Well we lost the 1st leg to Real 4-1 as they totally destroyed us at their place in the 2nd leg we came out fighting and Ter Stegen netted a penalty Hattrick to win the Super Cup 4-4 on away goals.

So ive already mentioned the Super Cup matches in the Champions League we got off to a good start smashing Plzen in a high scoring 6-3 win before beating AC Milan thanks to a last gasp Lionel Messi goal. In the league we won 6 of our opening 7 league games drawing the 1st against Rayo before smashing 6 past Valencia and putting 4 past At Madrid in a decent first few months.

Look at Aboubakar for Real Madrid netting 18 league goals in his first 7 league games, hes definitely ready to take over from Ronaldo.

So along with Ter Stegen netting two more penalties in the past couple of months we had youngster Nicieza come into the side and play extremely well netting twice and assisting 5 more in 6 games.
In the Champions League we had a back and forth with Bayern as they beat us 3-0 in Germany before we got our revenge in a thrilling 5-3 win back in Spain before then beating Plzen in our 5th game of the group stages to confirm a place in the next round.
So in the league everything was going straight forward until Real Madrid came along, we won 7 out of 8 league games and each of them convincingly netting on average 4 goals a game but right at the end of October we faced Real Madrid at their place and they destroyed us with Ronaldo and Aboubakar both in fine form.

3 points clear of Real Madrid at the 15 game mark whilst Messi has caught up with Aboubakar in the goalscoring charts with 21 league goals already this season.

probably get him to play deeper.. the Xavi/Iniesta role, so he can play longer maybe..
I'd say he'd be great as an AP(S) at CM, his vision and passing is legendary!
time to keep him as your set piece taker, increase his assists, and a few goals.. let him try long shots often, his precision will come to proper use there, and as a result he might last a couple of years more...

Im hoping i can play him up top as a striker for a few more seasons, im currently at the end of Feb and he has 33 goals in 32 starts and 18 assists and is closing in on 35 years of age, hoping hes still here when hes 40 but yes a definite option is moving him back into midfield

So along with the Champions League result i already mentioned we beat a lower league team in the 1st leg of the Spanish Cup 4-0 so i put a youthful lineup in the second leg and in a shock result we lost 2-1.
I accidentally played the first game in January too but it went well with 3 impressive wins in the league amongst a money spinning friendly.

Hes brilliant for me especially with assists but he has seemed to lose his goalscoring touch in the last few seasons whereas Messi is still smashing them in.

So first off i sold 3 former or current first team players to save a bit of money on big wages, first was Thomas Vermaelen joining Saint Etienne for a small fee as at 36 years of age i wanted to give him the chance to play first team football, he played almost 250 games for us since i took over 6 and a half years ago.

I then let Pedro leave on a free transfer to Real Sociedad as again at 34 years old i wasnt giving him much game time and he was on over 100k a week, despite trying to sell him only days after taking over of Barcelona all those years ago he went on to play over 150 league games and net 60 odd goals.

So the big transfer out that may shock some of you was Martin Montoya joining Chelsea for £15Million, it was a good fee for a 30 year old he was on well over £100k a week for us to so i was glad to make a few quid on him too, Gedeon Perez is a ready made replacement and will now be our first choice RB

So we started off with a 4-0 win on aggregate against Villareal, before only drawing with Sevilla in the next round at our place before beating them 3-1 at their place and setting up a Semi Final against At Bilbao, we comfortably beat them 5-0 over two legs and secured yet another Cup Final against Real Madrid.

So along with the Cup Exploits we smashed Napoli 3-0 in the 1st leg of the Champions League knockout stages. It all went to pot in the league though as we won just 5 out of 8 league games losing to near rivals Valencia and At Madrid and drawing against Athletic Bilbao.

The Spanish Cup Final was pretty early on in the season this year and we lost it! We were 1-0 up just after the break before they equalized and then got a very late controversial penalty. This was the first Spanish Cup i havent won since taking over 7 Cups in 8 Seasons.

We did however fair better in the Champions League

We drew with Napoli 2-2 in the second leg to set up a Quarter Final against Liverpool, we drew with them 2-2 at our place before Messi put in an amazing performance back at their place to win 4-2 on aggregate.
We faced Chelsea in the Semi Finals, the team who have won the Champions League two years on the trot, and we beat them convincingly! 2-1 at their place then 1-0 back in Spain to set up a huge Final against last years runners up Juventus
