i tried to do it but just setting up the game took forever and i gave up after like 45 mins lol

haha, yeah it takes awhile to load the database, but if you make it through that the game should still run pretty fast. I always just make a 'New Game' save after it loads and before i pick a team. that way i dont have to wait for 20 minutes every time i start a new game.
 
My computer is an epic struggle - WOW. I run small database with league 2 and up and my game speed is half a star.

I can run FM, Opera Internet, iTunes and MSN all at once, and my PC is fine. Dont think there is any need to run all leagues at once, I would only ever choose up to 15 anyway.
 
It works alright, alot slower than just the 1-3 leagues I usually play. Not snail-speed but it takes about 10-20 seconds longer to per day depending on the time of the season. I play the game on a Mac Mini with 2 processors in case you're wondering. I find that there's a lot more regens (naturally!) and the game gets alot easier what with all the quality players and backroom staff being available and/or generated. If you're into LLM-games WITHOUT CHEATING this is the way to go. In 2-3 seasons you can be riding on a wave of promotions and being killer of giants in various cups far easier than with just running the English league. The boards are easier to handle if you need expansions or upgrades of facilities. They're much more likely to let you scout outside your immediate surroundings i.e Great Britain. Also I find that there is ALOT mot more cash to go around, atleast if you manage your expenses.
 
It is the first time that I have tried this, but it works on my computer! I totally underestimated my Core 2 Duo, as I am on the net and listening to music at the same time. Makes me think that 8 processors are overkill.
I am very interested in the possibilities of this new venture.

if by overkill you mean i can watch an HD movie on one screen, play football manager on the other, listen to music, browse the internet and play another pc game all at the same time and in 1900 x 1200 resolution, then yeah i guess it is a little over the top.... haha (H)

seriously though, being able to multi-task so much changes the way you use a computer

i wouldnt play another game while focusing on FM either, i was just giving an example. Ive yet to max out this new comp yet so i just keep trying to come up with things to throw at it.

(if you dont play other pc games ignore this part) Ive even tried running crysis on max settings with fm simulating in the background. For 1500 bucks im blown away by what it can do.
 
Alienware is for noobs, you should just build your own like normal people who want awesome PC's! :D

On my current game I'm running 12 leagues from 8 countries, could easily run more but I only like it when the star ratings are both on 4 or higher not that I would imagine it to run much slower on 1 star its just a habit.

And to the guys who say "my PC can't even run MSN + FM" just add some RAM, it's cheap and easy to install and would dramatically increase the amount of programmes you can have open at one time.

On my silly little HP Laptop. The speed can sometimes drag a bit, but otherwise it works just fine!

my beautiful HP custom made laptop cost me a bomb but it is immense (well it was, getting on a bit now) I can go on MSN, load up a couple of videos on megavideo etc and still play FM with no problems although I usually run about 7 leagues on a large database. but the screeenlight on my lappy went :(
