to be fair thats a hard run of fixtures...

I beat At Madrid 3-0 + 2-0 in the Groups of the CL, then after the patch the dominate me 4-1 away? maybe different day etc, but still quite a difference. I also beat Man City 3-0 in the prem, then lose 4-0 after the patch

What are you guys doing when you are facing a big opponent. How is your strategy, still offensive? Because I'm just qualified me in CHL with Brondby.

I removed the push higher up instruction and works a treat for me after the patch

Still great tactic. what do people do if you are behind in a game and having to chase a game late on for equaliser or drawing against weaker opposition??

patch? they released a patch for the game? i dont have any and nothing downloads when i start the game

Version Info: 14.0.3 434571 (m.e v1420) this is the version i'm using, i know it's offtopic sorry, but can someone confirm this is the client version with the new patch? maybe it downloaded while i wasnt @my pc (but steam was online)

Yes thats it

Sorry I haven't parsed through the entirety of the pages of replies, but has anyone experimented with player roles? For instance, maybe a poacher instead of a CF, or a reginista at one of the DM spots?

Just curious.

Love the tactic so far.

I have tried this tactic with a few teams now. first i tried it with AS Roma and the first season went "okey" sort of, injury problems put me into 5th place at the end. got sacked the 2nd season due to more injury problems and bad result. with Lazio i dident get it too work at all.

Currently im playing with Sevilla in spain and the first season went good, after having too rebuild the squad too my flavor i finished 3rd. iam currently in the 2nd season sitting on top of the league table after 6 games, so the next thing is too win the league and play better in champions league, i got hammered by Chelsea 1-5 and shaktar 2-5.

There are 2 strikers: CF and AF in this tactic.
Could you simply explain what is the difference and what stat are critically important for both roles.
For example Papiss Cisse in Newcastle or other forward from this nice team.

Just an update, on my second season at Newcastle. First season I finished 6th, knocked out late in the cups. Didn't do much roster tweaking other than signing a CF (Ola Toivanan).

Currently in the second season I'm sitting top of the table end of January. Only hiccups are I can't beat Southampton for whatever reason and I got knocked out of EURO right away. I had **** depth anyway, so that wasn't an issue. I sold guys high and built up a ton of depth for second season and it's working out great.

One thing I've started doing in games that are even/underdog is going Counter and removing push higher up and adding retain possession. I changed my DM's to be a DLP and RGA. I seem to pressure better that way, but not win as many balls in the midfield.

I also recommend cross training wide players, so they can play both DL/DR and ML/MR.

This is an amazing tactic giving me great success with Nottingham Forest. Came top of the championship first season and now first season back in the big time id be happy with avoiding relegation, but as it stands I've got to January and I'm sitting fourth in the premiership. Great tactic

Any way i can implement Mesut Ozil in this tactic :/ ?

PS. How is your strikers doing?

Giroud (plays the AF/A) got 10 goals in 10 matches.

Doumbia (plays the CF/A) got 2 goals in 9 matches :-(

Maybe try and retrain him as a LM? Although not sure he has the stamina/work-rate to do it well enough.
When I used this tactic the CF rarely scored but the AF scored most of the goals so this seems about right.

Im using him as AP/A right now. Will test for some games
