Looked very comfortable in the Champions League. Walked the group, beat Atletico Madrid & PSG in knockout stages before losing to Bayern in the semi's on away goals, didnt take our chances at home.

If have havent saved over them i'll dig out some screenies.
 
I have started probably 5 or 6 saves with Man City on fm15 and only once was able to win CL first season, so semi's is still solid. Great OP, I love 4 4 2, player roles are ones I like to use, I will give this a go, maybe with some small tweaks.
I would expect offensive wingbacks perform great as ml/mr, am I right? Like Kolarov, Alaba, Marcelo etc? Good in offense but able to defend a lot better than traditional wingers.
Also, where did you use Toure? he's workrate pretty low for bbm, and he has "gets forward" ppm, so he wont hold position enough for dlp on defend as I see it.

I used Toure as the DLP and Fernandinho as the Box to Box.

Quite happily could have reversed that, might even have been better. Yeah you could push attack minded Full Backs into midfield. Did that with Kolarov & Zabaleta when we were injury hit, worked well.
 
This tactic is superb. I am doing the SAF challenge and got Spurs. Using this as my 4-4-2 tactic and I have won every game after taking over on 6th November (now in January), including an away thrashing of Man City, and wins against Liverpool (top of league) and Chelsea. I am finding it to be far less leaky than people are saying, having trouble getting the Strikers scoring regularly but Lamela from the MR has scored 14 in about 20 games.

Link works now, Mediafire was down for some time. But I think it won't hurt if you add alternative download link straight from fm base, as Mediafire is banned in some countries (Turkey, if I am not wrong), and some people ask for alternative link in threads here ;)
 
My pre season is over, played several matches with this is looks great so far. I will upload screenshots after I do full season.
I will also tweak the base into second tactic, for situations when team is desperate for a goal, so overload mentality and etc. Will give feedback if this will save me some matches :) Cheers
 
I was using a 4-1-2-2-1 as my main tactic, but due to some injuries i've changed to a 4-4-2 very similar to your tactic in some aspects (roles, duties, etc).

Even so I downloaded your tactic and i've used some instructions (especially individual ones) on mine, and i got to say, it improved so much. Great results so far, 6 games without conceding, but the most impressive is the way the team is playing.

Even without having used your tactic itself, i think its a great tactic. Anyway.. thanks for the "inspiration" haha
 
It was tested and developed in classic, so sure it will work

Alright I don't know if this is a problem with my players, but I have never seen so many stupid goals conceeded in my life :D Keeper kicking ball into opposition striker 2 times, 2 goals. FB's and CB's pass the ball back, for striker to run onto and score, about 3 times. Keeper rushes to clear the ball long, then retreats back to goal line, and conceeds. Freaking funny as ****.
I think it may be a poor representation of misscommunication between defenders and keeper.
I lost 2 games away out of 20, and drawn 2 where I should have won, but my back 4 kept doing funny things.
I will finish the season today and post back :) everything else works good, but maybe I need to tweak defense just a bit, because it is not working too well for me.
 
Playing as City. Before that I was 4-1 vs United was bad... :( Minute 21 I was down 4-1 already.
 
On the bright side, despite me forgetting his birthsday cake, and him being unhappy for the whole year because of that, Toure went into absolute beast mode!
 
Good solid start, mixed results in pre season but kicked off (Sheff Wed) with a 2-0 away at Brighton then 1-0 at Fleetwood in the cup
