Super Money Stars Only Just See Off Blackpool

Manchester-City-players-c-002.jpg

Manchester City could only beat Blackpool 1-0 at Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool 0-1 Manchester City
Tranquillo Barnetta (2)

A Strong defence from Blackpool prevented a big defeat against the premier league money stars, as Manchester City could only come away with a 1-0 victory.

With Blackpool expected to get nothing out of the game, I suppose Dan Carter will be happy with only a 1-0 loss? Many teams play Manchester City and most of the time, get put under serious pressure and end up loosing 3-0 so to loose 1-0 against the big names I think is a credit to the defence.

Blackpool started the game poorly, and went 1-0 down after only 2 minutes. A Tranquillo Barnetta goal securing the victory for the sky blues. A winnable game next for Blackpool against West Brom.

Nothing Separates Tangerines & Baggies

Blackpool & West Brom Battle It At Bloomfield

Blackpool 2-2 West Brom
Marlon Harewood (7), Alex John Baptiste (76) - Ishmael Miller (66), Steven Reid (88)

Neither West Brom Or Blackpool could take the points at Bloomfield Road this afternoon, with West Brom claiming a lucky last minute goal to salvage a draw.

The game started brighly for Blackpool, Marlon Harewood picking up a loose ball in the Baggies defence to slot home with his head from 4 yards, a real poachers effort. West Brom kept plugging away and got an Equaliser on 66 minutes through Ishmael Miller.

Quick, High Temo passing from Blackpool resulted in their second, when Baptiste stuck from 25 yards to send Blackpool into raptures only for Steven Reid to end the party on 88 minutes to salvage a draw.

Blackpool Crash At Arsenal But Victorious Against The Hammers

Charlie Adam Celebrates The Winner Against The Hammers

Arsenal 3-1 Blackpool
Maroune Chamakh (24), David Luiz (28, 73) - Marlon Harewood (80)

Blackpool were unable to cause a upset at The Emirates against Arsenal, trouncing to a 3-1 defeat at the hands or Arsene Wenger's footballing side.

The game was settled on 28 minutes, Blackpool 2-0 down by a Chamakah goal, while David Luiz opening his account for the season. Blackpool fought well however, and defended respectfully well but couldn't keep out Luiz for his second goal of the game, while Harewood struck a consolation goal for The Seasiders.

Blackpool 2-1 West Ham
David Vaughan (27), Charlie Adam (Pen, 32) - Frederic Piquionne (27)

Blackpool actually reacted well to defeat, taking on The Hammers in their next fixture and got a surprising first victory of the season. David Vaughan struck first from 20 yards, to put Blackpool ahead while Piquionne equalised a minute later on 27 minutes.

It was up to the Captain, Charlie Adam to settle the game with a penalty on 32 minutes to give Blackpool their first victory of the season in some fashion against Avram Grants team.

Respectful Draw For The Seasiders

1272742286_spt_ai_stoke_everton_32.jpg

Blackpool Frustrate Everton With A Last Minute Goal

Everton 2-2 Blackpool
Louis Saha (66, 80) - David Goodwillie (15), Charlie Adam (Pen, 95)

Blackpool claimed a respectful draw against Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon, a late Charlie Adam penalty saved the day for the Seasiders.

Blackpool left Goodison Park this afternoon, like they had beaten Manchester United. A respectful draw against Everton seems like a victory to the seaside club, and what a great feeling for them.

Charlie Adam struck a last mintue penalty to save the points for Blackpool and left the travelling 1,500 fans happy.. although they now have to play Aston Villa next, which will not be easy..

Aston Villa 2-0 Blackpool

Gabby Aboglahor (17, 45)

As expected, a tough game at Villa park ending in a defeat with Gabby Aboglahor's pace causing the Blackpool defence all sorts of problems, and not very much work done up front for the seasiders. Stoke away next for Blackpool, yet another tough game..

Carter Slams Sh** Blackpool - "We Are Awful"

10__Stoke_celebrate_658855a.jpg

Stoke Celebrate Victory Against Blackpool

Stoke 1-0 Blackpool
Marmandy Sidibie (11)

In an interview with Blackpool Boss, Daniel Carter, it has emerged he was caught saying "Our team has no desire, we can't string two *****ng passes together, we are totally sh**." Reports have told us Carter was unaware that he was still miced up and was unaware he could still be heard.

Carter was thought to be angry with his teams performance, with his team taking one shot on target at the Stoke goal for the whole match. Carter said a lot of blame can be given to the manager, but when your players can't do the basics it calls for some organisation from the team captain to be taken.

Carter has since apologised for his words, and has said it was a spur of the moment thing and would work to get a result against Blackburn in their next home game.

Nothing like putting a bit of pressure on yourself ahead of a home game v Blackburn lol

good layout mate, il defo be following this.

Blackpool's Poor Form Continues

_45155784_warnock_pa416.jpg

Blackpool 1-1 Blackburn
Lydovic Sylvestre (17) - Mame Diouf (33)

Another poor performance, another annoyed manager, what more could go wrong for Blackpool? Carter give's us his thoughts..

The game was a poor one, as it was on sky sports tv, I doubt the viewings were that high if the truth must be said. Both teams looked poor in possession, Blackburn looked to defend and hold on for a draw which is dissapointing.

Carter Said -
"Well, what a shambles? We couldn't beat ourselves out of a wet paper bag? Many of the players say I'm harsh, but what do they want? kisses on their cheek's and for me to tell them well done, quite frankly, the money their paid they should be at least beating teams like Blackburn, who come to us to defend and play off our mistakes. It's shocking!"

Can I see the League table mate. It was always going to be a real challenge

good luck with this, nice layout and another Danny Carter ;)

Good story so far, love the writing. Even if you do get relegated, you'll have a couple of years to consolidate. :)

Manager's Overview: League Table & Performances

0,,10432~5913269,00.jpg
Carter speaks to Blackpool's official website on things so far.
With 7 league games gone and 2 cup matches we decided to track Daniel Carter down and give us his thoughts on the current League Table and the performances his team have produced as of late.

Carter has seen his side produce performances worthy of staying out of the relegation zone so far, and find themselves in a very respectful 14th place. Carter's men have been tipped 100% favourites to go down, and were given no chance of survival. However with a few summer signings and a strengthened squad, Blackpool have been playing above expectations.

We caught up with Carter exclusive to Blackpool iPlayer, he said :-

"Obviously I was dissapointed the other day, and maybe I went about it the wrong way. I always set my standards high, and maybe I didn't realise the tough task ahead, and expected too much? I don't know. But all I can say is I'm sorry for recent events and what a mighty task you lads have done already. I'd like to thank all the players for working hard, but the season is only just beginning, we must carry it on now till the end, and too answer all of your questions.. Yes, we will proove the bookies and the doubters wrong. Bring on the challenge!"

Carter was very confident of a survival this season, and pleaded that everything he has in his "tank" would be used to help Blackpool not only for himself, but the club, the city, and everyone involved.

Performance leaves Carter fuming at Sunderland

_45142445_richardson_pa416.jpg

Sunderland trounced shocking Blackpool.

Sunderland 6-2 Blackpool
Darren Bent (6, 21, 25, 42, 66), Ahmed Al Mohammed (72) - David Goodwillie (14), Jay Simpson (63)

Yet another loss, another performance against Sunderland which Carter says "We don't want it!" - we need to improve.

Daniel Carter has watched his men run out losers again today, and he claimed the lacklustre performances of "going through the motions" when sometimes they would turn up, and play very well and other's they would just turn over and accept defeat. Carter was left angry once again, and Carter says his side must improve to stay up, who now fall back to 18th.

Blackpool on the end of two extra defeats

article-1241926-07CED3EA000005DC-975_468x327.jpg

Birmingham celebrate victory against Blackpool

Birmingham 2-0 Blackpool
Wes Hoolahan (pen, 37), Nikola Zijic

Two extra defeats for Blackpool against Birmingham and Chelsea send them down to 19th in the league table.
Blackpool fall to 19th in the league after a loss against Birmingham. A very dissapointing performance ended in defeat for Carter, and his Blackpool side just can't pass the ball. Carter has worked on it in training, but during games they just don't seem to be able to do it? Is Carter to blame for Blackpool's mis-fortunes?

Blackpool 0-2 Chelsea
Demba Ba (8), Yossi Benayoun (37)

Chelsea also struck defeat on Blackpool, to send them to 19th with a dissapointing home defeat. Blackpool look worthless in the premier league, and need to improve drastically.

-----------------

(Out of story -- no affence Blackpool fans, your team is ****! I took Swansea to the premier league on my other save, they weren't as bad as this. You can't even pass the ball)

To bad, you could stick with it for just a little longer.

don't get me wrong when I said that.. I'm continuing with the story, but flip' are they bad. can't pass the ball, ha.

you should to contiune with your story mate, just need a run of games.
