BBC Sport can confirm that Blyth Spartans manager Tommy Cassidy has taken it upon himself to leave the club as contract negotiations had broke down.
Blyth Spartans are now looking for a new manager, leading the way in the possible replacements for Cassidsy is Gordie Legend Paul Gascoigne,
Marcos Alonso and Peter Weatherson.

Braking News

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce to the press and the public that there search for a new manager is over!

Blyth reveled today that Cassidys replacement is Peter Weatherson. Weatherson is relativity new to the management side of the game but does know the "Ins and outs" of the game as he played for another local team, Hartlepool United.

Weatherson's first press conference

Sky Sports News were in attendence today as newly appointed Blyth Spartans manager Peter Weatherson held his first press conference. During the conference he was asked many different questions but the three that stodd out to use were;

A Local Reporter asked "Will you change any of the Backroom staff or are there jobs safe?"
Weatherson replied with "There is a very strong set of backroom staff here currently, none of there jobs shall be in any danger BUT they may be finding that they may get a few more members of staff to work with."

A writer for the Evening Chronicle asked "Will you be involved with the Day to Day running of the club?"
Weatherson replied "I will try to be as active as i can with the running of the club."

The Fans Spokesperson for the club asked "The past few seasons haven't been Inspiring for Blyth, do you think you can change this?"
Weatherson replied "I believe with the right tactics and the right investment this team can go very far. With my local knowledge I can bring in some more experienced players who have 'Got the T-shirt' to help with our title push this year."


 
Good start, I'll following. I currently just started my second season with Blyth after winning the title and the fa trophy in my first season.

New Spartans Signings To Meet The Media

Peter Weatherson unvailed his two new signings (Stuart Giddings and Sergio Sanchez) today at Blyth's ground Croft Park. Weatherson said "I said in my first press conference that i would bring in some more experienced players and i have done so with Stuart." he went on to say "Sergio looks to be a grate prospect for the future, with his levels of determination its hard to say how well he will do here at Blyth."

One of the main talking points of the conference was "Who else is coming in?". Weatherson was keeping his cards very close to his chest but he isn't ruling out any more signings. he did say "I am currently looking at a number of players to strengthen my current squad, building for the future with players that will grow."

Weatherson reviles new players!

Peter Weatherson sat in the crowded press room with his five new signings. Weatherson said "We are building for the future here at Blyth, we are looking to give a good foundation for these young players."

A local reporter asked "So Peter, who are these new players and how did you find them?"
Weatherson Replied "We have some of the best you talent in the North-East sat here with me today, we have Stephen Stirling, Thomas Lyskov, Fergus Bell, Lewis Whiteley and Steven Lozano-Calderon. All of these players were scouted from local clubs. These young players shouldn't be thanking me for signing them, they should be thanking there managers for telling me about there talents."

Another local reporter asked "You have made seven signings now, can we expect any more?"
Weatherson replied "Dont rule it out. If I see someone with the right skill-set I will try to bring them into the club"​

Blyth Spartans Pre-season review

Before Blyths Pre-season even started they were feeling hard done by. There former manager Cassidy decided to leave the club due to contract problems. This then open the door for a new manager, after only one day they found a replacement, Peter Weatherson.

The matches that were set up for Pre-season were changed to suit Peter. The fixtures and results were as followed;

With only one win the Blyth manager told the press "The games were good, the players were good. The results dont show how well the players performed, all of them played extremely well." Weatherson also went on to say "I believe that the bad results were because of the team starting to gel, as the results show."

Blyths first league game


Blyth Spartans made a promising start to the season with an excellent win against Droylsden at Croft Park on Saturday.

The first half of the match was very boring, with no real chances been created for both teams. The second half was alot more entertaining, Droylsden opened the scoring with an simple tap from Cairan Kilheeney on 48 minutes. The game was in there hand until the 71st minute when Jamie Mole scored from the outside of the box. Blyth then scored again in the 88th with a fantastic diving header from Carl Jones. The match was settled when Chris Brown of Droylsden brung down Jamie Mole in the box, this resulted in a penalty to Blyth which was converted by Jamie Mole.

Blyth Spartans, the late goal specialists

Blyth played there second league game of the season today, away at Solihull Moors.

The match began with a moment of controversy as Blyth have a goal disallowed for offside, moments later more controversy as Blyth had a penalty denied.
With the match coming to an end, Blyth sprung into life. Jamie Mole scoring on the 93 minute. Blyth are hoping to carry this momentum into the next match on Saturday against Boston at York Street.

Just After the game Blyth manager was pleased to announce the signing of Reece Fleet. Weatherson said to the press "I am delighted to welcome Reece to the club." he went on to say "I believe that he will make an instant impact at the club."



 
nice start, i had a blyth spartan save on fm11, took to them to league2 and lost interest, hopefully you can do it, and check out brob's tactic, it helped me win promotion with leicester,

Blyth hit Boston for four!

Blyth Spartans played Boston today at York Street.

After a quite restrained start to the game, Blyth sprung into action in the 6th minute with a simple tap in from Furgus Bell. Blyth then sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere of a large crowd at York Street until just before half time when they gave Boston something to think about over the brake with a 35 yard strike from Steven Sterling. The second half started exactly how the first half ended. Another goal, a 30 yard strike from Furgus Bell fired Blyth into a 3-0 lead. The game was settled in the last five minuets with another simple tap in from Furgus Bell.

Blyth hit Altrincham for SIX!

A close fought match ended in a one sided result at Croft Park this weekend, with Blyth ending up as the victors.

Midfielder Shaun Vipond gave Blyth the lead with a tidy finish in the 27th minute. Jamie Mole then doubled Blyths lead with and accurate finish in the 31st minute. Furgus Bell then scored a perfectly judged curling shot just before the whistle. Thirty seconds into the second half Blyth added another to the total with another goal form there emphatic striker Jamie Mole. Altrincham then hit back in the 70th minute with a header from Matthew Flyyn. The Furgus Bell show then rolled into to town when he scored on the 73rd minute, showing real self confidence to slot the ball in the back of the net. He then then scored a close range volley in the 89th minute.

This good run of form help Blyth with there promotion push this season, leaving them top of the table with four games played.

5 Start Blyth over run Hyde


Another hard fought game for Blyth as they came out on top in a five goal thriller at Ewen Fields.

Blyths center back Carl Jones got the game off to a flying start as he scored with a diving header on the 4th minute. Shaun Vipond then doubled Blyths lead with a deflected effort from long range on 27 minutes. Jamie Mole then added a third with a powerful effort from outside the box. The brake came and went with Blyth carrying the same momentum they ended the first half with. On 63 minutes Blyth scored a fluke goal with Carl Jones, Hyde defenders trying to clear the loose ball but striking the Blyth player. the final goal came from the man of the moment, Shaun Vipond with a powerful effort from outside the box.

This win puts Blyth joint top of the Blue Square North on 15 points.

Blyth suffer first league defeat

Dispite Blyth having the better game they were unable to cash in there chances as they went down 3-0 against FC Halifax.

Things didn't get off to a good start for Blyth as young striker Javlon Campbell seized on an error from Blyth defender Wayne Buchanan to score a well placed shot. FC Halifax's captin doubled there lead on 85 minutes with a long range shot. Javlon Campbell then wrapped it up with a tap in from close range in the final minutes.

Weatherson brings in experience

Blyth manager Peter Weatherson today relieved his new addition to his team.

Martin Camano, an experienced center back who has previously played at Dunfermline and Silgo Rovers.
Weatherson said "It gives me grate pleasure to welcome Martin to the club. In my opinion he could be one of the best players in the league."
He went on to say "He brings a wealth of experience to the club."

Blyth win in a tight encounter

Blyth played Workington today in the Blue Square North, the two team have been tipped for relegation this season but both are over-achieving at this time.
The only goal of the game came in the 56 minute when young striker Furgus Bell scored his 6th of the season with a powerful finish from close range.

Blyth cruise to victory over Gloucester


Blyth Spartans played a conserved game this weekend against Gloucester at Croft Park.
Blyth opened the scoring in the first half with a diving header from Carl Jones on the 32nd minute. Blyth then doubled there lead on the 39th minute with a close range finish from young striker Furgus Bell. It took until the last minutes for Gloucester to hit back, experienced center back Matt Coupe with a header from close range on 88 minutes.

Blyth win again

Blyth Spartans played against Guiseley at Croft Park today and came out victorious.

Furgus Bell has hit a spell of form over the last few games, scoring 7 goals in the last 9 games. He improved that record today with the two goals he scored. the first of which came in the 35th minute, showing composure to finish well inside the box. his second came 30 seconds into the second half as he scored a well placed shot from outside the box.

This win leaves Blyth second in the Blue Square North.

Blyth win four on the bounce!

Blyth played Vauxhall today at Rivacre Park at came out of the game victorious.

Blyth opened the scoring on the 7th minute with a lovely passing move started and finished by there young striker Furgus Bell. Blyth then doubled there lead soon after with a superb solo effort from Jamie Mole. Blyth didnt create many more chances after that, even though they have the majority of the possession. Vauxhall hit back in the 73rd minute with a headed goal from Paul Jones but it was to little to late for them.
