Where: Stamford Bridge - Fulham Road - London
When: Saturday 23rd April. Kickoff at 17:30 live on ESPN
Competition: Barclays Premier League

Chelsea Team News:
The reversion by Carlo Ancelotti to a 4-3-3 system following his use of 4-4-2 and 4-3-2-1 has paid dividends and the front three are back in the old routine. Suddenly the forwards who were prolific in August and September are scoring goals again. Florent Malouda's goals tend to come in spells that was certainly the case at the start of the season and his form has returned at a vital moment: he has now scored three in four and is influencing matches again.

Ryan Bertrand, at 21 made his senior debut for the Blues after almost 150 appearances on loan. His excellent cross for Malouda will reassure those looking for more homegrown youngsters to make it at the Bridge.

Chelsea's Italian manager has hinted that he may make a few changes for this match, which may mean starts for Nicolas Anelka and Fernando Torres. He has already ruled out defender Alex and midfielder Ramires with hamstring injuries. Ashley Cole, who made way for Bertrand on Wednesday, may be fit to face the eastenders.

West Ham Team News:
Chelsea welcome back former blues Avram Grant, Carlton Cole, Scott Parker, Wayne Bridge and physio Andy Rolls for this match. Parker has been the Hammers' key man this season, though the price was paid and he has looked jaded in recent weeks, as has fellow midfielder Mark Noble.

Bridge has been a more equivocal success at left-back, often looking overwhelmed by the porousness of the Hammers' defending down the flanks but can still put in good shifts when really called upon.

Another loanee, Robbie Keane, has seen more action recently as the goals have dried up. He delivered by scoring the opener in the 1-2 defeat by Aston Villa last time out.

Chelsea Stats and Milestones:
  • Since Chelsea's last league defeat against Liverpool on 6 February they have won 20 points from a possible 24.

They have won at Fulham and Blackpool, drawn with Stoke, Wolves, Birmingham, Blackburn, Everton, West Brom and Tottenham and lost at Aston Villa, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Sunderland, Newcastle and Bolton.

Days Since:
Chelsea last won silverware: 343
West Ham won an away point to one of the 'Big 4" clubs:812
Arsenal won a trophy: 2,162
Liverpool won a trophy: 1,796

My take on the game:
i think this will be harder then it looks, West Ham have no pressure on them and Chelsea need a win simple as that. Saying that i think we will have enough to beat them but it wont be Torres's first goal day (he has that set for Spurs next Saturday).

Im predicting a 2-0 win for Chelsea with Malouda and Lampard getting the goals.

Holy barnacles, Batman! The dreaded wall of text has struck again, and Curtis isn't the culprit!

With that said, I think it'll be a draw in the form of Chelsea 2 - 2 West Ham.

The case remains, we have to win all our 5 games and none of them are easy

Chelsea vs West Ham (Anything can Happen with the Hammers fighting for relegation)
Chelsea vs Tottenham (Going to be extremely tough as predicted)
Chelsea vs Manchester United ( Most Vital Match of the Season)
Chelsea vs Newcaatle (Newcastle are probably the most unpredictable side in the PLM this year)
Chelsea vs Everton (Again anything can happen)

So if we do hope of achieving any silverware this season we have to win all our remaining games and hope United slip up, any draw or loss from here on will erase our title hopes, so I am hoping for another confident Chelsea performance to give us momentum going into the two crucial matches against Tottenham and United

Lol my match threads are always this long. Its one of the reasons why im special my mum says.

Did you warm up to Malouda after his goals?

No, we should still get rid in the summer. I just think he will score as he gets his goals in little patches over the season

How is Bridge going to act on Terry? Another handshake snub?

Very intresting question. Its the first time they would have faced each over since handshake gate. Im suprised this hasent cropped that much in the media.

Will be tough but we will push Utd all the way without a dout. Cech came out and said the confidence around the place at the moment reminds him of last season/early this season. They now know they will score goals insted of thinking about it too much.

C'mon Hammers make them drop points so we can hopefully get 2nd back

Just saw that Scott Parker is out and will miss the game. Huge bonus for Chelsea without a dout.

3-0 for Chelsovich ( JK :P ), Torres hattrick ( JK :P ) :D

Wow so much water on the pitch

Torres scored for Chelsea.

I have to say though, West Ham played well today, especially the Syers guy. Ripped us apart at times.

Very nice finish from Fernando, he's looked good since coming on the pitch- Still not worth 50 Million yet though.. ;)
