Yep, that's right. I am doing the impossible. I think before I start it's important to note a few things before you spend 5 minutes reading this only to be put off by something.
1 - I am 15 seasons into this save. I didn't really have any intention of documenting this save, and if I'm being completely honest I didn't think I would make it this far. For those sane enough to never have attempted to build a nation in San Marino, you may not realise just how awful it is. Even I'm surprised I made it this far. But I have, and I will try my best to document what has happened in the last 15 years, but I am very likely to miss something that at the time felt major (A change in Coefficient rankings as an example). So if you're not interested in a save set 15 years in the future, you have saved yourself a lot of time.
2 - I downloaded a tactic. Shock, I know. I spent a lot of my fm career downloading tactics. I just don't get it, and it's a game, so I chose the easy way out. Since fm19 I refused to download any tactics and tried my best to learn. I failed and would almost always resort to Gegenpress 4-2-3-1... Sound familiar? Anyway, this year was no different; A 10 year stint in Ireland was ended when the board sold a welsh beauty to Ipswich for 800k and I spat the dummy out. I brought my tactical genius to San Marino but somehow, even the might of the gegenpress 4-2-3-1 wasn't enough and I really considered giving up. I thought to myself, is this pain worth it? Or shall I admit defeat? I chose the latter and downloaded a friends tactic before he introduced me to the strikerless formation found on this site. My god is it good. I'm not here to debate the legitimacy of achievements based on downloading tactics, it's a game and I'm having fun. However, I understand that is a deal breaker for some so this is your opportunity to click off before you see me lift countless Copa Sammarinese. (I would just like to note that I won't change my formation, but I am absolutely open to discussions on tactics so I can develop a better understanding).
3- I changed a couple of things in the editor. Firstly I chanaged the Youth Importance (or whatever it is) to 200 because I wanted to some funky regens. You're welcome to class this as cheating, but I really didn't think it would matter until I got so far into the game where all my staff and facilities were the best (I was kind of wrong on this, no worldies but players that definitly would not come from San Marino). If this is cheating for you, you're probably right, But please remember this is a game and I thought it would be fun. Secondly, I changed the amount of years it takes to gain Citenzenship. This was an inadvertant cheat. I intially did this as I thought it would be fun to have some players declare themselves for San Marino and they could rise the rankings. Not only has this not happened, but most players have taken up San Marino as an eligble nation to help with squad rules. I really didn't think about this, and by the time I did it was too late. If these are too far for you, no problemo! This isn't a save to prove I'm the best, more to prove that I have the patience of a saint and wanted to make it as fun as possible.
Now I've finished doing what I do best (putting people off what I want them to enjoy), let's get into it. I'm going to break it down into 3 parts. Part one will cover years 1-5. Part 2 will cover years 5-10. Part 3 will cover years 10-15. Let's begin right at the start.
