Clear cut chances

Whats up with these missed clear cut chances.. sometimes i find it just ridicolous..
I mean players miss chances that in real life would end up behind keepers back everytime..
i was wondering if this is somekind of bug.. any1 else got same problem??
i'm thinking of quitting the game until the thing fixes couse its really frustrating.
 
i think it is a bug , that will be sorted in the next patch, it will be out january I think ..
 
its not a bug

the prpblems that far too many people place too much importance on a clear cut chance. the definition itself is incredibly woolly. some clear cut chances arent really clear cut, and some will be absolute sitters. what you should be dooing is looking at the quality of the chance. i tend to ignore the CCC stat, and look at the number of shots im gettin on target and where they are coming from
 
It seems to me that one-on-ones have a poor conversion rate whatever level the human manager plays at whereas the AI teams have an almost 100% success rate with them...

definitely a bug imo...
 
well you got a point but still there are chances where player is 1 vs 1 with keeper and no1 else near them but he shoots directly at keeper and when it happens 2 or 3 times in 1 match it becomes really annoying.. and its not just in the players becouse its happening no matter wich club i have. so i really hope its a bug couse i dont have the nervs for this :)

Watching football I'm "tired" of seeing sitters missed, of seeing an easy goal wasted because the striker shoots it at the goalkeeper's.

Realistic. Not bug. Don't change it.
 
Probably not a bug. Sometimes they miss a lot of those, while other times most of them go in. I'm not too bothered by it. But while I agree that missing 3 or 4 "1 on 1s" in a random match is acceptable, I do think that maybe SI should slightly tweak the conversion rate so that it doesn't happen to a world-class striker in each and every game.

In short, a 100% conversion rate for a 1v1 in every match is not realistic, but neither is missing most of them every match.

The missed CCC's adds to the realism of the Manager style gameplay. Can you imagine how ****** managers get when their team is playing well and they don't get the results they deserve. Or how ****** they get when they get great oppurtunities and miss them. Defenitely adds to the realism.
 
gabby agbonlahor is the worst followed closely by Kadlec good amount of goals each but how many chances dya need
 
i think its not bug
i create like 5-8.9 CCC a game and mostly score half of them
but scoring is sure weird sometimes , i got this regen with 8 finishing and he scored 7 in 5 matches
 
Not sure if it has changed since the demo. But on my demo games the amount of chances they miss does get ridiculous sometimes. I mean id expect about half of one on ones to be scored but it's rare that that ratio is achieved.
 
Probably not bug but very annoying. Doesn't really seem to depend on stats much either though, which is odd -- on my Liverpool save, Torres regularly missed one on ones, at a rate of about 2 a game (still had a 44 goal season though, and somehow didn't get inured). In the second season I signed Hulk (finishing 16, composure 11) and 8 games in, he's only missed 3 one on ones :/
 
I do agree with what some people are saying bout alot of sitters missed, the amount of open goals and 1 v 1 in my first season with middlesbrough was ridiculous but cant decide if i would like it to be changed,

having the ball 2 yards from an open goal and some how putting it wide or finding the keeper at the far post.

There seems to be alot missed but also theres alot of 1 v 1 chances created each match which seems unrealistic

Kris boyd getting 3 goals in close to 40 appearences is an example, left me tearing my hair out with his misses

I feel the game is very woolly on what it designate as a clear cut chance, but then that leads to the question; What is defined as a clear cut chance? I tend to ignore the CCC stat and judge each chance on its own, you often see that some CCC really arent all that clear cut, whereas some will be absolute sitters.

Its hard to make a comparison with the FM CCC's since the stat itself doesnt exist in real life. As for striker conversion rates i've dug up a few stats on the top finishers from last season (league goals only), these are all comparable to stats that can be found in game:

Edin Dzeko: 22 goals from 153 shots - 14.37% conversion rate; 70 shots on target 31.42% conversion rate
Mamadou Niang: 18 goals from 108 shots - 16.66% conversion rate; 42 shots on target 42.85% conversion rate
Wayne Rooney: 26 goals from 182 shots - 14.28% conversion rate; 58 shots on target 44.83% conversion rate
Didier Drogba: 31 goals from 178 shots - 17.41% conversion rate; 67 shots on target 50.81% conversion rate
Cristiano Ronaldo: 26 goals from 211 shots - 12.32% conversion rate; 94 shots on target 27.66% conversion rate
Gonzalo Higuaín: 27 goals from 198 shots - 13.63% conversion rate; 52 shots on target 51.92% conversion rate
David Villa: 21 goals from 139 shots - 15.10% conversion rate; 61 shots on target 34.43% conversion rate
Lionel Messi: 34 goals from 163 shots - 20.85% conversion rate; 86 shots on target 39.53% conversion rate
Antonio Di Natale: 29 goals from 152 shots - 19.08% conversion rate; 71 shots on target 40.85% conversion rate
Diego Milito: 22 goals from 86 shots - 25.58% conversion rate; 36 shots on target 61.11% conversion rate

hmm interesting stats but this also includes long shots players did.. so if you could check just clear cut chances ronaldo scored from in last season it would be more than 27% conversion rate.. ;)
anyway I think it would also be unrealistic if my players scored from all ccc couse I made 11 CCC in one game and if all went in result would be epic. but some misses are truly unbelivable..
they should just remove CCC section in game stats and frustration would decrease :P :)
