TAKEOVER COMPLETE AT SUNDERLAND AFC

Today local business man Bob Loblaw completed his takeover of Sunderland football club with the club lingering around 16th in the premier league.

"I come here with the intention of improving the club and establishing them amongst the best in England." said Bob. "I look at the squad and believe there is alot that can be improved on. I will be looking to wheel and deal over the next few days to try and help this team achieve what we all dream about. The first port of call is trying to get a permanent deal sorted for Ki as i think he will be vital to the middle of the pitch. I know things will be tight financially but i hope we can get a few deals sorted to help move forward."

Sunderland fans are said to be excited with what the new chairman had to say. Andy Clark, 26, a local lad said "I can't wait to see what happens now and we hope the new chairman walks the walks. Karl was a gamble from the previous manager but believe he should still be given a chance as he is still young and has plenty of potential. For me i believe that we need to improve alot. We lack alot in the defence department especially at LB."

Rumours around Sunderland are that they look to be getting rid of a few players. Conor Whickham, Jozy Altidore, Steven Fletcher, Craig Gardner, David Vaughan and Kieran Westwood are said to be on the chopping block. On the incoming side, Ciro Capuano is touted as the player to come in at LB short term.

Walker: "Expect transfer deals"

In his monthly press conference Walker was very confident that there will be transfer business at Liverpool this month.

"Yes, we will have players arriving, we are already working hard to make sure we get out targets. I will be in contact with fellow chairmen regarding players in the near future. In regards to players leaving as we speak the final details of an outgoing player are being ironed out and he will be leaving very soon. We have his replacement already lined up so its a deal that benefits both me and the other club."

Walker also stated that "No one here is irreplaceable, if the right offer comes in players will leave."

West Ham Press conference
!!

Reporter: What a few weeks West Ham have had! Has Sam done enough to stay in charge?

Disclaimer89 - It has indeed been a great for weeks for the club, beating Norwich, Crystal Palace and Sunderland ! That has surely boosted us up the table! In regards to Sam's job security, I must say I have been impressed with how he has got the team to come out fighting! So for now he will stay.

Reporter: You have lost a few key players lately, will you be diving into the market for cover?

Disclaimer89 - We have unfortunately. The likes of Tomkins(out for 2months), Noble(3weeks) and Costa(4weeks), all out injured for the foreseeable future. Meaning we may indeed have to do some wheeling and dealing, we dont have much to spend so we may have to ship some players out before bringing new ones in!

Reporter: Are we expecting to see Andy Carroll playing anytime in the near Future?

Disclaimer89 - Well he has just come back from a 7month Injury. He is just lacking some match fitness but give it a few matches and he will be back to his best! We have missed his presence up front so it will be a massive boost to the whole team!

Thanks but that is all I have time for, I have to get started if I hope to bring in anyone this window!

Arsenal happy at the halfway stage

Reporter: Mr S-P I am guessing you are happy with your sides performance thus far in both the Premier League and Europe?

Mr S-P: Indeed, we are happy with the progress that has been up to now. However we are only halfway through and there is definitely room for improvement.

Reporter: Room for improvement? Is there a specific area you are looking at?

Mr S-P: Well yes, we are conceding far too many goals for my liking and it does not fill me with too much confidence. Unfortunately, I believe this to be down to the playing style of the current manager. We will continue to monitor this throughout the rest of the season.

Reporter: Are you suggesting that even after sitting at the top of the Premier League and qualifying for the next round of the Champions League you are not completely satisfied with you managers performance?

Mr S-P: You could say that, yes. I believe that with the quality we added in the first transfer window any manager could have had us sitting where we are now. I am happy to see that we are still sitting at the top of the table, however I think we could be almost out of sight with a tightened up defense.

Reporter: Very well. Are you expecting to bring in any players this window? Or lose any?

Mr S-P: We would like to do some business and bring in another marquee signing if possible. Suarez is performing brilliantly and we believe that another player of his ilk should give us that edge when it comes down to the final fight for the league. We also expect some players to leave this month. We are always open to offers.

Reporter: Do you have any players in mind?

Mr S-P: I'm not willing to give any transfer targets away at this point but I would be willing to consider offers for any of the players within reason.

Reporter: Brilliant. That concludes our interview Mr S-P. Have a good evening.

Southampton Takeover Completed

Southampton's Takeover Completed

Following the disappearance of Southampton's previous chairman, with what seems to be a lot of the club's ability, a brave new chairman named, somewhat simply: Splat, has taken up the position. I took some time today to ask him, what his vision is for the club, and what he believes he can do to drag them out of the relegation scrap they now find themselves in.

Reporter: Greetings Splat, Following your successful takeover of Southampton FC, what are your plans for the immediate future?

For now, my plans are to provide Mr Pochettino with the backing necessary to get Southampton out of the pile of dung they have currently found themselves in.

Reporter: That's interesting, many fans have voiced their displeasure about Mauricio, having had high hopes for this season they've been given a nast reality check in finding their much loved squad down at the foot of the premier league table. What makes you believe Pochetinno can reverse their fortunes?

I don't see much sense in removing a manager at the half way point in the season. I must admit, seeing as this club has a wealth of talent in abundance I cannot fathom as to how Mr Pochetinno and his players have got themselves into this pickle. Needless to say, stern words will be spoken, and I hope to see an improvement in the not so distant future.

Reporter: You spoke of having a wealth of talent in abundance, do you intend to take some action during the transfer window? Is there anyone you believe Southampton could do without, or are there any positions you believe could be reinforced?

Certainly some action will be required in this short window. I have noticed the team has shipped a lot of goals of late, and to me that would point to the defensive unit needing an extra man or two, I've also noticed that Mr Pochetinno has a very large number of attacking midfielders, and to me that seems like a lot of wasted talent, so there will be some re-balancing, as you

Reporter: So you will be bringing in a couple and letting go of a couple is what you're saying? Do you have any idea's as to who you'd wish to let go, who would benefit most from leaving the squad? What sort of players do you wish to bring in?

I have a mind to bring in a full-back and a center-back, I noticed that young luke shaw is in need of a rest, and whilst I believe so much game time is good for his development it may lead to an injury. Our center-backs could also do with some beefing up, we wouldn't be in our position if they were doing their job right!

In terms of who we'll be letting leave, well I can tell you right now, anyone showing even a glimmer of high-class talent will be staying with us for the foreseeable future, however, we are not closed to offers for a couple of our more experienced players, particularly in the attacking midfield and centre-back positions.

Reporter: You've given us quite a bit of detail today Splat, one more thing before we go our separate ways, are there any teams in the league that you'd particularly like to give a hard time, even possibly putting them in the position you're position?

I'm usually well mannered in my business, but when I get involved in football I'm an entirely different beast. I have been following the teams this season, and there is nothing I would like more than to see Hull suffer for spending the quite astronomical amounts of money that hey have! I'd also like to see Crystal Palace in my position, but they're already in a worse one, so I'm even happier!

There you have it folks! Needless to say Chairman Splat seems to have big plans in store for Southampton, it'll be interesting to see how Hull and Crystal Palace's chairmen take his quite militant comments!

Trowers Content With Newcastle Start

Scott Trowers has admitted in an interview with SkySports that he has been disappointed with his clubs recent form, although the season in general has gone as expected.

SkySports: "So, Scott, what are your thoughts on your first few months in charge so far?

Trowers:
"I've been impressed with the mentality of the players and staff, along with everyone else involved in the club. We haven't spent a penny, and we are up against it when you see other teams spending. We had an absolutely fantastic start, but since then we have been on a bit of a poor run. Nether-the-less, if this was the final table I would be absolutely delighted!"

SkySports: "What about at the bottom? It is very close down there; and after spending so much in the Summer, Hull have failed to produce and are currently just managing to stay out of the relegation zone. What are your thoughts on that?"

Trowers:
"I have nothing against Hull or the Hull chairmen, I just don't believe that is the right way to run a club. They have bent the rules, but if the FA aren't going to enforce them, then they are not solely to blame. As long as we stay well clear of a relegation fight, I am not particularly bothered about who is in danger of dropping. Although I would be extremely sympathetic to anybody that goes down because of Hulls - or any other clubs - spending."

SkySports: "The Transfer window is open, and after not spending anything so far this season, can the Toon fans be expecting anything this window?"

Trowers:
"To be honest, not really. You're all aware of my policies and beliefs regarding how the club should be run, especially in terms of transfers. We are on target to make a profit this season, so I am willing to spend a couple of million if the right player becomes available, but it is unlikely. If we can move on some fringe players, we will have a bit more to spend. I have made contact with a few clubs, and at the moment we may be close to one player, but it would be disrespectful to talk about them at this stage."

SkySports: "Just a few more questions; What do you think to yet more new owners of Premier League clubs?"

Trowers:
"It seems a bit odd, and I have absolutely no idea what has happened at Selhurst Park recently! But I welcome them to the league, and fingers crossed we have a few more clubs following in the philosophies of Swansea, ourselves and other clubs like us."

SkySports: "You seem to have a real understanding and respect for Swansea. Can you shed any light on the matter."

Trowers:
"As you can tell both clubs are run in a similar way, and of course Swansea play some fantastic football. Unlike us, they have kept to a financially-stable philosophy for a long-time now, and we hope to follow in they're footsteps. I am slightly jealous of they're youth academy though, we haven't really brought any lads through our own recently."

SkySports: "Thanks Scott!"

Manchester City Flex Financial Muscle

Giroud Joins Manchester City

Today it has been confirmed that Manchester City have made their first foray into the winter transfer window and signed current Premier League Top Goalscorer Olivier Giroud for ?22million
Owner Cool M Cool has confirmed that this is the first of many on going negotiations for deals as they look to put right the problems they have had in the first half of the season including only having 2 options up front.

Giroud has been seen as an incredible siginging for Tonkin to get so early on in the window and has the luxury for the rest of the window knowing his main target is in the bag.

Manchester City Continue Spending

Berbatov Joins for ?10million plus P/E

It has been confirmed by Manchester City owner today that they have signed experienced striker Dimitar Berbatov from Fulham for ?10million plus youth team striker Pozo.

Cool M Cool - We are very excited to have brought in an experienced goalscoring striker in Berbatov and a strikeforce at our disposal of Aguero, Negredo, Jovetic, Giroud and now Berbatov has the team salivating at the second half of the season.

Reporter - Do you think you will be spending anymore in the transfer window?

Cool M Cool - Its hard to day really the Fulham chairman was very easy to deal with and we sorted everything out very quickly but some Chairman are frustrating to deal with in the sense they never give you any figures to work with?!?

Fulham Chairman cashes in on Berbatov's good form

View attachment 424224

Dimitar Berbatov has joined Manchester City from Fulham for a whopping ?10m, a lot considering the players age even despite his dazzling form this season, bornexplorer88 decided that the clubs financial security more important, as the club seems set to lose manager, Diego Simeone to Man United.

'I'm happy, excited and a little bit nervous to be honest,' Berbatov told Manchester City official website, mcfc.co.uk
'I look forward to starting training with my new team-mates and open a new chapter in my career.'

Pozo joins as part of Berbatov deal
Also, as part of the deal we see young, Jose Angel Pozo La Rosa join up the Fulham side. Pozo, since joining Manchester City from Real Madrid in early 2012, and during his time at City he went on to be nominated for the Academy Player of the Year award in 2012/13 - his first full season at the club, and although an ankle injury ended his 2012/13 season early, Pozo was City's top scorer at under-21 level by a distance, despite the fact he was playing against players up to five years his senior.
