Bohemian F.C. : Europe around the corner?

Hey everyone. I'm back :D
Some of you might remember me from about a year ago when I was active on the forums but we got rid of the internet for nearly a year since then. Just got it back a few days ago and have got FM 10 so I decided I would try to repeat or do even better than my successes with Boh's on FM 09 where I got them to the Champions League.

I am in January 2010 (Irish Pre-Season) playing 9.2 database with 1 editor data, which enables the Irish lower leagues and has the real competition names.

Starting Budgets :

Transfer : 18k

Wage : 11.25k p/w

Starting Expectations :

Minimum expectation is that I win the league.

Here we go. . . .
I have just started with Boh's and was hoping that the transfer of Brian Murphy to Ipswich wouldn't be on FM 10 yet but he moves on 01.01.10 :( so my first job was to find some who could wear the gloves of the man who was the best keeper in the League Of Ireland. After a short search, I found Cameron Bell (Kilmarnock sub-keeper) and I snapped him up for 17.5k + clauses. Transfer budget gone already :D Scouring the foreign low leagues for free transfers at the moment.

My key players :

Gary Deegan (Classy centre mid who nearly moved to Ipswich in r/l), Brian Shelley (Solid Right Back that Boh's snapped up from Drogheda Utd when they lost all their money), Liam Ryan (An amazing left mid regen who is already one of my best players even though he's only 15!!!!), Cameron Bell (Not quite Brian Murphy but the nearest thing to him in my opinion, quality keeper!)

Yeah it's a long shot but maybe after 60 or 70 seasons... :D See you're a Finn Harps fan...always liked them because of my name :D Unlucky last season but i think they're gonna do a lot better this season
 
As a Bohs fans I'll certainly be following this. I once got them into the CL group stages a couple of times in FM08. Might give it a go myself whenever my Fergie story finishes. Good luck finn

Thanks! Boh's have always been my favourite big team in the LOI and I love managing them on FM. Saw them play against the Youths once and they were as always incredible to watch
 
Killian Brennan's my fav player for Bohs in real life and in FM.

Good luck with Bohs, Gary Deegan is a class player for this level.
 
Yeah Killian Brennan is def my fave Boh's player. He's pure class. Got a regen on this called Liam Ryan who is already just above Brennan's ability even though he's only 15!! Its mental ha!

Yeah in my few adventures in our native league the regens are amazing for the level. Often at the same ability as the first teamers at 15 like you said!

Another Youths fan on FM Base>? :O Wow! haha

Yeah Gary Deegan is def one of the best players in LOI

Bohemians have completed the signing of 17 year old centre back Jack Lampe on a free transfer from West Ham.

O'Brien Sacked
Bohemians assistant manager, Liam O'Brien, was today sacked by mutual termination of his contract.

New Assistant Manager
Ex Coventry Director of Football, John Murtough, has today signed as the new Bohemians assistant manager. He had previously been at Fulham and Everton as a youth coach.

Leinster Senior Cup First Round Draw
30 times winners, Bohemians have been drawn away to first division side, Athlone Town in the first round of the Leinster Senior Cup
