Anyone you know in FM 11?

my cousin jake woollaston used to be in the game which was quite perculiar as he hadnt played for like 3 years but i think since the update hes no longer in the game i cant seem to find him :/
also liam mcalinden or something lol was in the year below me and adam langely was in my year so yeah know quite a few :P
 
I know Ingólfur Sigurðsson at Heerenveen.
He's an immense footballer, went to trial at Arsenal about a year ago.
 
I used to go to school with Brian Howard, got into alot of fights with his younger brother John
 
I met someone who went to my university who went to high school with Mike Grella (played for Leeds, not sure where he is now). Apparently he wasn't that good and was an *******. My dad was good friends with someone who played semi-professionally in the states and made a few appearances with the national team (this was before the MLS). I went to school with a professional basketball player and my brother was friends with a few very good college gridiron football players who might go pro.

When I was in Argentina I met two youth players. I went drinking with a group of guys in Rosario and one of them played for one of Newell's youth teams. Also, when I was at the Iguazu waterfall I met a youth player for Racing, a defender, I think his name was Richy something.

I'm surprised though that so many people here know professional football players...maybe it's because the UK is a (relatively) small country?

Also, I got my picture taken at the 2006 World Cup with Georges Bregy (Swiss star back in the 80's and 90's). Had no idea who he was but my friend's Swiss cousins immediately had us take a picture with him.

Also, the thought just occurred to me, do you think there is anyone famous on FM? I mean, I'm sure a few managers and players play this game (Wenger said he used it to scout players), and this is pretty much the most popular site for it...so it wouldn't surprise me.

I know Byron Webster who plays for Doncaster. Hes coahced our Under 15 team a few times.
 
Jarrett Rivers, middlebroughs U18's. He's class in real life and has played for the reserves on a couple of occasions. My mam also teaches the stupider ones at Middlebrough.
 
shared a bed with Apostolos Vellios of hraklhs fc...its a greek club.Some may know him because he was linked with Aston Villa for a 2.5mil move.great youth prospect
 
Phil Jones (Blackburn 1st team) - Went to school with him, lives down the road, talk to him regurally.

Danny Mayor (Preston 1st team) - Also went to school with him, going on holiday with him later this year and went out round town with him last week!
 
André Santos, Sporting Club Portugal, used to hang out in Leiria (don't know if it's the right expression).

Miguel Neves, Fátima, same university and his girlfriend is a friend.
 
Lol, this guy for liverpool..

I actually played vs this guy last year when I was in high school (His school was like 10 minutes away from me, Chesterfield high..) and he played vs my school and I just find it pretty cool that well, he is on football manager and dubbed as a wonder kid and I played against him in real life xD

I megged him once also :) That's all I did to him tho XD he was pretty good LOL

Just thought I would share that..
 
fraser fyvie plays for aberdeen

was in the same primary school & academy class as him. Played in the same team in a tournament and for are school :)
 
Ross Langworthy, Forest Green Rovers Under 18's. Now plays for my local team, used to play for Aston V
 
Paul Gubbels. Someren (amateurs, the Netherlands)

now plays in the same team as I do, it's pretty awesome!
 
Don't know anyone on FM, but my P.E. teacher used to play for blackpool in somthing like the 70's, never really asked him about it though.
