Well mate, finally got round to finishing my season, and im impressed with your tactic.

I started using the tactic after the Stennie game where I lost 1-3, I won the league by a good margin. The game I lost 2-3 to Inverness, I was 3-0 down at half time so was unlucky. Going to keep using this as I think it will help me in the Championship. I also added my 2 best games, beat East Fife 6-2 and Rangers 5-1 (yes was a friendly to raise funds and not go 14 days without a fixture.)

Just noticed, 5 of the 6 league defeats were before I used this tactic.

I will post when I can. I start my 2 weeks on at work tomorrow, so Not sure when I will be able to play.

I do use oi's strikers are set to tackle hard and show onto weaker foot plus midfielders are set to be closed down always.

Training is balanced and attacking movement, players are all on individual training for their specific roles.

He was actually my back up AP, had to retrain him. He was behind Ross Forbes but always shined when I played him. He ended up being first choice with a new contract lol. He scored between 15 and 20 goals all together tho cant remember at the mo.

Currently packing my gear and stuff so prob wont get a chance to play till Im on the train. I will update my progress best I can over the next 2 weeks tho screenies will be at a minimum till I get home. Really excited about this tactic and I think i can go on to dominate Scottish football with it.

I have adopted this tactic to my first season with Juve and wow. I am at work right now but from what i can rememeber ive played about 11 games in the league and won them all inc Roma, Napoli and AC Milan. Alot of clean sheets and never conceeding more than one in the other games. In the champs league group ive won away to Arsenal (clean sheet), beaten Galatasaray twice and Real Sociedad once at home. All the players get good ratings in the matches more often than not. Fantastic so far!

Not tested it with a lower league team but it should work fine as its very solid defensively but still creative...what team are you goin to test the tatic with? Let me know how you get on

your tactic is not good dude, regardless of your 12 years of expereince. Pass into space will make all your players make risky passess, which can work only if you are faster than they are, otherwise it will lead to balls getting intercepted and many shots on your goal...also, with balanced philosophy, your forward players, and you have plenty of them, wont return to help defence, and you will be easily outnumbered...

NO.

1. Pass into space is THE team instruction that works a treat in FM14.
2. He does NOT have too many forward players (tho I would make the dlp defend and the bwm support for better balance) and in any case the player duties correct what you claim.

I've had quite a bit of trouble with David's tactic with conceding pretty much every game regardless of how bad the opponent is, defence struggling to play the ball out and lots of stupid passes in the middle of the pitch like players trying to switch it who don't have the PPM, weak passes not meeting the man, lower possession.

I've started over with Arsenal again so any tips for preparation as i just left it to the *** man last time? Should pre-season be purely tactics as i have it for fitness currently.

I think it might be Mertesacker, ive had problems with him making mistakes and getting beaten to crosses, is he just too slow for this set up or would it be worth dropping the defence deeper?

I think i need a new BWM or striker but can't decide which as i have ~?20m left to either go two cheap or one big signing. Any recommendations for either? I know i can get Matuidi on the cheap but i'd kind of like to add some more height to deal with corners better. I'm thinking of adding Depay too for around ?8m as another LW if i can get more money from the board.

Hoosier7 cant understand why your players would switch the ball my players never do that, was you scoring many goals?

Lars Bender is a world class bmw was my first signing much better suited to the postion than arteta, maybe mertesacker is too slow vermaelen and koscielny worked well for me.

Pre-season match prep should tactics only to get your team fluid with new tactic as fast as possible.

I've given it a try, had match prep to tactics, picked up Khedira and tried playing Balanta in Mertesacker's place and went on to lose 4-1 to Southampton :/

I'll stick with it for a couple more games as i've made a lot of signings that need gelling but i don't get what's having me leak so many goals.

Cant understand whats goin on with ur defence :-(....im playing as Arsenal got Balanta and Vermaelen at the back and its been water tight, same for the guy playing as juve.

Did u download and import the tactic or copy it from my screenshot? Did u make any changes to it?

As you are a top team you could change from control to attacking see if it improves.

Right i've managed to patch things up, still getting the odd flurry of conceded goals that have only been rescued by some crazy comebacks. It was mainly big target men types that gave me trouble, Ricky Lambert and Llorente both completely tore me up until i went on the counter, deep defensive line and Mertesacker to man mark. That and away games which have been sorted by going rigid and either contain or counter and some defensive set piece preparation. Think Khedira and Szczesny's rapid improvement might have helped and the odd passes have stopped.

I might try switching Mertesacker out next season, his lack of pace seems to give him problems recovering and he's given away a goal or two from playing out from the back.

Front line is brilliant now, didn't make a single change there. Insigne is on fire coming off the LW and Theo's the same on the right. Batshuayi doesn't get as many goals but pulls out a lot of assists and whilst he's inconsistent Ozil has pulled out some world class performances.

It's minimised losses so i'm get more draws where there had been defeats so i'm much happier. Muriel's not been great up top so i'll have to try switching the role there as he's my backup.
