Barcelona and Xavi passing!

Really? Heat graphs aren't everything. In the last match they played vs. Atletico, I watched Messi track Kun all the way back into his half to basically the LB position and steal the ball off him. I think a clip is on youtube as "messi missile" They all definitely track back. Pedro stays wide a lot more to maintain width, while Villa cuts inside and Maxwell stays out for width on the left.

Why are you arguing something that you clearly do not understand? Barca play total football; theres is a fluid system. However, the front three are well defined forwards. Villa and Pedro are NOT wingers.
 
Very well done, lad. I like to play with wingers so I just chnaged the positions a bit but otherwise in my first game as Barca I had 70% possession. I was playing with my B team.

The amount of effort put in this is highly appreciated.

Messi celebrates winning Ballon d'or + stricker n midfield of year in style by smashing 4 by Levante and Danny (111passes) n Barrios makes debut for me...

Ive also noted if i tick the box for primary t/man n t/man supply and p/maker i seem 2 pass less but usually score so i usually wait till the hour mark in games too tick these just wondering if ne1else as noticed this?????

Looks great mate, i will be looking in to everything over the weekend so hopefully Barcelona will be playing that way all the time.

I´ve been playing a litlle with the ta and i achieved to make it score a lot more, but, MCR passing rate decreased:P.
Very hard to mantain both
 
Hi all just a update on how im doing with this tactic..

Im 8points clear in league with a game in hand ova R.Madrid... But Real knocked me out in semi's of Cdr lost 2-0 away 1st leg then won 1-0 at home n add a goal dis-allowed..... And ive got Arsenal in last 16 of champo league so sould be an interesting game.....

Ive found it hard as well but if i just tick t/man n t/man supply box then put Xavi's passing to very short n normal creative freedom i usually get goals and passing but not as much passing as b4....hope you understand lol

Mate, bollocks to what people say or think. You have spent quite a bit of time making this. If people are un grateful with the fact that they have to wait an extra few days to get this sorted, then thats their problem.
With your V2 take all the time you need to perfect it.

I'll definetly be giving it a try later on post some feedback for you.

Looking ok only let 6 goals in after 22 games not bad. I will be working on V2 later thank you for your comments again.

Yes, I clearly don't understand it. I never said they're "wingers" but they're definitely not out and out strikers.

Messi's position is almost impossible to define because its so different based on the other team. It can loosely be called a false 9. Villa on the left is an out and out inside forward, but Pedro on the right is almost a winger/inside forward/poacher/wide midfielder. And total football? Thats the most overused phrase there is.. its not total football. It's this generation's version of it, but its not total football.

SteakFace is certainly right. Total Football has every player swapping positions and moving around the pitch freely, This system is near Impossible to use in modern football.

Messi plays as He feels. He is the only man given a true Free Role in The Barca Team. He is free to drift and drop where he feels. This is to confuse man markers and for him to be most effective. This can be loosely translated on to FM by having him in the AM role as a Trequartista with a defensive mentality.

Villa Pulls inside from the left to give himself more space. But is a Poacher Style forward. And his Role IS impossible to recreate accurately on FM. Pedro is a Definate Inside Forward, plays alot of through balls to the difficult to mark Villa. Barca is ridiculous to recreate on FM. No-one will EVER recreate there system perfectly.

V2 is under way friendlies only but looking better. Nearly gave up after the first few as it was doing my head in but now its looking better still getting high passes and more goals and ccc's.

Here are a few screenshots i will keep you up to date but a few beers are calling.......

In friendlies i swap everyone around at half time but in the Parma game everyone played and in the Sydney Kevin came on after 10mins due to Xavi getting injured. I know the teams i'm playing are easy team and maybe should be beating them my a lot more but i'm trying to tweak this tactic also Parma are a bit better team but soon as i get to AC Milan that will be the real test
