even though I didn't see one of them on the key highlights, whereas Southampton had 4 shots and I lost 2-0. Whenever the ball goes wide it inevitably ends up with the opposition scoring. No matter what tactic or what training methods I employ it doesn't seem to make a jot of difference. I will be asking for a refund unless FM announce very quickly they are planning an immediate update.

I do not think its the worst because there are some really cool new features like director of football, deadline day and so on, but the match engine is easily the worst, and you should have your highlights on extended, they changed key to extended for some god unknown reason, while key is now pretty much a goal, penalty, offside goal or sending of.

I created a 4-2-3-1 Attacking Fluid tactic with the 2 centre midfielders being ball wining midfielders set to defend, while the 3 attacking are wingers with and advanced playmaker in the centre all set to attack and a complete forward on top of them obviously set to attack. I play shorter, more expressive, more roaming type of football. I never press, it gets the players wrecked.

Give it a crack. Might work, might not.

i havent had any problems since the release...won my first two games comfortably keeping a clean sheet in both and drew the 3rd 1-1, defenders seem to do there job and my goalie has pulled off fantastic saves, im using a downloaded tactic because im tactically retarded but im enjoying it ALOT more than the BETA which was making me really frustrated...if i wasnt so broke my laptop would be in pieces playing the BETA

I started a new game last night, but I've only played against my reserve team so far, 4-0 for me. I didn't see anything incredibly stupid. Was playing with Might and Magic to see how it works. I'm hoping I can run a 4-2-3-1 as well, I normally switch between 4-4-2 attacking and 4-2-3-1 control.

I used to download tactics till I started making my own in 2012, its not that hard, but in what i disagree with you is with changing tactics in most of the matches; except for a few instructions i hate doing that, i like having 1 or 2 tactics for my team and switch between them at need; i simplly feel it helps keeping players gelled, and i just hate changing tactics all the time, it gets annoying..

now on a little defense for the ppl who do download tactics, I do belive that its quite hard, and all those sliders and stuff make it kinda scary at first; before i started creating my tactics i had to read stuff around the internet and then i just created my tactics which still werent brilliant at all..

I never had any real problems do far. I don't seem to be doing too bad in defending crosses. Admittedly I'm Chelsea so therefore have a good team and solid defence but still.

In my first few games I did concede a lot of easy goals - largely from players rubbing through my defence rather than crosses. I tweaked my tactics, dropped my defensive line deeper and slowed the tempo to stop me being ripped on the break. I also put my full backs and wingers on man-mark, got my CMs to play more defensively and targeted all opposition wingers and full backs with specific instructions. Worked very well, now 8 points up with 4 games to go.

I think if you are having serious problems defending than you should look at the tactics played and whether they can be tweaked.

hahahah.. actually its very real.. In real life how many games has Liverpool won so far? u shd even be glad you have won a few.. team sucks real life & Thank goodness they suck on the game too.. hahaha

There was an awesome 3 striker formation that I used in fm12, I cannot remember what it was called. It was 4 x backs 1 x defence mid, 2 central mids and 3 strikers.

Im still trying to figure out if its my team or the match engine but I still seem to be conceding a lot of ridiculous goals... I mean Im still having a problem my keeper kicking the ball to the opposition and they score from it but its more varied now like it use to never happen from free kick in my half now it does...
What is really frustrating is I almost feel like im being punished for trying to pass the ball... I create 2CCC at least every game and none of from crosses all are passes and my strikers arnt that bad...

I just lost 3-0 to to Portsmouth 2 goals were because their winger was stood on the back post of just tapped in a crosses. My ******* DL was marking him and at the most crucial moment in the move just....walked away..... just walked totally in the opposite direction of the player and he's left unmarked on the back post. Even if i put it on man markng and have their wingers closed down all the time and tight marking. Just....yeah.....just walks away.
