Ha', 30 times winners shows how dominant Bohemians are, am I right and saying the League of Ireland is usually a two horsed race between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians?

It definately was this year but no not always! Drogheda won the league in 07, Shelbourne have won plenty of titles, Dundalk won 9 titles back in their golden days and the like of Cork City are always there or there abouts. (Or other Cork teams before them like Cork Hibs and Cork Celtic), but at the moment Boh's and Rovers are definately the top two in the league yeah!

No not really, Shelbourne and Bohs were fighting it out early in the noughties. Ten Cork came along and won it in 2005. After Shelbourne winning in 2006 they went into financial meltdown and were relegated to the first divison. Cork are in a similar situation recentley. In the past few years Drogheda won it in 2007 and since then its been all Bohs. Shamrock Rovers last title win came when the league was played in winter in the 86-87 season. Ironcially the title win was the last of a 4-in-a-row for them and they havent wont it since.

Yeah it's fairly amazing that they haven't won it in so long. But Rovers will definately be back as they're a class side and the only club in Ireland who seem to be able to keep their finances completely clean. Rovers have won the league the most times with 15 titles

Yeah had no internet for nearly a year! Great to be back :D Thanks man!

Brilliant Choice of team!
I live across the road from Dalymount park ,
I used to play up front with Mark Hughes for are School team, Deco's
He was brilliant for us ! How is he in the game haven't checked ?

He has the potential to be a decent player! Yeah Boh's are a great team.

Bohemians Transfer Window round-up

It's very early still but I think there's a good feeling about the club and the squad are geling together well. We have drawn Wexford Youths (LOL) in the second round of the Leinster Senior Cup and have drawn Mervue United in the second round of the EA Sports Cup. Steve Whitehall has been hired as a physio, Barry Whitbread and Eddie Presland as scouts, Peter Davidson as a fitness coach and Barry Bolger (regen) as a coach. The most important matter right now though is the Cork City match in three days time which is our first game in the league. The game will be played away at Turners Cross and has been picked for television! Will post a match report after.

Club News :
Glen Crowe has been taken off the transfer list by the new manager along with Brian McCarthy.
Ryan McEvoy is being tipped a rising star after a classy performance against Athlone Town.

New Signings :

Cameron Bell : Seems to be a very solid keeper and at 23 years of age could the young Scot be the next Brian Murphy?

Jack Lampe : At 17 years of age the ex West Ham youngster is definately one for the future and will be playing for Bohemians A in the A Championship this season in centre back.

John Kennedy : The 26 year old star centre back looks set to break straight into the first team line-up with years of experience from playing at Celtic.

Thats it for this update! Match report for the Cork City game will follow! If anyone has any questions or tips I will be happy to answer/consider them. Thanks

Getting the Youths in the 2nd round, what were the odds of it? lol. Some good signings for LOI level there.

Yeah my scouts reckon Cleverley is going to be amazing!

Yeah I found drawing the Youths was funny :D Especially so early on!

Stupid work permits! Can't sign Kader Toure

Not a bad result considering we were away to Cork City although the injury time away goal was extremely annoying! Glen Crowe scores again! Is this the same Glen Crowe that was on Bohemian A + on the transfer list at the start of the game? :P :D lol
Not a bad performance overall and we seem to have a lot we can build on over the next few games! Let me know what you think of the result! More updates soon

My scouts reckon he'd be a decent-useful signing, good cover but I have Paddy Madden and Neale Fenn for that + I don't have enough to offer him the wages he wants as a back-up player. Thanks for the tip though!

:D I'm thinking of doing one as Cork City,i'll be following this,it'd be funny to see them in the champo league.

Yeah ha! Not a bad choice at all, Cork City are a great club! Finances are a bit dodgey as they nearly went bust last year but still a great club. Went to see them play right at the time the club was going into administration and the atmosphere was as if they were in the Champions League Final! But I don't like Kuduzovic cos he scored against me :@ lol

Haha!

Yeah not a bad result but my next result wasn't so great! Bohemians 1-1 Sligo Rovers.

Managers View on the Month :
Not a bad month at all! Unbeaten with draws away to two of the biggest sides and an amazing win away to St. Pat's! Definately a good start with a lot of good team performances.

Mangers Player of the Month :
Definately has to go to Glen Crowe with 4 goals in 5 appearances and an average league rating of 7.48!
