Allison is doing great, however the Wide Midfielder role is very difficult to find in the game. Only few players perform well with that instruction.

I'll keep updating. ATM i'm 2 in the league behind juventus
 
Can someone say what the tweaks are to the dl/dr please? I'd rather not have to upload a new file for a couple of tweaks
 
does everyone just use as downloaded or do they change things? i.e. PI's, TI's and player roles
 
Something I don't understand with the passing. Doesn't seem to matter if the player with the ball is right on the edge of the box, 90% of the time they'll try play a diagonal ball to the fb even if that means putting it over the top of a bunch of defenders. I feel they're getting a little closer with this patched edition but there are still some very odd choices players make instead of making a simple pass. Just wondering if this is a match engine thing or a tactic thing? Don't see how it's a tactic thing as all players seem to play that ball

To me, the most important role in this tactic are the fullbacks.

mate the wide midfeilder are more more important


Also ML/MR positions are the most important positions in the tactic and the tactic's performance scales greatly with quality of players at these positions, of course, the strikers and full backs are also important positions.

You can't really argue which position is 'more important'. I would argue the FB's contribute to more areas of the game and need to be effective in attack and defence. This is true of the ML/MR but I'd say if you had FB's with low stamina for example, the tactic would struggle. Each position is important but the players who occupy that position are more important. The only thing that I'd add further is that I've tweaked this to my team and actually changed the MR to an IF (s) as I've changed the roles of the left striker and so now the right striker and the MR switch positions - MR runs forward more often when right striker drops deep. So I'd say there is more area for tweaking the ML/MR position where I'd personally struggle to find how you'd tweak how the FB's work in this tactic

mate i am not argueing at all, just saying what tff said to when i asked if i should get hazard or pogba he said hazard cuz player like him its very rare to find, and for sure every position is important, and i didnt tweaked anything i am happy with the way my player prefrom. who are u playing with?

Don't worry, I know you're not and I'm not either. I always play as Spurs and so they have a pretty good team already. Only players I've bought for the first team are Barbosa and Emre Can. Spurs already have good CM's but I didn't like Dembele keep booting the ball (has poor vision) and so I play Can CM and Dier DM, with Chadli as the IF and Son on the left. I don't like Lamela in real life so got rid of him straight away :p

I only tweaked it as I didn't like how with two DLF's they stood a little static all the time. So I kept Kane as DLF (right side(removed tight marking so he drops deeper more) and changed left striker (Barbosa) to advanced forward. Gives the attack more movement and creates more I feel. The left side of midfield works really well together but I felt the MR went forward too often and left a big hole in right side of the pitch as Walker would usually dart forward and Dier (DM) stays back. I didn't want to change DM as he offers protection and so moved MR to IF (s) (with a few instructions) and he seems to swap around with Kane when Kane drops back. Just works for me :)

I'm afraid I can't upload things but it's only tweaks and so you're welcome to try them if you'd like to;

DM changed closed down to much less and removed tight marking. Reasoning for this is that I like the DM to stay filling the pocket as much as possible and so don't want him chasing down players. The tight marking also means he marks a player he's close to and so also means he could be pulled out of position and found he'd mark players further up the pitch then I wanted

MC removed tight marking. Same reasoning as above.

MR moved to IF support role. Instructions - Close down much more, tight marking (to track back), get further forward, roam from position, cut inside with ball, shorter passing, shoot less often, cross near post...good team work stat would be important to help track back...keep narrow or wide unticked (gray)

ML close down much more, tight marking (think it was already?)

Striker (right) DLF support. Removed tight marking, close down much less (want him to stay on man as much as possible and not chase down), move into channels, hold position, dribble more, shoot less

Striker (left) advanced forward. close down at highest, tackle harder, mark tighter (want him on DC shoulder), more direct passing, shoot less

I just prefer the movement these changes give me

Thanks for the detailed post mate :) I really like how you interpret / explain the tactic so will definitely try most of your changes (if not all :P) & see where it takes me.

One final question pls: I guess you're not instructing the Right Striker to Man Mark one of the opponents' midfielders as per TFF9's instructions in the OP, right?

Cheers buddy. These are only the changes listed that I've made and everything else stays as the original. I use V5 and the version with manual man-marking. The man-marking is crucial as it turns the formation into a 451 in defence. Yeah, I definitely follow the instructions on the right side striker man marking that TFF laid out
