BREAKING: RODGERS COMPLETES BRADFORD TAKEOVER.
28th May 2013

View attachment 387849
The computer mogul has followed the club since boyhood.

League One newboys Bradford City are celebrating tonight,
following the successful sale of the unpopular Mark Lawn's
stake to RogCom owner Patrick Rodgers.

Fagley-born Rodgers, 45, has wanted to buy into football for
some time and felt the recent upsurge in fortunes at the club
was a sign for him to invest. The deal will surely mean both a
competitive war kitty for manager Phil Parkinson and also an
owner who's made a career out of saving money.

"I'm a local guy who sees this as an opportunity to really push
what Bradford can do. I want to see them back in the Premier
League. I want more cup finals. One day I want Europe."

Rodgers has confirmed that Julian Rhodes and Dave Baldwin will
both continue in their current roles.

BREAKING: PARKINSON EXIT CONFIRMED.
2nd June 2013

View attachment 387843
Parky will be missed at Valley Parade.

Phil Parkinson has mutually terminated his contract
with Bradford City, after leading them to promotion
from League Two and a Capitol One Cup final, for
'the good of (his) marriage'.

Parkinson confirmed his exit from the club this morning,
and thanked the fans for making his time in West York-
shire such a success.

"They were always instrumental, and I'll miss them. I'd
stay if I saw any other solution but my family must
come first, always."

"I wish Bradford every success for the future, I've laid
the groundwork and hopefully the new owner can
select a boss to continue that work."

The bookies favourite is now former FA Youth Couch
Mikey Hindle, most recently a development guru at
Birmingham City, who wants to move into management
and is a huge City fan.

HINDLE ARRIVES AT THE BANTAMS! (12/6/13)

Former FA Youth Coach Mikey Hindle has been confirmed as the club's new
manager, having signed a one-season deal with new owner Patrick Rodgers.

Hindle, 21, is an avid city fan and seemed very excited to be given the chance
to take the club further. He is joined by an extensive backroom staff including
former Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord and former Senegal defender Salif Diao.

"This is my club. I used to sit with my dad as a kid and watch the results come
in. Three or four times a season the results would be pretty good. But, really,
in all seriousness, it's a good time to be here and I just hope I can make it last."

Hindle didn't reveal how much money had been allocated for transfers, but did
caution fans to remember what comes with the financial backing.

"Geoffrey Richmond had the money, at that point, and caused us to go into
two seperate administrations. Obviously the club itself wasn't blameless but
that's money nowadays. I'd rather we dropped a couple of points with the team
we have than sign a few more players and were deducted ten."

Dave Bassett, who joins as Director of Football, was also very positive about
the goings on at Valley Parade.

"The facilities are amazing, and the squad is very promising for the money
spent. I think if things go as planned we could be in the Premiership within
five years, and in Europe within ten. That's the plan, from what I've seen."

The club's pre-season schedule, currently only containing an away friendly with
cross-town rivals Bradford PA, is expected to be completed and released within
a fortnight.

PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE CONFIRMED. (21st June 2013)

View attachment 387758

The club can finally confirm the full pre-season schedule ahead of their first
season back in League one.

City begin with a special training camp in Northern Ireland, with three friendlies
scheduled against local sides. The second of the original four matches, against
Crusaders, has been cancelled due to the other commitments of Crusaders FC.

Following the return to Bradford, the annual Tom Banks Memorial Trophy match
against rivals Park Avenue will take place at the Horsfall before the traditional
home encore, which sees Birmingham come to Valley Parade.

Manager Mikey Hindle is positive of a good pre-season, praising the attitude of
his players.

"They're raring to go, as I expected they would be. It's hard when they've come
off the back of such a good season, and then the standout player goes to one
of the teams just up the road. They've kept their heads up superbly."

Fitness coach Dean Riddle, who joined the club with Hindle, is expected to take
a prominent role in the training in Northern Ireland, with fitness being a key to
their success last term.

TRANSFERS CONCLUDED; WHO'S ON THE TOUR? (2/7/2013)

With seven players coming in, and roughly ?480k to be spent overall, City can confirm the squad that will travel to Northern Ireland this evening.

The new players trained together for the first time yesterday, and along with striker Aaron Mclean make the money earned from Nakhi Wells' sale well spent. The biggest deal is certainly Conor McAleny, who knows Mikey Hindle well following a spell as Everton's youth development advisor.

"I knew straight away that this was what I needed." McAleny told us. "Mikey's got some plans for this club. I wasn't going to get into the Everton team- even more so with Aidan McGeady coming in- and even though I've dropped two divisions I feel confident that I can achieve here."

It is unknown how the squad will be rotated during the tour, but Director of Football Dave Bassett has confirmed that Mikey Hindle wants as many first teamers to complete ninety minutes at Cliftonville.

PRE-SEASON A SUCCESS, SAYS HINDLE. (27/7/2013)

View attachment 387686

City boss Mikey Hindle believes the pre-season was a success, despite a home defeat
in a match they dominated and the cancellation of two games.

With Crusaders pulling out of the tour before City arrived in Northern Ireland, Hindle was
left further frustrated when Linfield also cancelled, just days before the match was to be
played.

"It's annoying, I won't deny that. But they have commitments and that is that. Maybe
next season a different place would be better for the tour. Other than that; three good
wins and a narrow loss to a Championship team is a promising start. We can knuckle down
this week now, and when we face Oldham in the League opener we should be capable of
handling anything."

Hindle also addressed the frustrations of several fans over James Hanson's inability to find
the net.

"Jimmy was very good, overall. His distribution, his running down, it's all been first class, but I think he's tried a little too hard to score. Sometimes the pressure is a little bit too much and it's only you forget it that you can start banging them in again. I'm sure he'll be seeing his name on the scoresheet this season, he just needs to take a deep breath."

PRE-SEASON BEST ELEVEN: Cornell, McArdle, McHugh, Davies, Meredith, Jones, Doyle,
Yeates, McAleny, Marquis, Mclean.

OLDHAM 0 BRADFORD 2 (10/8/2013)

SkyBet League 1
10th August 2013
Oldham Athletic 0
Bradford City 2 (Mclean 42, Green 53)
Attendance: 5,677

CITY ELEVEN:
Cornell, McArdle, Davies, Kiernan, Meredith, Jones, Martin, Green, McAleny, Hanson, Mclean.

Match Filter: Key Moments

21:13 James Dayton sees his stinging drive from just outside the box
well held by David Cornell.

27:52 It's almost one nil to City as Andrew Davies heads Danny Green's
corner just over the bar.

36:43 Aaron Mclean is unlucky to see a first-time shot from outside the
area tipped wide by Paul Rachubka.

41:11 GOAAAAL! Genseric Kasunga can only watch as Danny Green's
cross is slotted home superbly by Mclean. City won't mind the abject
defending, and their fans are certainly now the louder of the two.

45:00 (2:17) The referee blows his whistle for half-time.

49:57 Crossbar! Danny Green sees his cross taken fully by the wind
and smashed against a panicking Rachubka's bar.

52:25 GOOOAAAAAL!!!! There's no stopping Green this time, as the
early favourite for Player of the Match takes Gary Jones' through
ball past Rachubka to slot into an empty net.

62:19 Save! Rachubka shows his class a little late, this time staying
on his line to deflect Green's shot.

69:33 SAVE!!! David Cornell produces a superb double save, first
tipping James Meredith's poor header back onto the bar before
denying Dayton from point-blank range.

78:41 Carl McHugh is Cornell's favourite person right now, as the
keeper can only fumble Dayton's cross towards his own goal, the
defender races on and hacks it off the line and for a throw-in.

90:00 (4:13) The referee blows for full-time.

VIEW FROM THE BOSS:
"I felt we were very organised out there, despite the tactics still
being very fresh and new. It was a good start to be getting those
passes in consistently and I think that laid the foundation. Even
late on when they built up some momentum I felt that we dealt
well with the danger, and deserved the win. I'm very proud."

-Mikey Hindle.

PROGIDY HAJJI CHOOSES THE BANTAMS. (18/8/2013)

View attachment 387220

City DoF Dave Bassett has confirmed that sought after teen Amin
Hajji has joined the Bantams from Belgian Third Division side Olsa
Brakel.

The Belgian, who is also eligible to play for Morocco, was being
watched by teams like Auxerre and QPR, but elected to join City
following positive talks with Bassett and manager Mikey Hindle.

"He's a talent, Salif (Diao) watched him on my recommendation
and said he could probably play for us, at sixteen- that's how
good he is." Bassett told us.

Hindle was a little more cautious, not wanting to ramp up the
pressure on his new signing.

"He'll work with the under-21s for now, simply because you can
burn these young players out. I wouldn't want to make him out
to be unable to handle it, but he's still a child. My career ended
early because I was overexposed at his age."

In other news, David Beckham has been confirmed as the new
manager of the under-18 team, having decided heading a new
MLS franchise would be a strain on his family time.

Great start, loving the detail. Are they given that transfer budget in the game or did you edit it?

AUGUST HUB. (01/09/2014)

View attachment 374118

The Bantams enjoyed a fantastic opening month of
the season; topping League One with 13 points
from a possible 15 and seeing only bad luck stop
them progressing in the Capital One Cup.

Aaron Mclean- having to fill the shoes of the popular
Nahki Wells- was on fire with 11 goals in 7 games.
Conor McAleny was a constant menace on the left
wing and with David Cornell finding his confidence
as the month went on there was a lot to smile about
at Valley Parade.

"I'm proud of the lads, who've put 110% in this
month." manager Mikey Hindle said.

"We could have let it drop half way through, it
happens all the way up in the Prem, but we didn't
and we're rightly top of the pack right now."

OTHER NEWS:

-The club can confirm that former Tottenham
and Wolves midfielder Rohan Ricketts is on
trial with the club.
-Dave Bassett has confirmed that he is off
in search of a goalkeeper and that he is
taking the club's "very positive budget".
-Amin Hajji made his debut for the youth
team against Crystal Palace, hitting the
upright in the process.

I edited the balance slightly, to emulate the takeover. The budget options were both unticked in the editor, which I imagine randomised them.

And thanks to everyone for following!
