Have just seen the trailer for Assassins Creed 3, Brotherhood. As a huge fan of the first two games, I am really looking foward to this coming out. What about you guys?

Found the second one enjoyable, especially since it was a mass improvement for the first.

Really looking for this to be a top game this year.

Can't wait for it seeing as AC1 and 2 are probably some of my favourite games this gen. It isn't Assassin's Creed 3 btw, it is basically Assassin's Creed 2.5 as it just finishes the Ezio story before AC3.

Assasins Creed 2 was quality, especially comparing it to the first one. Will probably buy this one.

The multiplayer that they are adding in this also looks great. :D

i would post the trailer but i dont no how to :S lol

I hope it's not rushed out and therefore a pile of ****. Still havn't got Assassin's Creed 2 but it looks great.

I loved AC & AC2, both really well thought out and both made unique and believable references to major world events throughout our history. Easily the best storyline on 'next-gen' so far. This game should fill in some of the blanks for avid fans of the AC series (at least i hope it will lol).

I'm glad this isn't the third game as i earlier believed it to be, as my initial thought was 'Oh ****, they've rushed the third' lol but i'm still looking forward to this and it's defo on my pre-order list :D

Singleplayer

Ubisoft claims (through conferences, videos and announces) that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will include new features, especially small gameplay add-on (i.e.: the flying Sequence in Assassin's Creed II, different from the rest of the gameplay)new weapons will be introduced such as the crossbow. New combat elements will also be introduced rewarding those who attack first.
It is also likely that the player (through Ezio) will have to train apprentices, help other assassins or even be confronted with them.
Ezio's abilty to train and send other assassins on jobs and missions may have a key gameplay element in such that their success may have a small impact of the storyline. This succes will depend on abilities of the assassins sent, where younger less experienced assassins will have a higher failure rate then experienced ones. Ezio may also have the ablity to select and bring along a group of assassins to assist in his missions, Ubisoft have said that in Brotherhood leadership is a vital skill as the ablity to use a sword. Also mentioned was the ability to select an assassin as Ezio's "personal assassin", no further information about this was given.
Multiplayer

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the first Assassin's Creed game to feature a multiplayer mode. The players are Templars in training at the Abstergo facility. They use the animi to train. The training consists of stalking and killing one another. If the game is pre-ordered at gamestop.com, an extra character called "the Harlequin" will be available to play as.
One of the multiplayer game modes has been announced in the July edition of Playstation magazine. This mode is called "Wanted". Six to eight players are dropped on a map where they find and kill each other. Each player is given a target, which is another player. Your goal is to find and kill your target without being seen or killed by your own predator. If you break your cover and your target sees you, a chase sequence will commence. They will try to catch and kill you and you will have to hide from them.
Aside from the characters and the "Wanted" game mode, no specifics are known as of yet.
Physics and Effects

Ubisoft has stated that the graphics will be improved upon, as well as several physics in the game. Ragdolls will fall much more realisticly due to the new, edited "Havok" engine. In the other games, ragdolls sometimes would combust when hitting the floor after being thrown off a building.
In Assassin’s Creed II, some PC players have stated that ragdolls such as the "Borgia Messenger" are more likely to fall unrealisticly, due to their cape that 'clips' through their body. In some instances, ragdolls would have fallen with their arms clipping through their backs and legs. These certain instances mostly happen when Ezio picks up a body and throws it back on the ground, however it could happen anytime.
Controlling the Assassins

During the game you will have the option sending Assassins to areas for completing tasks. You will have the ability to send new assassins to other European countries and complete missions and gain status. Once they have proven themselves they can accompany you on missions in Rome. The new assassins are recruited when Ezio rescues them from some harassing guards, which leads to them joining the Assassins. You can have the ability to train young Assassins and have them do jobs for you.

  • So far it's known that you will at least be able to train twelve assassins at a time and possibly bring up to four on missions.

Is this a 3rd game or just an add on for the second? I rembember reading about it while I was still playing the second and the magazine said it was probably an add on rather than a third installment.

It is a whole new game, I would say it is basically a standalone expansion of the game.

Cant wait for this Assasins Creed 2 was one of my favorite games, When is it out?

I am a big fan of AC1 AND AC2 and this one looks great.....i will definetly buy this

November 16th this year according to GameSpot and Wikipedia.

Cheers for the reply mate. Should be good the second one was great.

According to Ubisoft, the game is going to offer over 15 hours of single-player gameplay set in the city of Rome.Since Rome was the center of power and corruption, Ezio will not be able to finish the job alone. So, Ezio will be able to recruit and train young Assassins that can be deployed across the city of Rome, or can be called upon to aid him in his quests. Players now will be able to upgrade the whole city of Rome. It is compared to the upgrading system in Assassin's Creed II. Also in the quests, Ezio will meet old and new friends, real historical characters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolò Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza with whom he can collaborate, and also by helping out citizens of Rome and convincing them to join the cause will unlock extra factions and missions.Old weapons and devices from previous games will carry over, such as hidden blades, and an advanced Da Vinci's flying machine. There are some new weapons and gadgets in player's disposal that is introduced such as syringe, poison darts, crossbow, claw, blade fan, dagger, parachute and switchblade that was shown in the game teaser. It has been confirmed by the creative director that Ezio's new nemesis will be Cesare Borgia, the son of Rodrigo Borgia (now Pope Alexander VI).
