Chelsea gets a 5 year plan.

FFS Brendn! Where's the Deportivo 5 year plan mate?

Oh well, I suppose i will keep an eye on this until you come to your senses. :P

They need far more than 5-years to plan fo Deportivo and I'm afraid I'll get hired off the job I do with them :P I don't know enough spanish to get snapped up this early :P

I am a big fan of Mourinho.

I only recently read your Liverpool story and it was brilliant. I'll be following this more closely. :)

Cheers my friend. Those Liverpool stories are my babies so I pour my heart into them. If this save is anyway near as enjoyable, I'll be happy :)

Good luck, will be following

Cheers mate. Sorry the Leeds story died. ****** laptop fell down a flight of stairs moving house... HDD is ruined and had to replace it :(

No problem, we probably all have our fm crashing stories,

A few FM's ago on my old PC I remember I had a really long save with Leeds and I was in a group stage match of the CL and I scored a goal towards the end of the game for the win as soon as it hit the net my monitor sparkled up and then smoke came out of the PC and when it eventually worked again that save was completely destroyed! Obviously the goal had nothing to do with the crash but it was surely weirdly time

Looking forward to this story, Brendn.

I just have one thing, You forgot about Morinuho's Real Madrid collection: 1 La Liga, 1 Copa del Rey and 1 Supercopa de Espana

The 5 year plan: Year One

Given how strong the squad is, I don't really need to do that
much work in terms of building. Managing the squad to promote
a winning mentality is where I'll earn my wages. Contracts must
be nailed down early with favorable bonuses. I don't like having
huge bonuses. I'd rather pay a huge wage that I know is coming
out of the finances every year. That way I can budget.

View attachment 276153

Immediately, there is a disparity. £75,000 p/w (£3.9M p/y) may be an issue in the future
if Courtois wants pay-parity for the Squad Status. Both players are on long term contracts
though so I don't have to worry about Negotiations this year.

John Terry will be moved onto a Key Play Squad roll to reflect his pay and his importance
to the squad. He is easily England's best defender and has been for quite some time. He's
into the last year of his contract so I'll be renewing that since he's still got one or two
years left in him.

Fabregas and Oscar are both on high-paying contracts so their performances will be highly
scrutinized. If they perform well with a year-average rating of 7.50+, they will be moved
onto Key Player roles. If they achieve 7.00 or less, I will be renegotiating a lower deal;
if they reject, they will be sold.

These are the Cup starters. All Rotation players will play in both the FA and
Capital One Cups to keep the First Team and Key Players fresh for the League
and Champions League.

The wages for the Rotation players seem pretty high to me, given that they
are only going to play 18-23 games a season for the club. Their performances
will be assessed at the end of the season and unless I feel they are deserving
of fighting for a first team contract, they'll but put on the loan list; or sold.

The wages for the Backup players seems reasonable. Drogba is on a high wage
contract because of his notable experience and what he can offer the youth
in tutoring. These players will be the Cup Subs and maybe get a run out if
they are performing well at U21's level. They are however seen as Loan
candidates and I'll be willing to discuss loan deals for these players.

I've identified one transfer Target for the 2014/15 Season.
Jack Wilshere. He'll give us an extra player for the Home-
grown rule in the Champions League as well as being a
great midfield pairing for Fabregas to pull the strings
for Hazzard, Oscar and Costa.

Estimated cost: £30M-£45M

You are one of my favorite writers on the site, been a silent spectator to your liverpool story in 2014 and this year. It's a shame you might never do a Manchester United save though

I'll be following this closely! Loved your Liverpool story but will no doubt love your Chelsea one even more!

As a Liverpool fan, the rivalry is far too strong for me to be able to actually try to win things with them :P I know Chelsea are also a rival of Liverpool's but it was built compedativly, there wasn't a history of competition between the sides.

God that header is sexy!

Cheers. It's 5 images I meshed together :)

Cheers my friend. I've always liked Chelsea. They've had some great players down the year and they've been a side I respect.

My inaugural post. And I'd first off like to thank you greatly. Your outstanding LFC story (long time lurker) blew me away and has inspired me to add to the forum with a coming Milan story. (My second love. And you've done L'pool that well that I'll turn to the other complete mess in my sporting life and try to 'cyber' rectify it. Another Liverpool story just wouldn't be right. Smiles.).

So without you I doubt I'd be here.

That said .....

Chelsea ..... man, as a born and bred Liverpudlian, this is a real head scratcher and is gonna' be REAL hard to follow.

To many, particularly older reds, the hatred, to not put too finer a point on it, with Chelsea is RIGHT up there with ANYTHING! Utd included. And it's reciprocated from West London. We've had a thing with Chelsea since WAY before Mourinho even got into football. The dislike for Utd, in the main, is fan orientated. Two City's just 35 miles apart, but a MILLION miles apart in everything from the way we dress/ talk/ our musical tastes et all. But Utd as a club have always been a great football club and the two clubs have traditionally got on.

Chelsea ..... I can't find ONE redeeming factor with that football club. Horrible, if undoubtably great, manager. Horrible attitude among a lot of the players. A VERY questionable owner. And the single lowest form of football fans in England.

Again, I love reading your work and you've inspired me to finally add to my busy life by joining here.

But this is a REAL head scratcher for a Liverpool fan to happily not only do a story on them, but chose to play with THEM to begin with.

I can't speak for Brendn but as a young Australian, when I first started supporting Liverpool I didn't know much about rivalries, nor about the geography, so I don't even particularly dislike Everton! Man United are my least favourite club, always have been and always will be :P

But Chelsea I quite like, because of the players they have had and currently have who I really like, I don't mind them as a club, and it was great for someone to beat United because we haven't been able to consistently for years! So not everyone has the traditional ideas of which clubs they do and don't like when it comes to rivalries I guess :P

I can appreciate your perspective though, and it's great how loyal you are to the club! And I look forward to your Milan story, I've always liked them too! :)

Hate United, hate Chelsea, hate Everton. This is a football manager story though... not real life, so I'm following as Brendn is great at doing stories! Won't be hard to follow at all :)

Yep will definitely be following too!

Thank you. Appreciated.

And yeah, I didn't wish to sound condescending or to be lambasting the OP at all whom I really like reading. If it came across as that I apologise as that wasn't the intention. And I should of taken into account the World wide membership.

Just Chelsea sits real uneasy with me as a Liverpool supporter with what I've always been brought up with and known. Shrugs. (And how crazy mad does sport effect us when we can be bothered by a team on a video game? Lol.).

No problem man, I was worried I'd come across as confrontational when that wasn't my intention at all! It's interesting to see how we all see things differently :P I totally understand you, I'd find it very difficult to follow a Man United save because I wouldn't enjoy seeing them so successful :P

I'm a Chelsea fan and I hate Liverpool, but I really appreciate all of the Liverpool stories on here as they've been amongst the best - Brendn's and xJamieWilliams' in particular!

Yeah stories like theirs are epic, worth following regardless of who you support! They are just stories after all :P

Although that being said, I wouldn't personally start a Liverpool story myself, but each to their own and I respect that :)
