Love him or hate him, I'm not sure there is a manager of the modern era who can
stand next to him and be called an equal. 19 Major trophies: Including two UEFA
Champions Leagues. The closest challenger in terms of success would be Alex Ferguson
(49 honours) but that was earned throughout a glittering 39 year long managerial career
whereas Mourinho has only been in the game 14 years: at this same point, Ferguson was
yet to add 37 trophies to his collection.

So naturally, when José Mourinho announced he was coming back to Chelsea
in 2014, there was cautious optimism amongst the club's loyal faithful.

His first year back passed without much incident, the club finishing 3rd with a respectable
82 points; behind a surprise-package Liverpool who many feel could have ended the year
as champions. Though Chelsea did take 6 points form both Liverpool and eventual
champions, Man' City. This is an important footnote to remember, this squad can
beat the best... But can they be the best?

This is the man who brought them their last English crown.
José Mourinho: The Special One.

Arguably the best 'team' in the league. Chelsea have a squad that any side in
Europe would give an arm and a leg for. A young prodigy of a goalkeeper. A
bullish striker who scores for fun. Attacking midfielders so can run-rings-around
defenders, before coming back to nutmeg them for the fun of it. And tough
no-nonsense defenders who can set/extend English defensive records before
it's their time to retire. Chelsea has a squad that can dominate both at home
and in Europe.

Always loved Jose XD Good luck man!

He's a guy I love to hate. I admire his ability and think he's a genius. A lot of his narcissism is designed to take media pressure off his players. Most people who've worked with him say he's an extremely hard working, loyal man with kindness in his heart. I just think he lets the occasion get to him sometimes and he can be quite smug. But sure, I challenge anyone to name one manager who didn't take a pot-shot at another manager in their career :P

Yeah, he is a genius. I love how he puts his players first in the media, and is so clever tactically. He has a plan for everything. People see he is big-headed, but he just says it the way it is. And surely he is allowed to be smug with a record like his?!

Looks good, liked your other save and wow I didn't realise how little english players are in the Chelsea side, will you be adressing that or are you just gonna buy whatever nationality you want? Either way I'm happy.

Good luck buddy. Didn't comment on there but really enjoyed your liverpool story :)

Good luck Brend, really looking forward to this.

Chelsea have a lot of English youth coming through so I'm hoping to bolster the home-grown requirement that way.
Signings: If you're good enough, nationality doesn't matter.

Cheers mate. Glad to have yoo with us.

Sorry I'm lost but what is the 5 year plan

Yeah same as above.

Enjoy Mourinho and the layout of this looks good so far so I will follow once updated what your plans are.

The 5 year plan is a style of story I do where I set out a plan for the next 5 seasons and build the club slowly to avoid inconsistent success.

I haven't set out what the 5 year plan for this save is yet but that will be an update in itself. I need to get a clear idea of the squad, where we are as a club and what our next step is.

Nice one mate sounds good.

Best of luck - look forward to seeing what you do with it.

FFS Brendn! Where's the Deportivo 5 year plan mate?

Oh well, I suppose i will keep an eye on this until you come to your senses. :P

I am a big fan of Mourinho.

I only recently read your Liverpool story and it was brilliant. I'll be following this more closely. :)
