Bilbao win in thrilling Euro Super Cup final
Kings Cup (Spanish Super Cup) won too
Bilbao already have a 3pt lead at the top
Spain get two comfortable wins - Stuart under pressure apparently

A great month. Kicked it off with the win over Roma where we threw away a 3 goal lead in the last 30min and Alfredo had an injury time goal disallowed before netting the winner in extra time. Also in the games against Real Sociedad (league meeting) and Malaga we came back from a goal and a man down to win.

Spain qualify for the World Cup

The run carries on - got some good wins during the month. Could have been on the end of an upset against Cartagena when Valcarcel got sent off in the 4th minute but our class came through.

Club legend Jose Carlos Sanz was unhappy at not playing and I basically told him where to go so he promptly announced he would leave on a free in the summer - not so baby pup - Espanyol were stupid enough to pay cash for him although I will be paying 10k a week for 6 months.

Bilbao drop first points of the season against Real Zaragoza
Spain struggle past Iran but thump Japan

A good month apart from the draw against Real Zaragoza but fortunately Barca drew on the same day. Scored quite a few goals this month too. My backup players got a few appearances this season but my 3 AM's Herrera, Izurza and Perez Villarroya have been excellent when called upon.

Aitor Herrera announced his international retirement immediately after the Japan match and after a week of game time I text my mate and Bilbao saboteur from the previous night and he asked if he would reconsider. I comletely forgot about that and when I asked him to help us out he said yes!​

Spain get Czech. Republic, Ecuador and Honduras in the World Cup

Excellent month all told with another trophy thrown in for good measure. We thumped Almeria who in their next game thumped Barcelona 3-0! Really impressed with how Alcalde has been playing as he has scored 8 goals in 8 starts and all from the right wing!

We absolutely thumped Real Madrid and in the Club World Cup we put six past FAR Rabat before defeating Boca Juniors in the final.

It will be a sad day when Aitor does finally hang up his boots from football. Still loving the story, here is hoping you get your unbeaten season.

I think the first save I uploaded was in 2018-19 i am afraid - god knows where it is in this story but he was about 21-22 then

Redaelli wins both world player of the year awards

A busy month with 9 games crammed in. In the league we got good wins over Barcelona and Valencia but we threw away a 2 goal lead against bottom club Elche. In the Copa del Rey we recovered from losing the first leg 3-1 against Real Madrid to thump them 5-1. Substitute Ayechu netted twice late on to win it for us and he had one disallowed also.

FEBRUARY

Bilbao all but secured the league title already
Real Zaragoza will be our opponents in the Copa del Rey final
B team leading Liga Adelante
Spain get Scotland, Armenia, Switzerland and Azerbaijan in Euros qualifiers

A good month with some tough fixtures in it but we won every game so all is good! Even played a backup side in the Champions League match and got away with it! We currently have a 14pt lead at the top so I cant complain there and the B team are 5pts clear of the second division for good measure.

What leagues do you have loaded ? and the other database settings so you can get more basque players ?

Jose Luis Izurza looks like the new Aitor- not position wise obviously.

The top division in england, france, germany, holland, italy, portugal and scotland are view only and the database size is normal or large

any particular nations loaded ? i noticed the mexican you first signed on you first post wasnt on my game ang i have a large database
 
nope although it was an edited database at the time so i dunno if that made him appear or not - there were some games i played as Newcastle where Verratti was in it and in others he wasnt so I guess some players just appear sometimes
