Mick McCarthy leaves Wolves!
mcc.jpg

Wolves have today confirmed that Mick McCarthy has left the club due to Mutual consent, with McCarthy being quoted saying "his heart wasn't in the game anymore." The club have confirmed that they will be looking for potential managers. While the club are looking they have appointed Terry O'Conner as the caretaker manager. Fans were seen rejoycing outside Molineux after the news had filtered through of the many fans were rejoicing and calling for Wolves' legend, Steve Bull, some however were sad to see McCarthy go. Fans spokesman Barry Baker was sad to see McCarthy go but said the time was right for him to move on and Wolves needed a fresh approach to its game. Baker continued to add that McCarthy had done wonders at Wolves but he could not see McCarthy take Wolves any further than he already had done. McCarthy had found a few great players on such a low value, such as Michael Kightley.

Wolves chairman Steve Morgan has indicated that Wolves have already found a new manager and are very pleased to have negotiated what seems to be a contract with the unknown manager. Many fans in recent days have speculated that local boy Sam Allardyce is the front runner for the job, but Morgan quickly dampened rumors that he was possibly to expensive for Wolves.

At some point tomorrow Wolves Chairman Steve Morgan has indicated that Wolves will annouce the new Wolves manager and the new appointment will accounce his outline for the future of the club.

BULLY'S BACK!
bull.jpg

At around 12am today Wolves Chairman Steve Morgan announced that Wolves Legend Steve Bull would be taking the vacant managerial role at Wolves. All Wolves fans have a great respect from the legened that is 'Bully'. Bully made his debut for Wolves was against Wrexham on 22 November 1986. He made 464 league appearances for the club, 561 appearances in total, scoring 306 goals for Wolves. On leaving Wolves, he went on to play 12 games for Hereford United where he rejoined his old manager Graham Turner.

Bull continued to perform well in the second tier of the English league, and stayed loyal to his Midlands roots despite interest from the likes of Aston Villa, Coventry City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Ajax, Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Lazio, Boca Juniors, Newcastle United and even the Italian giants Juventus and Genoa who reportedly had a £3.5m bid turned down prior to the 1990 world cup.

Steve Bull was capped 13 times for the England team, and scored 4 goals in the build up to Italia 90. He went on to score 2 more goals in a friendly against Czechoslovakia in 1989-90, one of which was voted in as number 37 of England's 50 Greatest Goals. His final England goal was against Tunisia, which earned him a place in Bobby Robson's World Cup Squad.

Steve Bull's news conference is to follow.

WOLVES SIGN WONDERKID.

wickham.png

Wolves have today completed the signing of Ipswich wonderkid Connor Wickham, the 17year old, who has already represented England U-21s looks an exciting prospect for the future. Wolves who paid £5.5m for him fought off fierce competition from Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa, it is thought that Wickham chose Wolves over them as they could promise him first team football, as the other clubs only saw him as 'one for the future'. Bull said in his press conference that his is extreamly excited by Wickham and can't wait to see him in a Wolves shirt. It is also thought that Bull is interested in Celtic's young Centre Midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.

Wolves will now go on their travels to Carlisle, Cambridge, Charlton, Ipswich and Celtic, all away from Molineux.

WOLVES SEASON PREDICTION.
wolves_badge.png

Carlisle 0 - 4 Wolves

Cambridge 0 - 4 Wolves

Charlton 1 - 2 Wolves

Ipswich 0 - 1 Wolves

Celtic 2 - 1 Wolves

Steve Bull will be please with the teams results, after having to re-adjust and get used to a new manager, Bull's first game in charge of Wolves was a long away trip to Carlisle, The game started well with wolves grabbing a goal through Dave Jones, the then added another through Mick McCarthy's last signing Leigh Griffiths, Wonderkid Connor Wickham also grabbed a goal on his début, with fan's favourite Jody Craddock also getting a late goal.

Wolves had another away trip, going away to Cambridge United, with another good performance from the squad, with Wickham grabbing another goal, with only his second outing for his new club. A product of Wolves Academy, Zeli Ismail getting on the scoresheet with a impressive solo run and finish. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake then finished a superbly worked move with a curling shot from the edge of the area. Wolves loanee Mujangi Bia then finished off the rout with a lovely chip of the advancing Cambridge goalkeeper.

Another Away trip for wolves saw them travelling to Chris Powell's Charlton, with the
League One side giving the Premier league team a shock, with Bradley Wright-Phillips getting a goal for Charlton within 5 minutes, Steven Fletcher's Brace saved Wolves fans blushes with two powerful headers both coming in the second half.

Connor Wickham then visited his old team, only 3 weeks after leaving Ipswich, The game was a particularly boring game, although both teams putting everything in, there was no luck in front of goal for either team. Kevin Doyle finally broke the deadlock with 7 minutes to go.

Wolves then faced their toughest game of pre-season, going to Celtic away. Wolves put up a very good fight going in front in the 8th minute through Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. Georgio Samaras then grabbed a brace for the Scottish side, to give them a 2-1 win over Wolves.

Overall, Steve Bull will be very please with his squad, with the signing of Connor Wickham looking particularly good. Mick McCarthy's final signing as Wolves boss, Leigh Griffiths also looking a great prospect for the future. Bull has also allowed Carl Ikeme and David Edwards leave on loan, going to Doncaster and Preston respectively.

Wolverhampton Wanderers Chairman Steve Morgan today confirmed that they have agreed a shirt sponsorship deal rumoured to be worth a 6 figure sum with major phone firm Blackberry™. They have also agreed a deal with major shirt supplier Adidas. Adidas have designed 3 kits for wolves, a Home, Away and a third kit. It is thought that around 13,000 wolves fans have took advantage of the 10% off with their seqason ticket and pre-ordered the kit. It is thought that the Home kit will sell the most, but many fans said that they like the third kit! Wolves will be wearing the kit for the very first game when they play Fulham on Saturday.

WOLVES - AUGUST REVIEW.

100px-Fulham_FCsvg.png
wolves_badge.png

Fulham 0 - 1 Wolves

Steve Bull took his side to Craven Cottage for his first game in charge of Wolves in the Premier League, both sides started well having shots at goal, none for either team hitting the target though, the game then looked like it was going to be a bore draw. However, both sides came out after the break going all guns blazing, with Kevin Doyle breaking the dead lock on the 64th minute with a amazing drive from the edge of the area, He looks like the man who could keep Wolves up this season.

wolves_badge.png
150px-Manchester_United_FC.png

Wolves 0 - 1 Man United

Before the game, i think everybody's money would have been on Manchester to win this, but after the first fifteen minutes they may have been regretting it, with wolves applying all the pressure and they was unlucky not to go ahead with a fantastic save from Van Der Saar from a beautifully placed effort from Kevin Doyle. However, Wolves were dealt a blow when Adam Hammill was injured on the 17th minute and was replaced with Muganji Bia. The game then changed with a touch of class from Wayne Rooney, on the 34th minute with a curling efford from the edge of the area - unstoppable. Wolves continued to have shots, but was nearly caught on the break by Man U, but the game remained 1-0 which is not a bad result for Wolves.

150px-Everton_FC_Crest-coloursvg.png
wolves_badge.png

Everton 1 - 0 Wolves

This looks like it was going to be a very lively match from the start, and after Everton grabbed an early goal in the 8th minute everyone thought this game would have 9 or 10 goals in it, each team enjoying lots of shots, trying to keep the keepers busy. Wolves kept Howard the busier of the two, with their shots being more accurate at goal, however both keepers didnt concede again and managed to keep their goals intact, and the game remained 1-0 which is unlucky on Wolves, but i'm sure they will be safe come may.

Wolves Press Conference

bully.jpg

Steve Bull today conducted his third press conference as Wolves boss, he expressed again how pleased he was to sign Wonderkid Connor Wickham, he also said that he "cant wait" to put him in the team and see how he progresses, Wickham is currently injured and is exprected to return in 3-4 weeks. Ki Sung-Yueng was also on Bull's radar, however Bull chose not to progress with the deal as he thought that Celtic's valuation was far too high. Bull did say that he would not be signing anyone else in this transfer window, but may try on deadline day to get a few bargins, and again in January. He also said that he hopes the fans give him a chance after a medioca start to Wolves' second campaign in the top flight of English football. He said that the whole group is bonding well and he feels that within 2 seasons he hopes to be in European football.

*Update coming around 5pm tonight! :) and thankyou for all the comments and support!*

WOLVES DEADLINE DAY MADNESS.

New-Transfer-Deadline-Day-800_2496325.jpg

Wolves have a amazing deadline day, but surprisingly didn't manage to sign a single player. They had a bid rumoured to be in the region of £8m for Anchelect striker Romelu Lukaku, the deal was immediately accepted, however Lukaku didn't even want to negotiate a contract with Wolves. Bull then turned his attention to Brazilian wonderkid Neymar, They had a deal accsepted for the wonderkid in the region of 23m being paid off in 48months, a contract was agreed and the deal seemed to be done, but wolves couldnt afford the deal and it had to be cancelled.

Bull remains confident though being quoted saying, "yes ofcource it's disspointed loosing out on two fantastic players, but hopefully we will be able to get them in january, seeing that they remained at their clubs.

Hard luck with those two mate! Looks good, will keep an eye!

WOLVES - SEPTEMBER REVIEW.

newcastle.gif

Wolves 1 - 0 Newcastle

Steve Bull will be very pleased with the performance of his team, his team battle and continued to be a threat to Newcastle's goal. Steven Fletch then broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, with a poachers goal, pouncing on the rebound and smashing it into the back of the net. Both teams continued to be a threat on the opponents goal. However, in the 88th minute Newcastle strike Cristian Benitez had a moment of madness, picking up a yellow card, and then from the resulting freekick committed another rash challenge resulting in another yellow card, eventually getting a red.

West Brom 1 - 2 Wolves

This game always promised to be the best Black country derby for years, However it was not the start that Steve Bull wouldn't have wanted, Peter Odemwingie put the Baggies in front in the 6th minute, with a skilful dribble finishing it off with a beautifully placed shot. The game carried on as it had started with both teams applying pressure on the opponents goal. Albion then revived a huge blow with Centre back Pablo Ibanez getting a straight red after pulling Kevin Doyle down when he was clean through. Wolves pressure finally paid off with Kevin Doyle getting a goal in the 52nd minute with a great curling shot around the keeper from the edge of the area. The game then got levelled with Ronald Zubar getting sent off for a second bookable offence. Each team put in their all for a winner, and it was Wolves who got it, with a header in the last minute from Captain fantastic Christophe Berra.

Wolves 2 - 1 Everton

Wolves were drawn at home to Everton in the Carling Cup, Wolves rested mainy of their main players, giving a start to Connor Wickham and Leigh Griffiths up front, also starting Muganji Bia and Karl Henry. The game was one for the neutrals, with both team having plenty of chances on goal, Evertons pressure paid off with them winning a penalty from a clumsy challenge. Luckily for Steve Bull, Leon Osman decided to smash the ball into row z.Kevin Doyle was bought on at half time, and it was him who broke the deadlock in the 59th minute beating the offside trap, and slotting it past the oncoming Tim Howard. Wolves were looking good for the Win until Phil Jagielka scored with a header in the 81st minute. The game then went to extra time and both teams were looking very tired. but it was Nenad Milijas who scored a great strike from the edge of the area in the 107th minute, and Steve Bull will be hoping to progress in the Carling cup.

Wolves 2 - 0 Stoke

Wolves had another game a home, playing Staffordshire rivals Stoke City at home, Wolves always looked like they were always going to be the team who come out on top. However, both teams did look like they were up for the fight and both challenged the opponents goal. Wolves got the first goal of the game from classy winger Adam Hammill in the 20th minute with a strike from the edge of the area, driven low into the bottom corner. The game remained pretty level with both teams cancelling each other out in the middle of the park. However in the 90th minute Steven Fletcher added another goal to give wolves the 2-0 win.

*BTW: Sorry about the late reply, i was going on to stoke and then accidently crossed off my browser, and Google Chrome couldn't recover it. trust me i was SCREWIN!! :( *

WOLVES - OCTOBER REVIEW.

wolves_badge.png

Blackpool 1 - 2 Wolves

Wolves got off to the perfect start with their away trip to Blackpool, Kevin Doyle getting another goal in his amazing season, in only the 4th minute. Blackpool then levelled with captain fantastic Charlie Adam. Each team having numerous shots on goal, but it was Matt Jarvis who scored next in the 29th minute. Both teams challenged but neither could get another and the match finished 2-1.

wolves_badge.png

Wolves 2 - 0 Birmingham

Another Derby for Steve Bull, and he seems to be pleasing the fans, with another fantastic win. Wolves starting the game well and getting the luck, with Scott Dann heading the ball into his own net, from a dangerous cross from Matt Jarvis. Birmingham didn't really seem to threaten Wolves' goal, but Wolves continued to dominate, but failed to get it into the net. Wolves finally grabbed a goal in the 82nd minute from their ever present captin Christophe Berra. I'm sure Steve Bull is loving this and having a fantastic set of results.

wigan.gif
wolves_badge.png

Wigan 0 - 2 Wolves

Another fantastic win for Wolves, over fellow 'relegation' rivals Wigan, but i'm sure Wolves relegation woes have been wiped and will be tipped for a mid table or maybe above finish. The game got off to a slow start but it was Steven Fletcher who broke the deadlock, with a powerful finish from the edge of the box. Kevin Doyle then put the game to bed in the 49th minute with Wigan never looking like they were going to score. Wolves run continues.

wolves_badge.png
stoke1.jpg

Wolves 1 - 6-5 P - 1 Stoke

Wolves played staffordshire rivals stoke, for the second time in two months, this time in the carling cup. This game was once again dominated by Wolves having an incredible 29 shots at goal, with 9 of those on target, more than whats stoke had even attempted. However it was Stoke who took the lead through Kenwyne Jones with a great head on the 6 yard box. Wolves then came out in the second half being a completely different team, with new boy Leigh Griffiths grabbing a goal, with a smart finish past the goalkeeper. The teams then pressed for a winnner, but couldnt get one in normal time, and not even added time so a penalty shootout was required, with Wolves getting the spoils wining it 6-5.

wolves_badge.png
tottenham_hotspur_team_crest_logo_match_attax_2009_2010-150x150.jpg

Wolves 0 - 1 Spurs

Wolves were finally beaten, thanks to a very good Tottenham team. However, Bull would have felt that his team deserved atleast a point, but were unable to get past Gomes. Both teams applied the pressure with Jermaine Defoe getting the only goal of the game in the 21st minute. Wolves continued to apply pressure but were unable to get anything from the game, if wolves keep up these performances they will be top flight material!

*comments are appreciated, sorry for the lateness, ALSO I'VE ATTACHED LEAGUE TABLE :D *

Wow mate. You've had a fantastic couple of months, brilliant stuff
