Hey TTF , just one question... why do u tell us to train our wingbacks , as complete wing back ? and our centre backs as Ball Playing Deff ? In the tactic they are Central Deff's , not Ball playing. And the backs are Full backs not Wing backs, also Wide Midf you told us to train them as IF or Winger ? Why ? For WM you need tackling as far as i know. And The Cm you told us to train as ADv Playmaker , can you explain why is all that , thanks for the amazing work :)

They are many "Generic" roles in the game such as Central Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder, Wide Midfielder, Full Back and many other that have great customization available so by tweaking their PIs you can make them behave whatever you want and in order to do well in matches taking into considerations their set of PIs they needs some specific attributes.

For example, you can add "Dribble Less" PI or "Dribble More" PI to your Central Midfielder so depends on that "Dribbling" attribute will become important or not important for your Central Midfielder.

As you can see by adding different PIs/TIs you make some attributes to be important and some are not important for the different positions in your tactic so after all you instructions that you added to your team you need to look and find out how your instructions changes behavior of the position in your tactic and what attributes they need to do well taking into consideration their PIs and TIs.

thanks for the post. so let's say I have a league game and I play with my regular 11. Next game I have a cup game that I do not care about so I change the 11 completely with my second 11. The third game is the league game so I switch back to my regular 11. Does changing the team too much have any bad effects?

When you leave some player outside of the starting eleven then you only risk causing these negative effects:

- upset this player by leaving him on the bench but don't worry if he's upset then he'll tell you about it and if he isn't then you shouldn't worry about.

- this player might lose a little bit "Match Sharpness" when he doesn't play for long time but if his "Match Sharpness" doesn't fall below 90% then you shouldn't worry about.

You inevitable have to rotate your team during the season or stacking "Jadedness" will make your players just walk on the pitch after 1st half of the match at the end of the season even they have 95% before the match.

thank you but I'm actually asking the opposite. Does too much rotation affect the team badly? (team cohesion)

Been trying this with a few tweaks as I didn't like how with 2 DLF's they stand around not really penetrating, and so I changed the left forward to a AF. Next thing I noticed was that the right forward was being pulled too high with the 'tight marking' instruction and so unticked that and also ticked 'hold position'. This tends to make him drop into the hole while the AF pushed the line a little more. Surprisingly, the two still link up quite well. The right forward I also reduce his closing down so he marks his player more often instead of closing down a defender and opening an easy pass - this usually results in the opposition playing long balls.

I've also unticked 'tight marking' on the DM and taken his closing down a tad as I found it took him out of position too much.

I've also tried changing the CM to automatic and ticked 'hold position' which seems to instruct him to hang at the edge of the oppositions box, which I prefer.

I'm not saying these make the tactic better but it does seem to make it more potent.
Please can I just confirm three things about this tweak? The first is have you changed the STCR's closing down to 'sometimes' or 'less' and do you still use specific man marking? Oh, and have you changed the mentality/team shape, etc. or were they the only changes? Thanks in advance!

I was thinking maybe changing the team too much ruins their chemistry or something do you think such a thing exists in FM?

You can say that you're "changing the team" is when you buy or sell players and of course, in this case "team cohesion" suffers but you just rotate your players and it's a totally different thing.

I did not mean buying players I was just talking about rotating. If this does no damage to the team performance then I don't mind rotating like crazy

It doesn't do any damage to the team cohesion if you are asking about that.
