I'd dropped the 2 wingers in CWB with great sucess, still tinkering but def looks a bit more solid.. will carry on.

A quick feedback from me.

I feel that this tactic needs further tweaking, and I agree with others that post here.
I have tried this tactic and followed OP reccomendation. Most of my players are world class.
I win some games, but I can't keep a clean sheet even versus small teams. Fast teams, like Arsenal, score easily on fast counter attacks. My CB and WM are fast, but that doesn't help, they are able to trace back but not defend. Usually during counter attack all my CB's just close down the man with the ball, leaving gaps in defense, then there is a pass in empty space and 1vs1 situation.
For me 3 CB's with those duties don't work, and WM's seem to be too offensive. Seeing the results that others have, I think this tactic has a lot of potential because it is awesome offensively, maybe some small tweaks will make defense stronger.

Im not sure if this had been said before but, I noticed with me Derby save when I played Tom Ince in the RM position he was scoring alot of goals, not sure how much of this was sheer luck or the fact he is left footed and has the PPM CUT INSIDE. Anyone else noticed this at all ?

Shaqiri had scored a lot for me as well. He has the PPM cut inside and is strong on both feet, so yeah I guess that's it.

The tactic had started to stabilize for me and I had been picking up wins on a more consistent basis and is sitting 2nd behind Juve in the league, but I have only gotten 2 clean sheets in 20 league games. The defense is really leaky and I will put the blame on my CBs being slow for now. Not a tactic for anyone who likes a solid defense.

I decided to give this tactic a go on a new Everton save. I use the Dline tweak. Train Attacking movement for home games and Def. Positioning for away.
Got to say the tactic is working great for me. Baines and Coleman are beast in the wing positions, and I currently sit 2nd in the league in December. I have drawn a few, but only lost to Spurs away. Sold Peinaar and Gibson and bought Lucas Romero, and Cassano on a free, other than that no transfers.
A word to the wise, this tactic will only work if you have wingers that can tackle. I tried Mirallas on the right at first and it didnt work. You need wing backs in these roles ideally.

Tactic is wildly inconsistent. I know that Inter isn't anywhere close to being a good team in FM, but while using this tactic it is either me winning convincingly or getting brutally destroyed by some random clubs (Chievo? Everton? Sassuolo? Ugh...).

The biggest problem I think is with the 3 CBs. There is something wrong with them because even when I win they rarely get good ratings. It doesn't help that Handanovic is out for 4 months right off the bat (FM is amazing sometimes) and Carrizo had been terrible, but getting blown out 5-0 by Everton and 4-1 by Sassuolo is something I don't really expect. And my strikers hardly scores, although my wingers are playing really well. There are games when they did not even took a single shot.

I will try switching it to counter to see how it works. I am using the one with D-line tweak atm.

I lost to Stoke 5-2 away and Man City 2-1 away, they are my only defeats with Newcastle first season after I think 18-20 games played. I am Still 2nd position in the league.

My CB's don't get good ratings either this is true

Last game I played ended up being an 8-2 win at home over Manchester City......the tactic can be devastating but like any other tactic I don't believe you can be completely plug and play with it.....including being able to switch a different formation during the game
PS Using the tweaked version, one of my MC is playing as a DLP; the hardest games ( like this one ) I tend to play Gibbs on the left, on the right Debuchy or Bellerin or Ox with a counter mentality.

Dominated the league with Fiorentina :

Defensively this tactic is weak, but I'm unsure of a tweak that could improve the defence?

thnx broeckie, i found them!

anyone play with this tactic? i play with the attack tactic, and with big teams (juventus, man utd) it is a amazing tactic, but with a smaller team i conceded a lot of goals!

I do, but I play with the D line tweaked version, counter and have done very well with the tactic playing Arsenal; I don't use the tactic all the time especially when I see that the opposite team counters very fast or has great wingers/wb
I don't believe in ONE tactic per team so I have been rotating it with a 4-1-3-2 tactic that works wonders for Arsenal
