Thanks Shootie :D I'm just about to post an extra update for March! Just had it done only my internet disconnect :@

Bohemians' Crowe wins Player of the month award
Bohemian F.C.'s experienced striker Glen Crowe has wowed the fans at Dalymount Park this month with some outstanding performances and has duly won the Irish Player of the Month.
The 32 year old striker has really demonstrated to everyone what a capable player he is over the past few weeks.
With not much to choose between the top three, Cork City's Iain Williamson took second place and John Kennedy of Bohemians came third.

March boss award for Manolo
Cork City's Manolo has won the Irish Premier Division Manager of the Month award.
The award was made after the Rebel Army boss led his team to four league victories in their last six games.
(IPD) Cork City 4 - 1 Fingal (7th Mar)
(IPD) Cork City 2 - 0 Galway Utd (12th Mar)
(IPD) Cork City 2 - 0 Drogheda Utd (19th Mar)
(IPD) Cork City 1 - 0 Sligo Rovers (27th Mar)

There was nothing to choose between the top three and the award could easily have gone to either Bohemians' Finn O'Leary or Seán Connor from Dundalk, who came second and third respectively.

Glen Crowe player of the month? I'll ask again. Is this the same Glen Crowe that was on Bohemian A and transfer listed when I arrived? lol
Me? Second!? :O It will have to do for now :P Thats only because he played for Athletico anyway :P We all know I'm better than Manolo....I think :D

Glen Crowe...The epic comeback story :D.

Any chance you could show us a league table?

Screenshots still won't work :(

QUICK UPDATE :

Bohemians 3-1 UCD

Bohemians 3-0 Drogheda Utd

Going great! Getting about 4 or 5 players on team of the week every time lol
Glen Crowe, Jason Byrne, Joseph Ndo and Killian Brennan are players that definately deserve a mention as class performers at the moment! Matt Gregg has been class in goal as Cameron Bell has been injured for the last 4 weeks.

New Signings :

Alessandro Cammarieri (20 year old CM) and Massimiliano Barrafranca (21 year old DR)
Two Italian free agents that my scout (Barry Whitbread) found on his travels in Italy.
Cammarieri got a superb assist on his debut against Drogheda + 7.5 rating. Not bad at all.
Also Gary Deegan is playing superb stuff in centre mid!

The Crowe who soars without wings
bohs_202707t.jpg

Glen Crowe is playing amazing with 6 goals in 9 appearances in the league. Lets just hope he can keep it up! The 7.37 average rating says it all at the moment.

IrishPremierDivision-2.png

Yeah the games in hand are a pity but I think they're playing each other for one of them so maybe one of them will cancel the other out....or better a draw! :D
On a massive winning streak and unbeaten in all competitions! Going well :D

New Objective : 1st Season : Domestic Treble

Manager of the Month :D

All my league results of the last month are included there.

Other Results :

EA Sports Cup 2nd Round : Bohemians 2-0 Mervue Utd
A good win in the league cup for my 2nd XV team.

Leinster Senior Cup 2nd Round : Bohemians 2-0 Wexford Youths
Played a full team and the Wexford Youths played class stuff! Just thanks to some class performances from Barrafranca, Cammarieri and Jason Byrne we managed to outclass my local club.

Aiming big with the domestic treble I see ;), hope you can do it and take Bohs into later stages in European competition!

Youths lost :(

Yeah I should be able to do it! But thats aiming to low as I could easily win the Leinster Senior Cup so...

NEW OBJECTIVE : FIRST SEASON : DOMESTIC QUADRUPLE
Irish Premier Division
FAI Cup
EA Sports Cup
Leinster Senior Cup

Yeah I didn't like beating the Youths but business is business :(

Signings Update : 19 year old Jack Payne (MC) will be arriving in the summer at the end of his contract from Gillingham.
17 year old Jacob Walcott (AML/C FC) will also be arriving in the summer when his contract ends at Reading.
As you know Tom Cleverley will also be arriving from Man Utd.

Leinster Senior Cup Third Round : TBD
FAI Cup Second Round : Waterford United (Away)
EA Sports Cup Third Round : Athlone Town (Home)

The Big Plan
Here it is...the latest of my big plans that work the odd time lol. I have scoured every national team in both North and South America and have checked out every player on the national squads who is not at a club. Any players that look half decent have been given a trial. There a some real class players and so far I have secured the contract of one player and am waiting on work permits for numerous others who are on trial.

Signed : Edwin Alberto Villafuerte. 31 year old goalkeeper with 17 caps for Ecuador snapped up on a free. My assistant reckons he is a lot better than Cameron Bell who I signed at the start of the season!

I am waiting on work permits for the signings of Julio Castro, Sergio Mendoza and Hernan Sandoval. There are around 6-8 players on trial and I am waiting on the acceptance of a few contracts so I'll keep you all posted!

UPDATE :

Leinster Senior Cup Quarter Final Draw :
We have drawn Shamrock Rovers in the quarter final at home! Should be a great game and hopefully close to a sell-out for the big derby!

Results :

Sligo Rovers 1-2 Bohemians

Bohemians 0-0 Cork City

The Big Derby : Shamrock Rovers

After a 1-1 draw with St. Pat's at Dalymount, a 1-0 away win over Dundalk at Oriel, a useless 1-1 cup draw in Waterford at the RSC and a re-play victory of 2-0 at home it was the time for the match that had been on everyones minds for weeks. The Shamrock Rovers game at Dalymount Park.
With Boh's still unbeaten at the top of the league, Rovers are only 3 points behind with a game in hand so this match is massive for both teams. The lads have been training hard all season but never harder than over the last three days. The morale in camp is high and everyone at this club wants this just as much as I do.
I listen at the door for a minute before I enter the dressing room and instead of the usual chanting and slagging that this squad loves before games there is an eery silence. I slowly open the door and walk in only to be greeted by a cheer that could heard in my home county Wexford! This is more like it! The lads are geared up and ready to go...ready to play one of the biggest matches of the season, the match that the fans want more than any other. It was 1-1 all in Tallaght so could this home game be our chance to get one over the hoops and secure our position at the top? John Murtough is going around to indivisual players getting them motivated and giving advice for the game ahead. I leave all the tactical bullsh*t to John. Where would I be without him?
The lads are on their feet jumping around the place, egging each other on. I look around the room at each player. Villafuerte, the keeper is standing by the door ready to go. Powell and Shelley are falling around laughing at John Kennedy trying to do an inspirational speach while Owen Heary the captain actually is giving an inspirational speach to the rest of the lads. Jason Byrne as usual is going around telling anyone that will listen about the amazing hatrick he's going to get as always although we're yet to see it. I give my team talk and they're off. Jogging down the corridor chanting Boh's fan songs and shouting encouragement to each other. Running out onto that famous pitch. The same pitch that Brazil played on against the Irish team all those years ago. I have a quick word with the coaches and make my way down the tunnel towards the pitch.
As I stand on the sideline looking up into the stands at all those black and red scarves and flags I hear the refs whistle and a massive cheer. I turn to see Rovers kick-off. Four minutes in Brennan sets up a chance for Keegan who bursts the ball for the top corner and...........missed. On 8 minutes Glen Crowe laid it off to Byrne who beat a defender and sent a scorcher from long range and BANG OFF THE BAR! Sh*t! On 15 minutes Shelley threw the ball in to Ndo who worked inside and sent a perfect ball in to Crow who tapped it into the bottom corner! GOAL!!!!!
The crowd roared and chanted Crowe's name! We dominated until the 36th minute when Robinson chipped the ball forward and Gary Twigg ran onto it only to head it into the top corner. 1-1.
By half time the game was extremely even and the lads came in as motivated as they were at kick-off. Myself, John and Owen shouted our inspirational team talks and the lads jogged back out to the roaring crowd of 4,235 people. The second half was going ok until the 52nd minute when Brian Shelley tripped Stephen Rice in the box. The yellow card was the least of my worries as Ollie Cahill stepped up. Could the classy Equadorian keeper, Villafuerte, save it? Nope. Not even he could save that one. An expertly placed shot into the bottom corner. 1-2.
We pushed on and struggled for an equaliser and just as we looked like getting one as Paul Keegan hit the post, Rovers counter attacked and won a free-kick. Curled cross into the box and Sives headed it home. 3-1. I was nearly getting sick as I watched Boh's fan all-over the ground head for the exits but I kept on shouting encouragement to lads and maybe...just maybe we could something out of this. I was close to crying as Glen Crowe scored two goals which were BOTH disallowed for offside. It was too much to bear I just sat down with my head in my hands until I heard a hopeful roar from the crowd. I leaped to my feet to see Deegan running forward with the ball. He found Ndo who moved out right and surged past Cahill. I glanced at my watch, 82 minutes gone. He sent a beautiful ball to Jason Byrne who was unmarked in the box. SHOT! Turned away by Alan Mannus but Keegan sprints onto it and BANG!!! GOOOAL! 2-3 with 83 minutes gone. I was jumping up and down liked a man possessed, roaring advice at the lads as Rovers kicked off.
88th minute. Killian Brennan was sprinting down the wing. He turned a defenfer, then another and places a beautiful ball to Byrne who is standing with the goal at his mercy. Time seemed to just pause. The whole ground was silent. Jason Byrne brough his right foot back and swung it powerfully at the ball. Silence. The crowd roared! GOOOOAL! Jason Byrne has done it! 3-3 in the 88th minute. What a come-back. The ref blew the final whistle and every Boh's fan in the ground roared. Sure they would have loved a win but how could you be dissapointed with that kind of committment? The lads were exhausted as they headed into the dressing rooms but they were chanting and roaring for the next half an hour. Definately the best and most memorable match since I have arrived at Bohemians and probably one of the best I will see for a long time.

Season so far....
To be honest, things couldn't be going any better. Unbeaten in all competitions, in the third round of the FAI Cup (Shamrock Rovers away), in the quarter final of the Leinster Senior Cup (Shamrock Rovers at home) and in the quarter final of the EA Sports Cup (Sporting Fingal at home). So far the season has been amazing. The team is playing amazing football and Glen Crowe and Jason Byrne are banging in goals like theres no tomorrow! We're a long way away from my European ambitions but I reckon the key to getting there is to first dominate Ireland bu winning the quadruple. Attendances have started to pick up but they are not quite as high as in r/l. With an average attendance of 2,773 people we are only the fourth highest in the league so we can't rely on gate receipts to pay for the full running of the club.

Big money on the horizon?
Ok, the serious money is in Europe but if I don't get there in the next few season it seems that a few big player sales will have the club loaded! Player values are soaring up with ex Celtic centre-back, John Kennedy (signed on a free) gone up to a value of 1.1 million, Gary Deegan has risen to 1 million, Killian Brennan is now at 750k and Liam Ryan (regen) is at 400k. This is a massive improvement as our highest value at the start of the season was around 100k.

Results :

UCD 1-4 Bohemians (League)
Ok, we were always expected to beat them but definately not by a three goal win away from home! The win delighted the fans with a 99% confidence level!

UCDvBohemians.png

Drogheda Utd 0-1 Bohemians (League)
The keeper would have had to be super human to stop Jason Byrne getting at least the one he got and did exceptionall well to stop him scoring 6 or 7!

DroghedaUtdvBohemians.png

Bohemians 3-2 Athlone Town (extra-time) (EA Sports Cup 3rd Round)
Ok it's never a good thing drawing with Athlone town over 90 minutes especially when its our second time this season! But on the brightside it was our second team and on the even brighter side we're in the quarter final of the EA Sports Cup.

BohemiansvAthloneTown.png

Time to relax....
Well the hard work is over for a while with a 26 day break until our next match. Other than light training the lads will be hitting the town and partying all night long and I intend to join them. (H):D
So all will be quiet until the 19:30 kick off against Shamrock Rovers at Dalymount in 26 days in the Leinster Senior Cup quarter final.

I have been drawn against Georgian Champions, FC Zestaponi.

CELTIC FRIENDLY RESULT!
BohemiansvCeltic.png

To be honest I would have been ecstatic with a draw in this match but a 3-0 win! All I can say is that I'm praying that Santos signs as he's on trial and is looking for 2,200 p/w, while I can only offer 575 p/w with a signing on fee of 30k! Hopefully he'll sign and right now it seems a joke that we're playing some Georgian team in the Champions League! West Brom, Rangers and Liverpool friendlies to come and then on to the Leinster Senior Cup quarter final vs. Shamrock Rovers. After that is our big game in Europe against Zestaponi!
Hope you're enjoying it! Thanks

That result against Celtic :O

Going well so far, can you put spaces inbetween your paragraphs on your match reports as its quite hard to read ;) But apart from that im liking this story :D

Yeah no probs i'll try put more spaces in. Glad you're enjoying it!

Yeah it was an amazing result but fingers crossed that Santos will sign! He has offers from a few massive European clubs who have probably offered him what wages he wants!

Club News

Bohemians 2-3 West Brom
Another 2 goals from Santos!! Praying that he'll sign!

Santos signs for Le Mans UC 72
Well we didn't get Santos :( but as promised Tom Cleverley, Jack Payne, Jacob Walcott and David Ball have arrived at the club just 13 days before the first leg against Zestaponi in Europe.

Bohemians sign Cleverley
Tom Cleverley has signed and looks set to break straight into the first team for our LSC game against Rovers and maybe even for the Liverpool and Rangers games.

Jack Payne signs
Well he looks like one for the future although he probably won't be breaking into the team straight away and could be a star A Championship centre mid for the remainder of this season. On joining the club Jack said it was a dream come true and that for Bohemians to show interest in you was a massive compliment for a player.

Walcott signs
18 year old versatile player Jacob Walcott definately wont break straight into the team but is being regarded as a massive prospect by Bohemians fans.

David Ball arrives from City
Also not going to break straight into the team but perhaps the biggest youth prospect at the club?

Update : 19th July 2010

O'Leary wins June award for top boss

Friendly Results

Tayport 0-13 Bohemians

Bohemians 3-0 Celtic

Bohemians 2-3 West Brom

Bohemians 2-0 Rangers

Bohemians 0-0 Liverpool

These friendlies were a massive success and they're the main reason we're not in debt yet! Santos was amazing against Celtic and West Brom, with two goals in each but unfortunately, as he was on trial, he signed for Le Mans as they offered him better money.

Bohemians 1-0 Shamrock Rovers (LSC Quarter Final)
Played a fairly second string side as the Zespatoni game was coming up, but they played like Manchester United as again and again they sent through-balls past Rovers defence line, setting up chance after chance. With 25 minutes to go, I brought on Jason Byrne for Neale Fenn and he rocketed one into the top corner from nearly 30 yards out :D.

Ryan becomes youngest ever Champions Cup goalscorer
Liam Ryan has become the youngest ever Champions Cup goalscorer at the age of 16 years and 38 days after his goal against FC Zespatoni in Bohemians 3-1 Champions Cup Second Qualifying Round First Leg victory.

Bohemians 3-1 Zespatoni
Absolutely class match with star performances from a few indivisuals including every single player on the team. This was one of our best displays all season with goals from Glen Crowe, Liam Ryan and Tom Cleverley. Liam Ryan got the Man of the Match award.

Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round Draw Made
CSKA Sofia or Vardar (6-0) vs. Bohemians or Zespatoni (3-1)

Liverpool sign Ryan
I should have offered him a pre-contract deal ages ago but I didn't so he rejected my offer and went off to Liverpool. Ah well at least we get the 625k compensation that could eventually rise to 1.6 million :D.

Wow your doing great, shame about missing out on Santos, hopefully you can get ot next round of Champions League though, CSKA Sofia will be a tough test but they are worse than Celtic.

Yeah hopefully we have what it takes! I'm fairly confident after the friendlies though and just realised I have 123,000 transfer budget now because of Liam Ryan leaving :D
If anyone has any signing reccomendations, preferably ones that can play at champions league level :D it would be great thanks!

Do you have the option to request parent clubs, always a few good loans from PL?

Nope unfortunately we don't have the option to get parent clubs becuase we're too high rep!

LIVE UPDATE!

John Kennedy has just given away a peno against Zespatoni! In the net 1-0 so far in the second leg

Hi hope you do well with bohs.I live just round the corner from dalyer but im originally from Dundalk so im tryin to get them to the champs league.

Thanks man! Yeah Dundalk are a great club...did you have Euro Cup qualifiers with them in 2010?

---------- Post added at 09:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:46 PM ----------

2-0 down!!!!!!!! Sh*t!!!!!!! We lose on away goals if it stays this way! 86th minute!

European dreams crushed on away goals by Zestaponi :(

Dundalk Fc Irelands NO.1 Might actually start a dundalk story :D

Will anyone have a LOI Update done soon?
