Arsenal FC

So Arsenal were winners of the poll by a long way, im not planning to add any rules at this point as it will be my second FM14 save and first as a decent team i feel that will be enough to see me through a fair few seasons.
I have been looking at players to sign with Arsenal struggling in Goal and all along the back.

If people could recommend players for me i would be grateful. Not obvious ones like Baines is a good LB (Yeah but im quoted ?30million for him!)

Im leaning towards some old men actually with some suprise players interested.

Comment and like as much as you can to keep my enthusiasm up!

So this story has become so much more than just an Arsenal save since taking over at PSG, Holland, Shakhtar and im currently in my second season with Rangers.

You realise this is the stories section and not the player section right - you're supposed to update us on what happens in your game, not ask for advice! Good luck though.

I haven't read any of his stories, and I've not intention in getting into an argument with you on this thread, but I have to say, this story hasn't exactly started brilliantly, has it?

He's asking the readers to get involved. Just because he doesn't have pictures and things on the introduction doesn't mean its a bad post. Cool knows what hes doing and most people on this site can agree with what I just said!

I think you misunderstood TheFalse9's initial comment mate. I'm not looking to start any argument but I think he was merely saying he had expected an opening to the story in the OP rather than advice. While I'm not against asking for advice, I can see where he was coming from. I mean that as no disrespect to coolmcool because I've read his stories in the past, followed, commented and given him advice myself. Maybe coolmcool could have asked for advice in his other thread with the poll on? As I say, I'm not starting any arguments or disrespecting coolmcool as I'm eagerly awaiting his story but I thought the OP would have been an introduction into the story rather than advice. Even if he'd done both in the OP - introduced and then asked for advice at the bottom then it'd have been slightly better.

Like I said, I think you just misunderstood what TheFalse9 said - maybe, like myself, he was offering constructive criticism rather than the negative comment you've taken it as. Hope you see where I'm coming from mate!

Well i wasnt expecting such a hoo-haa while i was up in bed last night, I know some people on these sites only like to try to point out other peoples problems but oh well, On my last Arsenal story i sold Walcott and the Polish keeper and a lot of people said how amazing they got, Not being an Arsenal fan i was simply seeing what Arsenal fans had done especially as none of the Arsenal squad are as good as they are doing in real life.

Im not quite sure why it should be in the player section though? As its quite clear im about to make an Arsenal story but am trying for some viewer interaction after Arsenal won my poll?

The future of Arsenal as long as he doesnt pick up too many injuries. It shows the lack of depth in much of the squad as our 3 best players all play in midfield.

So im looking at bringing in a new GK and maybe a ST but please do not tell me who you think i should sign as the False Nine will not be happy :P

A big wedge of money but after looking at a few players the likes of Suarez, Alba and Varane are going to cost far too much money.

The only two people to leave were Frimpong and Park Chu Young, i was going to let the likes of Jenkinson go but needed him for backup.

So i think we were always going to struggle in the first game of the season against Man City who brought in Lucas from Liverpool and Andros Townsend from Tottenham to add to all of their other new players. After the close fought City game we settled the ship with 4 straight wins with Huntelaar grabbing 4 goals in his opening 5 games in an Arsenal shirt.

They actually got quite a hard group for Man Utd standards with Dortmund and At Madrid in their group. Thanks for reading
 
Could do with a promising CB like Ginter or something. Getting a new keeper wasn't really necessary as Szczesny turns into a beast

Left back is fine, don't let the star ratings trick you. Gibbs is good on attack role and Monreal is solid defensively. Best of both worlds there. Could do with a cover RB though as Jenkinson is poor. Barcelona sell Montoya for about ?5M so good buy.

Maybe after that another DM would be a decent position to buy in, means you can push Arteta forward a little and have newbie and Flamini operate DM.

Yeah mate i know that the ratings are deceptive thanks to Ozil being on another level compaired to the rest of the team, I have heard good things about szczesny thats why i didnt sell him this year, the other GK wasnt that expensive so should be some good competition for him. Im only playing one DM at the moment with Wilshere and Ramsey in the middle but did almost sign Lars Bender before Giroud got injured and i had to buy another striker instead.

Almost the perfect month if we hadnt of slipped up against Fulham, We seem to have sorted out the defensive issues but four 1-0 victories in 5 games doesn't fill me with attacking confidence.

4 wins in a row and then a devastating derby loss to Tottenham as i start to get the feeling that we can beat the small teams but will struggle against any of the top 6 with our 2 losses coming against Tottenham and Man City.
