Hi dude, this looks fantastic. I want to give it a shot for sure. Would it make much difference if I changed the instruction so the inside forwards didn't swap flanks? Its just my wingers are pretty one footed to say the least. Cheers dude :)

I've not tested it, not sure it will make a huge difference though.

It's a lot different to the formation he played in that game. That's more of a 3-4-3 (which I may also create). This 3-5-2 is similar to the one Liverpool played at times early on last year, just after Suarez came back from suspension. I think they played it against Sunderland away on his first game back.

Won the league with Sheffield United with 7 games to spare. Will post screenshots soon.

Will probably move on in the summer as I fancy a fresh challenge.

did you use Sterling as an inside forward mate? he's very right footed, so did he work well when the wingers swapped. I'm Barca, and I have Neymar and Munir as my inside forwards. I've just had a bid accepted for Sterling, I know he can play the shadow striker role well, but can he slot in the wide positions well if they swap flanks? Looking forward to trying this.

Yeah mate he played the inside forward role as well as he did shadow striker.

I played him primarily on the right hand side because i had Suso who could play on the left. What's your squad?

Top of the league with Southampton after 7 games, weve won all 7. Will post screenshots later on.
 
I've only used this for pre season and 5 competitive games but its became very clear very quickly that the 4-1-2-1-2 is a lot more successful than the 4-3-3. But the 4-1-2-1-2 is good enough to just use on its own!
 
Been playing football manager 4 a long time now every year i am liverpool but i have never been as successful so quick as i am with this tactic. Awesome tactic won league 3 yrs on the trot, champions league 2 yrs on the trot i have won league cups & fa cups Europe super cups & world club championship cup. Big thanku
 
Is there anyone using only the 41212, that could share some screenshots with results, league table, player stats...?

Who you playing as? And yeah i preferred the 4-1-2-1-2 but it's all abou variation mate.
 
Using liverpool although i have just lost my save thanks to a windows update. I'll start again and sign the same players, gonna try and get both tactics working!

No reason why they shouldn't mate both tactics are made for Liverpool.
