LEG 2
AWAY

lego 2.PNG

Bernabe opposition goalie as got a slight injury, lets see if we can capitalise on it.

wa leg.PNG

We drew, most players were really complacent after the trashing we gave to them at home.

FINAL

CORDOBA (1st in SD B4) v LOS BASE CF (1st in SD B2)

LEG 1

We are again the favourites. And certainly the players will be itching to win after the draw in the Semis.

Of course it will be hard as Cordoba has a player named Thierry Moutinho - a real double theat - a scorer and an assister

cord 1.PNG

Heh, at least we got the away goal :D

LEG 2
HOME

This is the power of home crowd. Thank you all.

Thor hattrick

NEXT SEASON WE WILL BE PLAYING IN THE LIGA123.

PLAYER OF THE PLAYOFFS
dahnert.PNG

Dahnert is the man, because no matter the game, he always gave his best. Never got a rating below 7.0. (4 games, 7.23 avr rating)

END OF THE SEASON update will come probably on saturday.
Dont forget to send me pics of your player.

Dahnert stepping up in the big games! Player of the playoffs. Mr. Consistent himself.

Much better, thank you. I will DM you a pic of Strengaru.

Pops finished with 14 goals which isn't too bad but not great either. Disappointing not to play any part in the playoffs but needs to improve next season. Looking forward to end of season review

Yuri had a very, very average season. Hoping he can improve next year.

SQUAD
squad.PNG

Thor was squads top scorer overall, but Culhane was top scorer in league with 19 goals + 2 goals in the playoffs.

Culhane also picked up most Player of the Match awards (6). Thor and Scott were second with 4.

Paddy McPaddison on the left side gave the best passes in the final third, having 17 of his passes converted into goals. His rival on the same wing, Robert Robertson gave 9 assists.

We only got 4 red cards *clap clap*.
Logic would say that the top three in yellows should be defenders or ball winning midfielders, right.
WRONG! First is Gavin Jameson with 14, second is our winger James Scott with 12 and third and fourth are Dan Wolfe and Jordan WIlliams with 11.

Our wingers and wing backs were among the most hardworking players in the league. Six of them (Scott, Walker, Paddy, Williams, Robertson and Yuri) were in the top 13 players with most distance covered in 90 minutes.

An incredible 15 out of 20 spots for best performers in the league went to our players. How crazy is that?

We might have some tall players, but they really need to learn to use it. Cause none of them had won enough headers to be included in the leagues newspapers stats section.

We might've not had the most shots on goal or even most shots in general, but we did have an excellent record for goalscoring. Ours and the leagues top three players (Culhane, Pops, Thor) needed on average 108.62 minutes per goal.

James Scott is a good small player with good agility and thats exactly why he completed 4.86 dribbles per game even though he might've lost his balance and fallen over a couple of times. But at least he is on top 3 for dribbles in the league and 20th in offsides.

Seems like next seasons main defensive pair will be Dahnert and Jameson as they made the most key tackles in out team (14 and 13).

Gotta say that either our attack was so good that opposition players never got in our half or our defence was so underwhelming that did just did not get into any but one defending category. I, myself, am leaning toward the underwhelming part, since Strengaru had to hold 51 saves, parry 25 saves and defend 2 penalties of which one he saved.

INJURIES

The most injury prone players were Nomas (64 days), Walker (43 days) and Victor (46 days), who missed 19%, 13% and 13% of the season respectively.
Nomas, Victor and Scott were the only players, who got injured really badly. Nomas had a twisted ankle after which he immediately strained his calf, well done, mate. Vadjo Victor a groin strain after an intensive night in with his girlfriend. Three months late he pulled his knee ligaments. If only I knew what they did in the bedroom. And Scott sprained his thigh running.

TEAM OF THE SEASON

Thor won Player and Young Player of the Season, followed closely by Culhane and James Scott, who won Goal of the Season.

Considering the competition for midfield places, pretty happy that Ciric got in the team of the season. Looks like his stats are progressing nicely and a couple of International appearances to boot.

Time to see if the squad can cope with the promotion now

Haha, Strengaru as a GK has the best pass completion in the team. No wonder as in picking his top attributes I've looked at what ter Stegen excells in. Viva los base!

Congrats Thór, well done this season. Goal for the next season: Become topscorer once again, make even more minutes en be more consistent. I'd rather have him score 1 goal each game than have him score 4 hattricks and 15 games without a goal.

Looking forward to seing how next season develops! Pleased with Scotts overall season!

14 goals from 19 starts and further 6 sub appearances isn't too bad. Room for improvement though as Thor had almost 10 more starts. Strive to improve!

START OF THE SEASON

Pre-Season

pre seasons.PNG

Most of the games were against teams in Portuguese third league teams.

LEAGUE

league preview.PNG

We are predicted to finish in the top half of the table. I'd say that's quite good for a newly promoted side. If we want to get promoted, we need to finish in one of the top 6 places to get a shot. Top 2 get automatic promotion and rest of the four teams fight for the last place in LaLiga Santander. It is going to be a busy season as we have six more games during the normal season than last year, 42 games altogether.
We will be facing many teams that have already been in the top league in the not so long ago past. This is going to be that much tougher than last time.

top scorer.PNG

Media has picked Lewis Culhane to be among the top scorers in the league this season.

First time getting numbers!!

AUGUST

RACING CLUB DE FERROL v LOS BASE CF

ferrol.PNG

We conceded from a long free kick. I was hit so well that Strengaru didn't even have a chance.

LOS BASE CF v CELTA DE VIGO B
celta b.PNG

Scott and Pops turned in a great performance. Robertson pulled the strings in the background, which earned him PoM award. Hopefully they can replicate their form in the next game.

ELCHE v LOS BASE CF
elche.PNG

Turns out you can't hope that youngsters turn up every singe game.
We scored after their keeper came out for a cross but failed to even get a single fingertip to it. Wolfe scored a free header into an empty net.

TABLE
liga123.PNG

We are currently sitting in eleventh, the middle of the table. It's still early in the season, everyone searching for their form, so nothing to worry about, yet. And we dont have a negative goal difference, so thats good.

stats.PNG

Scott is among the top scorers after his one good game.

I'd probably say that Gavin Jameson is the best player of the month if he hadnt missed the crucial header that led to Elches equalizer, but he did. So we have not best player of the month.

If you ever get to change, can Pops have 23? Not bothered but maybe a lucky number will bring more consistency from him haahaa

SEPTEMBER
All I do is win win win no matter what

Los Básé CF v CD Mirandés
mirandes+.PNG

mirandes.PNG

We kicked September off with our first hat tricks in Spanish second division, LaLiga 123A good large win thanks to Robertson who sealed the game with two goals in the last 15 minutes. Also an assist hat trick for Felix Nomas.

A tough win against the second best team in the league. Thor grabbed us the last minute winner after coming off the bench. Once again solid defensive work from our Danish centre back Dahnert.

CD Tenerife v Los Básé CF

Goals from both our wingers mean a victory for us and a rise in the table.

Thor scores once again. He has gone on bit of a run. 4 goals in 4 matches this month, amazing. It did get a bit tight at the end but our genius defense kept everything clean (tohugh they did let one in, so maybe not so genius after all).

LEAGUE

table.PNG

After the not so great august, we have flown up the table. 7 down, 35 to go. A lot can happen in that time.

STATS

stats.PNG

Thor and Robertson share the top scorer award. Robertson also has played better than anyone else so far in the league and received 4 PotM awards. But thats not all.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

sept player of month.PNG

ROBERTSON has also claimed Player of the Month award after the incredible hat trick and overall great performances.

FIRST HALF

October
...
...went relatively well. We destroyed Real Zaragoza, who was on top of the table. Then had two 0-0 draws and another 2 wins. Last one was a bit nervous as the game was 3-2 by the 57th minute. Luckily we held out. A good month overall. Thor scored in all games, where we won.

Rudholm at Pops both got their chances in the draws, but sadly they failed to capitalise and Thor hung on to his starting spot. Culhane also missed a penalty. Bondesson got really used to the DLP role and assisted all the goals in Cordoba match.

oct.PNG

Thor also earned himself a PotM award after an impressive 4 goals in 4 games. Last month Robertson was a bit more impressive. Shame that his form dropped. Good job, Thor.

oct potm.PNG

November...
...is the month, when I gave everyone, or rather, ordered everyone to have a prostate exam at the end of the month. First we lost to a team in relegation battle. A team who had only won 2 in 12 games before us. We were the turning point for them, as they won 2 and drew 1 in the 6 games they had after us.
Deportive game was really disappointing ad we conceded a late goal by Teodorczyk in the 93rd minute. The last minute in the game.

nov.PNG

December...
...was snowy and nice. Seems like the prostate exam went well. I told them that each time we had a month like that again, was a month they all had prostate exams again. To be fair, it was a woman doctor so she had small hands. And on another positive note, she didn't find anything. All of them were fine. Except Scott, who was just stupid. He had twisted his ankle on the sidewalk like a 73 year old grandma, he was out for a full month (18/11 - 18/12). His first game back was against Huesca, where he did assist a goal.
In the Copa del Rey game, Rudholm got his chance on the right wind and Pops as the central striker. Rudholm had a poor game till he headed in a cross by Pedersen, who got hat trick of assists. Sadly Pops never did turn around his below par performance, though he did play the full 90 minutes.

dec.png

Once again Thor scored in all the league games. Well, done, you blond Icelandic man.

dec potm.PNG

Most of the players are wanted by other clubs. I have to reject at least 2 offers a day. So far the most annoying clubs have been Internazionale and Burnley.

players.PNG

LEAGUE
table.PNG

After a horrible month gave a good one. And that is the only reason we are still in the playoff places.
Only 2 points off the automatic promotion spot. I know it might be a little early as there is still 6 months of football left. But as they say "you better get promoted or I´ll get the homeless man behind the Pica Pica supermarket and his friends to give YOU a prostate exam".

stats.PNG

Thor is leading the top scorer and best player so far tables in the league. Even our only goalkeeper Strengaru pops up in the clean sheet one. Now we only need to pick up more yellows and give more assists to dominate league stats!

END OF SEASON
2020/2021

January
....
went okay. Won some, drew some, lost one. Disappointing to lose in the Copa del Rey 2nd round to a team in our league. Only 1 clean sheet. Pull yourself together, Strengaru.

jan.PNG

February....
we got revenge. We absolutely destroyed Vallecano after the humiliation we faced in our cup run. A thrilling game against Tenerife, where they went up 2-0, we pulled back to 2-1. We tried to win it till the end, but boys were just too tired after the beating they gave to Rayo Vallecaono.

febr.PNG

March...
was the month Rudholm turned up. First, an hattrick by him, then an hattrick by Culhane and then 2 imortant goals from him after coming in to the game on 54th minute. All these wonderful performances earned him Player of the Month award.

march.PNG

march potm.PNG

Will his good form continue?

April....
was great. We won, won and won. Great form by everyone, even the keeper. Again a hattrick.

april.PNG

May...
This is 15 games unbeaten in a row. 9 games won in a row. Thats the new LaLiga 123 record. Hattrick again by Rudholm. He has been a revelation the second part of the season. Of course he has to thank the injuries of Neavie Pops and Thor. Sadly he got injured, but luckily excatly after Thor recovered. And Thor did not disappoint either. Scored in every game. A special thank you to all the defenders!!!

Seasons last game decides the champion. If I win, I win. If Rayo Vallecano wins, they win.

may.PNG

JUNE
We won, because they drew also! We got a lucky draw, and Vallecano finished the league with a boring 0-0 draw.
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

A very good job by Pierre Bondesson, who also won Fans Player of the Season award.

INJURIES

"Best" at being injured was Paddy McPaddison, who missed all together 86 days over the course of 2020/2021 season. He had 4 injuries. Worst of them was fractured lower leg (3 months).

Next was Neavie Pops with also 4 injuries, 46 days. Almost half the days of Paddy, the irish drunk. He has had problems with a recurring injury involving his ankles (currently out with a twisted ankle).

Jordan Williams was out with 5 injuries and 30 days. The biggest number of injuries. But none of them were really bad. He just had a cold, blisters and some bruises. Currently out with a damaged heel.

PLAYERS

Even though Rudholm had a great second half of the season, his rise to stardom started too late. He only got 14 goals, when thundergod Thor scored 22. Though Rudholm did get 5 PoM awards in 30 games, when Thor got the same amount in 32 games.
Robertson plied his trade this season on the right side of the pitch and contributed a total of 23 goals by passes or thunderous shots. All those incredible performances earned him the most POM awards. Great.
Though Bondesson gave the most in every single game he played, he did not get most PoM's. But he did get a piece of paper that said "BEST PLAYER IN LOS BASE CF (2020/2021)".
